Netflix Finally Gave Fans A Huge Stranger Things Season 5 Update — Here’s What We Know

Great news for fans of Netflix’s smash hit Stranger Things; the streaming giant has officially shared the release date for the new series of the show, whose last new episode aired in 2022.

They have also shared a poster and much-anticipated “teaser” for the upcoming season.

Here’s everything we know so far:

When will Stranger Things Season 5 come out on Netflix in the UK?

The first four episodes of the season, which Netflix calls “Volume 1”, are set to come out on November 26, 2025.

This will be followed by Volume 2, or episodes 5-7, which launches on Christmas Day (December 25, 2025).

The Finale, or episode 8, will come out on New Year’s Eve (January 1 2026).

“Each volume releases at 5pm PT,” or 1am GMT winter time, Netflix adds.

What’s the new Stranger Things season 5 poster?

The streaming network has described it as a depiction of “one big, ominous threat in Vecna.”

It has been shared on the show’s Instagram with the words “one last adventure” at its top.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads: “Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished – his whereabouts and plans unknown.”

“Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread.

“The final battle is looming – and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone – the full party – standing together, one last time.”
