Trump Official Mocks Starmer’s Chief Of Staff With Bizarre Christmas Post

An official from the Trump administration appeared to mock the prime minister and his chief of staff after banning two Britons from the US.

Imran Ahmed and Clare Melford, two British-based executives who campaign against disinformation, had their American visas revoked on Christmas Eve.

This was seen as a particular blow to the Labour government due to Ahmed’s links to Keir Starmer’s top team.

Ahmed, a former adviser to cabinet minister Hilary Benn, is chief executive of the Centre for Countering Digital Hate, which was set up in 2017 by Morgan McSweeney, who is now the No.10 chief of staff.

But the US secretary of state Marco Rubio banned Ahmed and Melford for supposedly leading “efforts to coerce American platforms to punish American viewpoints they oppose”.

Then America’s under secretary of state for public diplomacy, Sarah B Rogers, celebrated the move with a slightly less diplomatic move.

She shared a post on X which read, “Hey McSweeney. Merry Christmas”, and featured an edited photo of Rogers with a Christmas hat on.

Rogers added a further festive touch by adding a Christmas tree emoji.

The Trump official said the ban comes as part of a “red line” for the US and the “extraterritorial censorship of Americans”.

Rogers had already taken aim at the UK’s Online Safety Act in interview with GB News at the start of the month, claiming: “To censor Americans in America is a deal breaker.”

When news of the visa ban broke, a UK government spokesperson said: “The UK is fully committed to upholding the right to free speech.

“While every country has the right to set its own visa rules, we support the laws and institutions which are working to keep the Internet free from the most harmful content.

“Social media platforms should not be used to disseminate child sex abuse material, incite hatred and violence, or spread fake information and videos for that purpose.”

Senior Labour MP Accuses Trump Of ‘Undermining Free Speech’ After Starmer Ally Banned By US

A senior Labour MP has hit out at the Donald Trump administration after an ally of Keir Starmer’s top aide was banned from the United States.

Imran Ahmed is one of two British anti-disinformation campaigners whose US visas are being revoked.

In all, five Europeans have been banned after Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, accused them of leading “efforts to coerce American platforms to punish American viewpoints they oppose”.

In a post on X, he said: “The Trump administration will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of extraterritorial censorship.”

But Chi Onwurah, the Labour MP and chair of the Commons technology committee, said: “Banning people because you disagree with what they say undermines the free speech the administration claims to seek.

“We desperately need a wide ranging debate on whether and how social media should be regulated in the interests of the people.

“Imran Ahmed gave evidence to the select committee’s inquiry into social media, algorithms and harmful content, and he was an articulate advocate for greater regulation and accountability.

“Banning him won’t shut down the debate, too many people are being harmed by the spread of digital hate.”

A UK government spokesperson said: “The UK is fully committed to upholding the right to free speech.

“While every country has the right to set its own visa rules, we support the laws and institutions which are working to keep the Internet free from the most harmful content.

“Social media platforms should not be used to disseminate child sex abuse material, incite hatred and violence, or spread fake information and videos for that purpose.”

Keir Starmer Calls Out Donald Trump’s ‘Quiet, Piggy’ Insult

Keir Starmer has just claimed he would “call out” someone for using Donald Trump’s “quiet, piggy” insult.

The prime minister was on ITV’s Loose Women to promote the government’s new scheme to halve violence against women and girls by calling out misogyny when panellist Myleene Klass asked Starmer about the US president’s remarks.

She said: “You know someone very close, one of our closest allies shall we say, recently used the language – ‘quiet, quiet, piggy’. Would you allow for someone to speak to your daughter, your wife, your colleagues in the way that Trump spoke to a female journalist?”

The US president caused an international stir in November when he insulted a female reporter after she asked about his name being mentioned in newly released emails sent by the dead convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The prime minister replied: “No, I wouldn’t. I absolutely wouldn’t.”

“Would you class it as misogyny, is that something you would be looking at?” Klass asked.

“I would call it out,” he said. “But I would also say, part of the stuff we’re doing with teenagers is talking about behaviours they might not think are problematic but in fact are.”

Klass said: “It’s not just online, they’re learning from the top.”

Starmer has been in a precarious diplomatic situation ever since Trump returned to office at the start of the year.

He has tried to maintain the strong international relationship between the US and the UK while dodging over their ideological differences.

The prime minister has also tried to call out misogyny repeatedly in recent weeks, saying his female cabinet colleagues such as chancellor Rachel Reeves had been victim to it.

Meanwhile, Trump has been accused of ratcheting up his insults towards female reporters in recent weeks, angrily claiming one was “stupid” in November and another is “ugly, inside and out”.

Trump’s ‘Absolutely Crazed’ Threat To Those Who Question His Health Sparks Outrage

Donald Trump flipped out in a post on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday as he issued an ominous warning to anyone who questions his health, suggesting “it’s seditious, perhaps even treasonous” and libelous.

Trump – apparently still fuming from an article in The New York Times that highlighted his recent lightened workload and asked about his energy levels – insisted in a furious, lengthy screed there “has never been a President that has worked as hard as me” with his hours “the longest” and results “among the best.”

Trump touted some of his administration’s purported accomplishments that he claimed had “created an ‘aura’ around the United States of America that has led every Country in the World to respect us more than ever before.”

On his health, he then wrote:

“In addition to all of that, I go out of my way to do long, thorough, and very boring Medical Examinations at the Great Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, seen and supervised by top doctors, all of whom have given me PERFECT Marks — Some have even said they have never seen such Strong Results. I do these Tests because I owe it to our Country. In addition to the Medical, I have done something that no other President has done, on three separate occasions, the last one being recently, by taking what is known as a Cognitive Examination, something which few people would be able to do very well, including those working at The New York Times, and I ACED all three of them in front of large numbers of doctors and experts, most of whom I do not know. I have been told that few people have been able to ‘ace’ this Examination and, in fact, most do very poorly, which is why many other Presidents have decided not to take it at all.”

“Despite all of this, the time and work involved, The New York Times, and some others, like to pretend that I am ‘slowing up,’ am maybe not as sharp as I once was, or am in poor physical health, knowing that it is not true, and knowing that I work very hard, probably harder than I have ever worked before. I will know when I am ‘slowing up,’ but it’s not now!”

The president then warned:

“After all of the work I have done with Medical Exams, Cognitive Exams, and everything else, I actually believe it’s seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean ‘THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.’ They are true Enemies of the People, and we should do something about it.”

Critics on social media slammed the post as “absolutely crazed” and pointed out the hypocrisy, given Trump’s repeated attacks on the health of his predecessor, former President Joe Biden.

European Leaders Can’t Hide Their Grim Expressions During Ukraine Peace Talks

European leaders are rarely upbeat when discussing the devastating war in Ukraine, but Monday’s talks seemed to take the despondence to the next level.

Despite rolling out the red carpet for Volodymyr Zelenskyy outside No.10 Downing Street, and embracing the embattled Ukrainian president tightly, Keir Starmer looked more than just a little concerned as he hosted the small delegation.

His counterparts, French president Emmanuel Macron and German chancellor Friedrich Merz, wore similarly glum expressions.

Their hastily-arranged meeting came after Ukrainian negotiators failed to make any headway with their US opposites over the latest draft of Donald Trump’s peace deal.

The American president, who is desperate to secure an end to the war by any means possible, was accused of offering up a plan which would reward Russia for its aggression last month.

European allies then watered it down – but the Kremlin deemed some elements of that altered draft unworkable.

Trump has since blamed Zelenskyy for the hold-up, alleging that he has not even read the latest plan.

The US also published its National Security Strategy over the weekend which notably failed to list Russia as a threat, and instead called out European allies.

Amid wider fears that Washington would be happy to give away even more of Ukraine’s sovereign territory just to placate Putin, Starmer invited Zelenskyy, Merz and Macron to the UK to reiterate their support for the beleaguered country.

While the four leaders did not hold a press conference and only spoke for a few moments in front of the media, there were clear signs that all was not going well.

Merz, famously pro-America, was the first to publicly express his concerns about Trump’s plan, saying from Downing Street that he is “sceptical” about “some of the details coming in the documents from the US side”.

Meanwhile Macron said Europe has a “lot of cards in our hands” – a throwaway remark which could be seen as a reference to Trump’s infamous attack on Zelenskyy in the Oval Office in February.

The US president told the Ukrainian leader “you don’t have the cards” when it comes to the war, and that Kyiv needed to “make a deal or we’re out”.

Zelenskyy painted an equally bleak picture by claiming: “We can’t manage without Americans… we can’t managed without Europe.”

Starmer mainly reiterated his support for Ukraine during today’s meeting in front of the cameras – but his facial expressions spoke for themselves.

Both Merz and Macron left after a short stay in Downing Street.

Starmer and Zelenskyy spoke in private about what they can do next to keep the US on side – while not giving too much to Russia – for an hour before parting ways – and looking rather glum.

FIFA Awards Trump Peace Prize Clearly Created Just For Him

During the 2026 World Cup draw on Friday, FIFA awarded President Donald Trump its first-ever “FIFA Peace Prize” — a gold medal and large trophy that are absolutely, totally not a consolation prize after he lost out on the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this year.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino lavished praise on Trump while handing over the award “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world.”

A video that played before Trump took the stage described him as “a dynamic leader who has engaged in diplomatic efforts that created opportunities for dialog, de-escalation and stability, and who has championed the unifying power of football on the world stage.”

Earlier in the day, when reporters asked about the upcoming award, the president repeated a version of his misleading claim, saying he has settled “eight wars.”

Trump gave a short acceptance speech after he was awarded FIFA’s obsequious new award, calling it “one of the great honours” of his life before pivoting to ticket sales for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which he claimed are moving well.

“The numbers are beyond any numbers,” the president observed.

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. Trump claims Machado called him afterward and said she accepted the prize in Trump’s honour because he was the one who “really deserved it.”

Infantino and Trump are close allies. So close, even, that in July, Infantino let Trump keep the Club World Cup’s 24-karat-gold-plated trophy, forcing FIFA to give a replica to the tournament’s actual winning team.

Trump’s acceptance of a peace prize coincides with rising furor over actions being looked at as a potential war crime carried out by his administration during an attack on alleged drug smugglers in September.

The president also recently pardoned a former Honduran president who had been sentenced to decades in prison for swamping the United States with hundreds of tons of cocaine.

Sabrina Carpenter Hits Out At White House For Using Her Song In ‘Disgusting’ Video

Sabrina Carpenter has hit out at US president Donald Trump’s administration after the White House used her song to soundtrack a video she has described as “evil and disgusting”.

Responding on the same platform on Tuesday afternoon, the Grammy winner wrote: “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

“This post honestly makes me sick,” she responded. “My music is about love, unity, and spreading positivity – never about division or hate.”

‘Zero Gratitude!’ Trump Attacks Ukraine Leaders Over Response To His Peace Plan

Donald Trump has attacked the Ukrainian leadership for showing “zero gratitude” over the US’s new peace plan to end Russia’s war.

America has unveiled a new 28-point framework meant to resolve the Ukraine conflict in recent days and given Kyiv until Thursday to agree to it – or the US will withdraw access to its intelligence and weaponry.

However, there are fears the plan involves too much capitulation from Ukraine towards its aggressor, almost four years after Vladimir Putin invaded, and that it was authored with too much input from Russia.

The framework involves capping Ukraine’s armed forces at 600,000, giving up its weapons and ceding even more territory to Russia, which already controls a fifth of Ukraine’s sovereign land.

Some senators even claimed Trump’s top diplomat Marco Rubio described the plan as “Russia’s wish list”, a remark which the State Department has rejected.

Top western officials are now holding talks on the proposals in Geneva.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv faces a difficult choice between sacrificing the country’s dignity and losing a major ally.

After Zelenskyy posted on social media that “further work” is ongoing to make sure Ukrainian perspectives are included, the US president furiously took to social media.

“UKRAINE ‘LEADERSHIP’ HAS EXPRESSED ZERO GRATITUDE FOR OUR EFFORTS, AND EUROPE CONTINUES TO BUY OIL FROM RUSSIA,” he wrote.

He pointed out that the US still sells weapons to Nato which are distributed to Ukraine.

Writing in a post on TruthSocial, the US president said: “The war between Rsussia and Ukraine is a violent and terrible one that, with strong and proper US and Ukrainian LEADERSHIP, would have NEVER HAPPENED.”

He repeated his previous claims that if the “2020 Presidential Election was not RIGGED & STOLEN” – a baseless allegation – then there would be “no Ukraine/Russia War”.

He added: “Putin would never have attacked!”

He then claimed he inherited a war that “SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED” which is a “LOSER FOR EVERYONE”.

Trump’s outburst comes after Zelenskyy wrote on X: “The Ukrainian delegation is working in Geneva today, focused on finding doable solutions to end the war, restore peace, and guarantee lasting security.

“There have already been brief reports from our delegation members about the outcomes of their first meetings and talks. Currently, there is an understanding that the American proposals may include a number of elements based on Ukrainian perspectives and critical for Ukrainian national interests.

“Further work is ongoing to make all elements truly effective in achieving the main goal anticipated by our people: to finally put an end to the bloodshed and war.”

Trump has been determined to resolve the war in Ukraine ever since he returned to office in January, even claiming he could end it within 24 hours.

He initially seemed to favour Putin’s side, even rolling out the red carpet for him for a rare face-to-face summit in Alaska, before getting frustrated with Russia for not negotiating and slapping fossil fuel sanctions on Moscow.

But this new deal suggests the president has swung back towards backing Russia once again in order to end the war by any means possible.

Trump’s ‘Meaningless’ Ukraine Deal Stunned The West – But He May Have Had An Ulterior Motive

Donald Trump appears to have made yet another major U-turn by working with Russia to come up with a peace deal to end the Ukraine war – without involving Ukraine.

The 28-point plan was leaked this week, and while it is yet to be confirmed by any of the main parties, it is being discussed by international leaders.

But this draft framework is very favourable towards Moscow and meets many of Vladimir Putin’s pre-war demands from Ukraine – including significant territory concessions by Kyiv.

The US reportedly wants this early draft signed as soon as next Thursday – even threatening to withdraw intelligence and weapons unless it agrees to it – although Ukraine has already pushed back.

However, it was not too long ago that Trump was demanding Putin negotiate over the deal.

He even tried to corner him by putting sanctions on Russian oil, which officially came into effect on Friday.

So where did this deal come from – and will it even be effective?

What is in Trump’s 28-point plan for peace in Ukraine?

According to reports in Axios, Reuters and the Financial Times, Ukraine is expected to give up its claim to its sovereign territory, Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk completely – so they become de fact Russian.

Kherson and Zaporzhzhia would be frozen along the lines of contact, while Russia will “relinquish other agreed territories it controls outside the five regions”.

While the leaked draft claimed Ukraine would receive security guarantees, they were not listed. The US would then receive compensation for that guarantee, according to the plan.

Ukraine would also not join Nato, despite having a long-standing ambition to join the defence alliance, and no Nato troops would be stationed in Ukraine.

European fighter jets would be “stationed” in Poland – although details as to which countries would provide these jets remain unclear.

Ukraine’s armed forces would be limited to 600,000 and a Ukrainian election would be held within 100 days.

A joint US-Russia working group would be set up to look at the ongoing security issues, while Russia would return to the global community – and sanctions would be lifted.

Could Trump’s plan work?

Senior consulting fellow for Chatham House’s Russia and Eurasia Programme, Keir Giles, seemed unconvinced – and pointed out a clear flaw with Trump’s plan.

He told HuffPost UK the path towards peace is not as “one-sided as the US might think”, because Ukraine has to have a say for a deal to work.

Giles also said the US’s influence over Ukraine weakens every time the White House withdraws more of its aid.

He suggested that deal had been created so it looks like a “two-sided process” but Russia has not compromised on anything significant.

Dr Simon Bennett, director of the civil safety and security unit at Leicester University, said: “As far as Ukraine is concerned, the plan is a non-starter. Ukraine will never surrender that portion of the Donbas still under its control.

“The Ukrainian people would never stand for it. They have spilled too much blood and treasure to surrender their land.”

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has insisted he will not betray Ukraine’s national interest while he considers Trump’s plan.

But he acknowledged that Kyiv faced losing a major partner or losing its dignity.

Why is the timing around this framework questionable?

Bennett told HuffPost UK that Trump is very keen to get a deal over the line because of his own personal ambitions – and pressures.

He said: “Trump is desperate to claim that he ended the war between Ukraine and Russia, first, because he covets the Nobel Peace Prize, and secondly, because he believes this sort of foreign policy initiative will distract his MAGA base from the Epstein scandal that – depending on what we find in the files when they are released – may cripple his presidency.”

Giles seconded this notion.

The consulting fellow also questioned whether Trump’s deal was “supposed to be released in this form” or if there had been some kind of manipulation from the Russian side to release it early, in a bid to force the US’s hand.

Giles rebuffed claims that Putin’s top diplomat, Sergei Lavrov, had torpedoed any negotiation with the States after a frosty exchange with his American counterpart in October, saying it was clear US’s efforts for peace in Ukraine were always going to continue.

When it comes to Russia’s motives for appearing more willing to negotiate – while actually compromising on almost nothing – Bennett speculated that Putin might be more interested in a peace plan now because of an ongoing resource issue.

“Russia’s progress is painfully slow. Despite its vast resources, the Russian army is failing in the field. Which is why Putin is looking for an off-ramp. He knows his campaign is failing,” Bennett said.

Interestingly, Ukraine also marks the Day of Dignity and Freedom on November 21, the day Trump gave Kyiv a deadline to agree to peace.

Ukraine’s two most recent anti-Russia revolts, the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2013, began on this date.

What happens next?

While Ukraine weighs up how to respond, Giles predicted negotiations will go “round and round” because Trump’s deal is “meaningless and unenforceable”.

Zelenskyy will certainly have to be careful not to outright reject the plan, having been on the receiving end of Trump’s wrath multiple times already this year.

He will want to be seen as co-operative, while still pushing back on the strategy.

Giles also predicted that the “war might not be decided on the frontline,” if the trend of Ukraine being able to better defend itself continues.”

He added that “we should expect surprises from Ukraine” as the war continues and Kyiv is forced to become more self-reliant.

He pointed to the recent attacks on Russian oil refineries and said “the means by which Ukraine can deliver an effect might change the risk-benefit of war for people in the Kremlin.”

Verified images show one of Russia’s largest oil refineries was set on fire twice this week by Ukrainian attacks.

Similarly, Bennett said: “This is Kyiv’s war, not Washington’s war. Trump surrendered his leadership and moral authority when he courted Putin in Alaska.

“This is now Europe’s war. It is nothing to do with a perfidious United States. As I have said before, this is 1939. Europe has again been abandoned by the US. We have to fight and win this on our own.”
