All The A-List Red Carpet Photos You Need To See From The 2026 TV Baftas

Some of the biggest names in both British and international telly were gathered under one roof on Sunday night for the annual TV Baftas – and that meant one especially star-studded red carpet.

The guestlist included actors, TV presenters, comedians and reality stars (not to mention, thanks to Celebrity Traitors, some guests who were technically all of the above), with the stars of nominated shows as wide-ranging as Adolescence, Last One Laughing, The Studio, EastEnders, Severance, Rivals and What It Feels Like For A Girl all putting in an appearance.

From homegrown to talent to cult favourites and global household names, here are all the A-list photos from the TV Baftas red carpet that you need to see…

Jane Fonda Gets Reflective About ‘Complicated’ Marriage To The Late Ted Turner

Jane Fonda has shared her thoughts on her “complicated” marriage to media mogul Ted Turner in an exceptionally earnest tribute following the news of his death at the age of 87.

Offering her “immediate thoughts about Ted” in a Wednesday afternoon Instagram post, the Hollywood veteran and lifelong activist looked back on their relationship as “challenging”, while adding that she had “always been up for a challenge, and with Ted it was almost always worth it”.

“He swept into my life, a gloriously handsome, deeply romantic, swashbuckling pirate and I’ve never been the same,” she said of Turner, who was her husband from 1991 until their divorce in 2001.

Explaining how it felt for the multifaceted billionaire to need her love, Fonda wrote: “No one had ever let me know they needed me, and this wasn’t your average human being that needed me, this was the creator of CNN, and Turner Classic Movies, who had won the America’s Cup as the world’s greatest sailor.

“He had a big life, a brilliant mind and a soaring sense of humour.”

She also acknowledged his ability to care for her, writing: “To be needed and cared for simultaneously is transformative.”

“Ted Turner helped me believe in myself. He gave me confidence. I think I did the same for him, but that’s what women are raised to do,” the Oscar winner went on to say, calling Turner’s ability to be vulnerable one of his “greatest strengths”.

Fonda said she learned more from Turner than “more than any other person or school classes” could teach before remarking how he was the “most competitive person” she had ever met – besides storied actor Katharine Hepburn – and how “fascinating” that was “to witness”.

“Whether it was who’d made the most ski runs at the end of the day, to acres of land owned (stewarded is the more fitting word for his relationship to land), who had the most billions, how many countries he’d made love to his prior lover in and could I match that, it was challenging,” she said.

Continuing her lengthy homage in the comments, the Barbarella star said: “I loved Ted with all my heart.”

“I see him in heaven now with all the wildlife he helped bring back from extinction,” Fonda went on. “

The black footed ferrets, the prairie dogs, Big Horned sheep, Mexican Gray Wolf, the Yellowstone wolf pack, bison, the red cockaded woodpecker and so many more, they’re all gathered at the pearly gates applauding and thanking him for saving their species.”

Addressing the five offspring that now survive Turner, she called them, “five talented, complex kids who I had the privilege of becoming stepmother to”.

“I love them to this day,” she went on. “If it was complicated to be married to him, think how complicated it was being his child. And they are all doing fine.”

“Rest in Peace, dearest Ted,” her message ended. “You are loved and you will be remembered.”

Though the couple split in 2001, they remained friends after.

Less than a week before his death, Fonda had called the television trailblazer her “favourite ex-husband” during the opening of this year’s TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood, adding that founding the festival’s namesake network, Turner Classic Movies, is just one of the “great things that he did”.

Turner will also be remembered as the creator of CNN, the world’s first 24-hour cable news channel, as well as WTBS and TNT.

19 Must-See Celebrity Looks From The 2026 Met Gala Red Carpet

Every year, the Met Gala gathers together some of the most famous faces from across the world of music, cinema, sport and, of course, fashion for a star-studded fundraiser in aid of the Metropolitan Museum Of Art’s Costume Institute.

This year’s event was held on Monday night, and proved to be as A-list as ever.

Co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and, as ever, Anna Wintour, the themed dress code of 2026’s Met Ball was “Fashion Is Art” – really allowing the famous guests to think outside the box and let their imaginations run wild when putting together their red carpet looks.

And what do you know – some of them actually did.

On that note, we’ve pieced together some of the must-see looks from this year’s Met Gala, from some of the biggest stars on the planet…

Beyoncé

via Associated Press

As one of the organisers of the Met Gala this year, Beyoncé will have known that all eyes were on her on the red carpet.

Leaning into the elaborate theme, the Break My Soul singer sported this glittering, skeletal-inspired look on the red carpet, where she was joined by her husband Jay-Z and eldest daughter Blue Ivy Carter, marking the 14-year-old’s Met Ball debut.

Sam Smith

via Associated Press

Sam Smith has become renowned for their dramatic approach to fashion in recent history, and this year’s Met Ball really afforded them the chance to go all out.

Channelling Norma Desmond, the British star gave us old school Hollywood glamour in a floor-length black dress complete with bejeweled adornments, billowing sleeves and a feather headpiece.

Madonna

via Associated Press

Madonna’s Met Gala look was a real departure from what we’re used to seeing the Queen of Pop in, opting for something more gothic, dark and, frankly, weird that we’re totally here for.

The Bring Your Love singer’s ensemble was directly inspired by a Leonora Carrington painting, in one of the night’s more literal interpretations of “Fashion Is Art”.

Janelle Monáe

Janelle Monáe brings it every single Met Ball, and a theme like “Fashion Is Art” was always going to be in their wheelhouse.

The 10-time Grammy nominee mixed the old and new with their imaginative look, which incorporated elements of nature and technology, merging moss and butterflies with wires and microchips.

Luke Evans

via Associated Press

Dressed in head-to-toe leather, Luke Evans’ look was an obvious nod to Tom Of Finland.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the Met Ball red carpet, the Welsh actor said that “playing such an iconic character on stage” in the current Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show made him want to put a “twist” on an “iconic gay artist who has influenced so much”.

Gwendoline Christie

via Associated Press

Former Game Of Thrones star Gwnendoline Christie has never been one to shy away from leaning into a Met Gala theme.

On Monday night, her look consisted of a massive feathered hat and a floor-length red dress nodding to faded glamour – but our favourite part of the whole ensemble was the hand-held mirror, adorned with a recreation of her own face.

Katy Perry

John Salangsang/Shutterstock

Perhaps inspired by her own trip to space last year, Katy Perry’s Met Gala look consisted of what appeared to be a fencing mask, with a shiny and opaque face covering on the front.

As she made her way down the red carpet, Katy revealed that the mask also swung open, adding even further to its futuristic elements (and putting us slightly in mind of a Star Wars villain).

Emma Chamberlain

via Associated Press

We’re going to be very honest and say that content creator Emma Chamberlain was not exactly the person we thought was going to turn it out the hardest at Monday night’s event – but you can’t argue with this look can you?

In fact, the influencer may have just given us our favourite Met Gala look of 2026, with the dripping paint effect creating an optical illusion that really served the night’s theme.

Chase Infiniti

Fresh from her Oscar nomination and leading performance in the new Handmaid’s Tale spin-off The Testaments, Chase Infiniti’s Met Gala debut was also one of our favourites from this year’s event.

The One Battle After Another star’s colourful dress almost put us in mind of painting-by-numbers (in the best way!), with its graphic design.

Sarah Paulson

via Associated Press

On its own, Sarah Paulson’s expansive, red carpet look would have been show-stopping enough, putting us in mind of a presidential ball as much as an event like the Met Gala – but that dollar bill blindfold accessory really gives it something extra.

Sadly, even though Madonna was there too, we didn’t get a recreation of one of our favourite moments in Met Ball history.

Ben Platt

via Associated Press

One of the more literal “Fashion Is Art” ensembles came from Ben Platt, wearing a colourful suit inspired by one of Georges Pierre Seurat’s most famous works.

The Seurat painting, of course, was also the basis of the iconic Stephen Sondheim production Sunday In The Park With George, which makes Tony winner Ben wearing it all the more fitting.

SZA

via Associated Press

SZA’s Met Gala look consisted of a layered gown in this absolutely gorgeous yellow colour, as well as a floral headpiece and some beaded face jewellery for the evening.

Our favourite part of the whole look, though, was just how much of a blast the Good Days singer was clearly having wearing it.

Lisa

via Associated Press

Extra body parts always go down well on the Met Ball red carpet, and Lisa’s look was no exception.

The jury’s out on whether “Fashion Is Art” really came into play here, but we just think the Blackpink and White Lotus star looks really cool, to be honest.

Skepta

via Associated Press

Another big name doing the UK proud on the Met Gala red carpet was Brit Award nominee Skepta.

The rapper made a big impression in this matching white co-ord, which he later revealed was adorned with embroidery inspired by his own tattoos, as well as his own song lyrics.

Nicole Kidman

via Associated Press

Listen, Nicole Kidman never misses on the red carpet, but given how imaginative some people were with their looks, this feels a little out of place.

We’ve mostly mentioned it in this round-up so we can include her explanation for it.

Fashion is art and I wanted something red, because I wanted to embrace the way in which red has been used in art through the years,” she apparently claimed.

Just fantastic stuff

Kim Kardashian

via Associated Press

Kim Kardashian’s latest Met Ball look consisted of a molded bodysuit in an eye-catching shade of orange.

Again, it wasn’t exactly our favourite outfit of the evening, but given just how synonymous with the Met Gala that Kim K has become, we just had to include her, alright.

Heidi Klum

via Associated Press

For the 2026 Met Ball, Heidi transformed herself into a living artpiece, paying homage to 19th century sculpture with the aid of prosthetics and unconventional materials to deliver one of the night’s most talked-about looks.

Bad Bunny

via Associated Press

And speaking of prosthetics – Bad Bunny’s look was certainly an unconventional one, too.

The recent Super Bowl headliner walked the red carpet as an older version of itself, which it’s been pointed out was a probable nod to “The Aging Body”, a key element of the Met’s Costume Institute’s exhibit this year.

Rihanna

via Associated Press

Her latest Met Ball look was another mix of the old and new – offering an unconventional silhouette and undoubtedly the night’s most intricate adornments.

We absolutely love what she did with her hair, too, with her partner A$AP Rocky also joining her on the red carpet later on, sporting a baby pink overcoat and tuxedo.

Barry Keoghan Says He Stopped Socialising Because Of Cheating Rumours

Barry Keoghan has finally denied the years-long rumours that he cheated on Sabrina Carpenter during their relationship, saying the speculation made him want to “disappear”.

“I have been avoiding stuff. … I’ve stopped going to events,” Barry said on Tuesday’s episode of the podcast Friends Keep Secrets. “I’ve stopped just socialising, and again, it’s because there was a narrative out there that was never really sort of even spoken on. A narrative that’s not true and I never confirmed or said anything about it and I just disappeared.”

The Irish actor’s admission came after the hosts of Friends Keep Secrets – Benny Blanco, Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco — complimented Barry’s overall vibe.

In response, he thanked them, saying he needed to hear that because the comments on social media have been getting him down.

“There is a lot hatred towards me for just looking like this,” he claimed.

Barry and Benny then shared their respective experiences of being torn up online over their physical appearance, with the latter saying he has tough skin, although the Saltburn actor didn’t seem to share the same feelings.

“Unfortunately, having a relationship in the public eye, it gets put out there and it’s amplified,” Barry explained, clarifying that he was talking about rumours that was that he cheated in a past relationship, seemingly referring to Sabrina.

In late 2024, influencer Breckie Hill raised eyebrows when she reposted a video that speculated she hooked up with Barry while he was dating Sabrina.

The social media star later directly denied those rumours in a video, telling followers she “did not get with” Barry.

Barry said he didn’t address the rumours at the time, because he didn’t want to put Breckie in the public eye.

The Oscar nominee said even though he isn’t logged into his social media accounts, and hasn’t been for some time, he will sometimes snoop on burner accounts.

Barry and Sabrina broke up in December 2024 after dating for a year. Shortly after this, Barry deleted his Instagram account, writing on X that he could “only sit and take so much”.

In August 2025, Sabrina released her Grammy-nominated album Man’s Best Friend, which included tracks many fans believe are about Barry.

Sabrina hasn’t confirmed if any of the songs are about him, telling CBS Mornings ahead of the album release that she didn’t want to confirm or deny the speculation.

“It’s more fun for people to picture the person in their head than the person I picture in my head, I think,” she said.

Barry said on “Friends Keep Secrets” that he doesn’t need people to become his fans, but wants the public to “stop jumping on this narrative” and “dragging” him down.

He then referenced his tough upbringing, including watching his mother deal with substance abuse.

“Why is it cool to hop on and beat someone who has come from a lot?” Barry said. “Someone like myself or kids like myself. To survive stuff I’ve seen as a kid and stuff I’ve seen.

“My mum lay on the ground after fucking injecting herself and shit that I have to fight with every day through a lot of therapy, going through addiction myself, and sobriety and to battle all of that, to then want to drag that person down.”

Victoria Beckham Addresses Family Fall-Out With Son Brooklyn

Victoria Beckham has spoken out for the first time about her family’s estrangement from her eldest son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal in an interview published on Thursday, the former Spice Girls performer was asked about her family’s ongoing public rift with her eldest child.

Without saying Brooklyn’s name, the fashion designer replied: “We love our children so much.”

She continued: “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.

“And, you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”

Victoria and her husband Sir David Beckham share four children – 27-year-old Brooklyn, 23-year-old Romeo, 21-year-old Cruz and 14-year-old Harper.

Back in January, Brooklyn made headlines the world over with a series of candid Instagram stories, in which he accused his parents of “trying to endlessly ruin” his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Brooklyn took aim at his parents for what he called their ongoing attempts to forcefully try to control “narratives in the press about our family”.

He also alleged that his mum “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola during their 2022 wedding ceremony.

“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn wrote at the time.

“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

He added: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

While Sir David has not addressed his son’s comments directly, he did make some well-timed comments during an appearance on Squawk Box in January, the day after Brooklyn’s posts, telling the show’s hosts that “children are allowed to make mistakes”.

“They make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn. So, that’s what I try to teach my kids,” he said. “You have to sometimes let them make those mistakes.”

During the interview, the football icon also spoke about how “dangerous” social media can be.

“I’ve always spoke about social media and the power of social media, for the good and for the bad,” he said.

“The bad, we’ve talked about, what kids can access these days and it can be dangerous. But what I’ve found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.”

Britney Spears Arrested In California

Britney Spears was arrested in California on Wednesday night.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office website, the chart-topping singer was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol at around 9.30pm on Wednesday.

The site does not list a reason for Britney’s arrest, and the …Baby One More Time star was released from custody in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Britney is now due to appear in court on Monday 4 May.

A representative told HuffPost UK: “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.

“Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.”

TMZ pointed out that Britney’s arrest came just hours after she was granted a restraining order against a man from her home state of Louisiana, who her team alleged had been repeatedly showing up at her home in LA and sharing “disturbing social media posts” about her.

It’s been a turbulent few years for Britney, who in 2021 was released from a conservatorship she’d been placed under 13 years earlier.

Britney Spears' conservatorship inspired the so-called Free Britney movement, which gained popularity in the early 2020s

Since then, she has married and subsequently divorced the actor Sam Asghari, released a popular memoir telling her story for the first time, The Woman In Me, and returned to the music scene with the top 10 Elton John collaboration, Hold Me Closer.

However, more recently, she has claimed she has vowed “never” to “return to the music industry”.

Throughout this time, Britney has been keeping fans updated on her life with candid posts on her Instagram, which is currently deactivated.

Last year, she found herself back in the headlines after her ex-husband Kevin Federline made a series of allegations about her as a wife and mother in his own memoir You Thought You Knew.

In a statement, Britney’s spokesperson pointed out that the claims, made in Kevin’s new book, coincided with the Grammy winner no longer having to pay him child support, and accused the former back-up dancer of “profiting off her”.

“All [Britney] cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism,” her representative insisted. “She detailed her journey in her memoir.”

Britney and Kevin are parents to two sons, 20-year-old Sean Preston and 19-year-old Jayden James.

Matthew Lillard Says Quentin Tarantino Jibes Felt Like A ‘Punch In The Mouth’

Matthew Lillard has admitted he had a profound reaction to the support he received after Quentin Tarantino’s recent disparaging comments about him.

Late last year, during an interview on The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, Tarantino said he didn’t “care for” Lillard, as well as taking shots at fellow actors Paul Dano and Owen Wilson.

Talking to People magazine, the Scream actor joked that the outpouring of love he received in the wake of the controversial interview made him feel like he was going to his own funeral.

“It felt like I had died and was in heaven watching everyone send out their RIP tweets,” he explained, adding that the likes of George Clooney and Superman director James Gunn had “been really generous” by sticking up for him and “telling me how much they loved me and liked my work”.

“I mean, it was really nice being a part of your own wake, sort of sitting there living through all the nice things people say after you die,” the Scooby-Doo star quipped.

He admitted that Tarantino’s remarks were especially painful because he had previously been a big fan of the Pulp Fiction director, and would “love” to work with him in the future.

“I think he’s a lovely filmmaker, and to just sort of get punched in the mouth was kind of a bummer,” he admitted.

Lillard first addressed Tarantino’s comments in December during an appearance at GalaxyCon in Ohio.

Reflecting on what had been said, Lillard admitted his feelings had been hurt, and that it “fucking [sucked]” that the One Upon A Time In Hollywood director had aired his negative views.

“You wouldn’t say that to Tom Cruise. You wouldn’t say that to somebody who’s a top-line actor in Hollywood,” he said.

While Paul Dano never commented publicly on Tarantino calling him the “weakest fucking actor in SAG,” he did admit the many comments defending him were “nice”.

“I was also incredibly grateful that the world spoke up for me so I didn’t have to,” Dano told Variety earlier this year.

Last year, Catherine made a guest appearance in the second season of The Last Of Us, playing the therapist of Pedro Pascal’s character Joel, and joined the cast of Seth Rogen’s hit comedy The Studio.

She played studio-head-turned-producer Patty Leigh in the Apple TV+ comedy, earning yet another nomination at both the Emmys and Golden Globes.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Bo Welch, and their sons Matthew and Luke.
