Travis Kelce Shares Problem He Needs To ‘Figure Out’ Before Wedding Planning

Nearly a month after breaking the internet with their engagement announcement, Travis Kelce is teasing fans with a tiny peek into his upcoming nuptials with fiancé and superstar musician Taylor Swift.

During Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights podcast, which he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star was asked by guest Jimmy Fallon if he and Swift have started making wedding arrangements.

“Are you working on planning the wedding?” the late night talk show host asked. “Are you doing this now? Is that the next move?”

“Yeah, that’s the next step. That’s the next step,” Travis replied, prompting Fallon to tell him not to stress about wedding planning.

“That one’s gonna be easy. I just gotta figure out how to win a football game first,” the podcaster quipped. “It’ll be easy compared to trying to figure out how to fucking catch a goddamn football.”

The Chiefs are currently 0-2 and ranking dead last in the AFC West this season.

Considering Swift is a global pop star, Fallon, who has been married to Nancy Juvonen since 2007, naturally asked if the couple have made plans to have a DJ or a band for their ceremony.

“Are you thinking about all this stuff?” Fallon questioned.

“Yeah, I think we’re live music kind of people, you know?” Travis replied of he and Swift.

Meanwhile, the Love Story singer has been hush-hush about the pair’s wedding plans. Although long before she became a bride-to-be, she previously shared how she would go about preparing for the big day.

“I want to build a life with someone that’s based on their dreams as well as my dreams,” she told Cosmopolitan in a 2012 interview. “I don’t want it to just be like, ‘So, I have a scrapbook. In it, I put all the fabric swatches of the wedding dress I’m going to wear. I also have a tuxedo I picked out of a catalog that you’ll wear.’”

The NFL star and Swift have been romantically linked since late 2023, and announced their engagement in an Aug. 26 Instagram post.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the couple captioned the post alongside photos of their picturesque garden proposal.

Travis Kelce Breaks Silence On Taylor Swift Engagement With Very Sweet Update

Taylor Swift’s new fiancé Travis Kelce has spoken out for the first time since the couple shared that they are engaged.

Last week, the pair announced their relationship update in a joint Instagram post that showed the NFL star getting down on his knees in front of the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, surrounded by flowers.

After his engagement made headlines the world over, Travis has now spoken out for the first time since going public with the news in the latest episode of his podcast New Heights, which he co-presents with his brother Jason Kelce.

In a teaser clip shared online on Wednesday, Travis said: “I appreciate everybody who’s reached out and said something, and all the posts, and all the excitement that’s been going on.”

He added: “It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”

It’s expected that Travis and Jason will discuss the engagement further elsewhere in the upcoming episode of New Heights, which will begin streaming later on Wednesday.

Taylor and Travis first began dating in the summer of 2023, after he admitted to having a crush on her on his podcast, and they were subsequently pictured together for the first time after one of his team’s games that September.

“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” she later told Time magazine. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date.”

Taylor is currently gearing up for the release of her 12th album The Life Of A Showgirl, which is rumoured to have been inspired by her life on the road for her mammoth Eras Tour, and features a duet with woman of the hour Sabrina Carpenter.

After Travis Kelce made his stage debut at Taylor Swift’s Eras tour in London this weekend, it seems the couple are more loved up than ever.

The pair were first romantically linked in early September 2023, before the pop icon attended one of the Kansas City Chief player’s games later that month.

They’ve since been spotted out and about together on numerous occasions, and the couple have supported one another in their respective vocations on the field and stage.

Now, the American football star has opened up about when he realised he was “falling” for the Karma singer.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, Travis explained how the 14-time Grammy winner can relate to things like his team’s big Super Bowl win in February.

“She’s very self-aware,” he said. “She understands situations like that and I think that’s why I really started to fall for her, how genuine she is just around friends and family.

“It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she keeps it so chill and so cool and I can admire it for sure.”

However, Travis said the moment that “really won me over” was how the pop singer handled her first public outing at a Chiefs game.

The NFL star recalled that the singer wanted to “be around family and friends, and experience this with everybody”, and chose to not opt for extra security but instead walk through the front door..

He added that while he wants to “keep things private” when it comes to his relationship, he’s also “not here to hide anything”.

“That’s my girl, that’s my lady, so it’s like, I’m proud of that,” the Super Bowl champ shared.

On Sunday night, Travis made a brief but memorable appearance at Taylor’s third Wembley Stadium show, sending Swifties into a frenzy.

And that all came after Taylor posted a selfie with her boyfriend and Prince William, along with the future monarch’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Elsewhere at her big Wembley weekend, Taylor duetted with Paramore’s Hayley Williams and sang for countless A-listers in the audience who went wild for the Shake It Off star.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce headed to the club to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ stunning Super Bowl win in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

And with them, they brought two unexpected guests: her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift.

The Blank Space singer hilariously posted a TikTok of the after-party with her parents, captioning the video, “Accidentally going clubbing with your parents is something everyone should try at least once in their life.”

“It’s a friends and family party, they said,” Taylor Swift wrote in text over the video clip, which showed Kelce sticking his tongue out at the camera.

“Bring your parents, they said,” she joked, as Ludacris’ What’s Your Fantasy played in the background and her mom and dad looked at the camera.

The video ended with Swift giving the camera a slight grimace.

Swift and the Chiefs partied at the XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas, according to a Wynn press release shared with HuffPost on Monday, and arrived at around 2:15 am.

Fellow celebrities ― including Miles Teller, Jason Kelce, Brittany Mahomes and Blake Lively ― partied alongside the Super Bowl champs. The Wynn shared that Kelce and Swift stayed out until at least 5:15 am.

During their celebratory night out, the couple sang along to two of Swift’s hit songs, Love Story and You Belong With Me.

Swift will head back to the stage in just a few days, as she heads to Melbourne, Australia, for the next international leg of her Eras Tour.

Just prior to the Super Bowl, the Cruel Summer singer performed four straight nights at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

Travis Kelce is trying to keep his head in the game before Super Bowl LVIII.

While there was some speculation the NFL star would be on girlfriend Taylor Swift’s arm at this weekend’s Grammy Awards, Kelce confirmed he won’t be around for the biggest night in music.

“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for, but I think I’ve got practice on Sunday,” he said during an interview on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday.

This year, Swift is nominated for six awards, including Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

“Unfortunately, I’ve got to get ready for this big old Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week,” the tight end added.

While Kelce and Swift’s relationship has caused a frenzy, the athlete told McAfee his personal life is not going to be a distraction on the field.

The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, February 11, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

It’s still up in the air if Swift will make it to the big game to support Kelce.

While she’s been a fixture at Chiefs games this season, she’ll be performing in Toyko the night before the Super Bowl.
