Rylan Clark Says ‘Difficult’ Marriage Breakdown Left Him Feeling ‘Unwell’ After Weight Loss

Rylan Clark has opened up about the breakdown of his six-year marriage, saying the split from his husband Dan Neal left him feeling “unwell”.

The TV presenter revealed his weight plummeted to under ten stone, which led him taking a four month break from the spotlight to focus on his physical and mental health.

The 33-year-old, who is currently going through a divorce from his former policeman husband, told The Sun that the split had been “very difficult”.

He said: “I got ill and I lost weight, I went down to under ten stone — and I’m six feet four inches, so that’s not good.

“The honest truth is that it’s been shit.

“I didn’t deal with what happened and now I am. I felt unwell and it was a very difficult time for me.”

Rylan has credited his mum Linda with being his rock and helping him get through the break up.

“My mum was majorly worried about me, as were all my family,” he said.

“I don’t just disappear for four months — that doesn’t just happen.

“Mum has been a lifesaver to me and one of my biggest regrets of this year was putting my mum through me not being well. I needed to get back to me.”

Rylan says getting fit has “saved” him after he signed up with a personal trainer and started making use of the gym in his home.

“Last year I properly lost myself,” he admitted. “I wanted to get me back and make a better version.”

Rylan’s body transformation isn’t the only physical change he has made.

At the end of last year he also replaced his famous veneers with a set of new teeth.

The TV star announced his decision to ditch his famous teeth after eight years on Twitter.

Miley Cyrus Suffers Major Wardrobe Malfunction When Her Top Falls Off During Live New Year’s Eve Special

Miley Cyrus was queen of the quick change after suffering a wardrobe malfunction during her star-studded New Year’s Eve special in Miami.

The singer was performing her hit Party In The USA when her glittery crop top fell off, leaving her clutching the fabric over her chest.

The 29-year-old was forced to leave the stage in the middle of the song before returning wearing a red blazer in place of the top.

Resuming her singing duties, she ad-libbed the lyrics: “Everybody’s definitely looking at me now.”

In between verses, she told the crowd: “I’m still in the most clothes that I’ve ever worn on stage.”

The special saw Miley team up with SNL comedian Pete Davidson to introduce a selection of live music performances and comedy skits featuring artists including Saweetie, Jack Harlow, and her little sister Noah.

Opening the show, which aired on US network NBC and streaming service Peacock, Cyrus said: “I just had to have Pete with me tonight, he has been my rock this week.

“Yep, Pete Davidson has been my emotional support, which should tell you how crazy this week has been.”

She continued: “This isn’t the New Year party we thought we were going to have or even the one we were planning on last week or just a few hours ago.

“But we’re just trying to think positive… or negative depending on whichever one means you can still taste and smell.

“It’s about to be 2022, which I think is guaranteed to be the best year of the last three.

A highlight of the show was Miley and her sister performing a cover of Dolly Parton’s country hit Jolene.

The special also featured several comedy sketches involving the two hosts.

One saw Miley and Pete secretly reveal to each other backstage that neither were “party monsters”, in spite of their public reputations.

Both admitted to having fake tattoos that they applied each morning, had never taken any recreational drugs and became increasingly more exhausted by having to go live on Instagram.

Kissing your mate on screen can’t be an easy task, but Daniel Radcliffe managed to make it even harder for his Harry Potter co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

The actor has admitted he was “an absolute dick” on set during filming of the scene in Deathly Hallows: Part 2 where Emma’s Hermione and Rupert’s Ron locked lips.

Daniel makes the confession during the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts TV special after Emma recalls the scene being “the most terrifying thing” her and Rupert had ever had to go through.

“It was meant to be this dramatic make out, but [Rupert] and I just kept corpsing and just kept laughing,” Emma explains.

“I was really scared we were never going to get it because we just couldn’t take it seriously.”

Daniel interjects, adding: “I did not make this better because I’ve been told significantly that I was just being an absolute dick about this and was like, ‘I’m gonna come on set and watch [Rupert and Emma] kiss’.”

The celebrities and public figures recognised on the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list for 2022 have been announced.

On New Year’s Eve, the people receiving honours were unveiled on a list dominated by Olympians and big names from the world of TV, film and music.

Among those receiving a damehood in 2022 are actors Joanna Lumley and Vanessa Redgrave.

The Absolutely Fabulous star said she was “astonished, thrilled and touched beyond words” by the news she was being made a dame, with broadcaster Trevor Phillips and film directors John Boorman and Horace Ové receiving a knighthood.

Olympic couple Laura and Jason Kenny will also receive the top honour of a damehood and knighthood, respectively, after breaking yet more records at the Tokyo Olympics over the summer.

Unsurprisingly, Olympic and Paralympic athletes have dominated the honours list for 2022

Other sports personalities named on the list are Emma Raducanu, who will receive an MBE, while Olympians Adam Peaty and Tom Daley are being awarded OBEs.

Seven-time Paralympic champion Hannah Cockroft and Olympic boxer Lauren Price are also set to receive honours

Spice Girls singer Mel B is being awarded an MBE for her work in raising awareness of domestic violence with the charity Women’s Aid, as is TV presenter Kate Garraway, following the success of her documentary about her husband Derek Draper’s ongoing health issues caused by Covid complications.

Diversity leader Ashley Banjo also said he was “humbled and extremely proud” to be receiving an MBE, after fronting the ITV special Britain In Black And White as part of the channel’s Black History Month programming.

Soap legends June Brown and William Roache – who play Dot Cotton and Ken Barlow in EastEnders and Coronation Street, respectively – are being awarded OBEs, joining campaigner Katie Piper and the Oscar and Grammy-winning songwriter Bernie Taupin, best known for his work with Sir Elton John.

The Last Leg comedian Adam Hills joked he was yet to tell his family he had been named on the list because he was “still not convinced someone isn’t playing a prank on me”.

Meanwhile, James Bond star Daniel Craig is being made a CBE, as is the franchise’s producer Barbara Broccoli.

Daniel’s final outing as 007, No Time To Die, achieved huge success in 2021, having previously faced huge delays due to the pandemic.

Also receiving CBEs will be news presenter Moira Stuart and money-saving expert Martin Lewis.
