The Pose star went on to suggest that he “personally changed the game” for men choosing to embrace skirts and dresses as part of their wardrobe.
However, it seems he’s now had something of a change of heart.
Apologising to the former One Direction star during an interview on Stephen Colbert’s US talk show, Billy said: “Harry Styles, I apologise to you for having your name in my mouth.
“It’s not about you. The conversation is not about you. The conversation is actually deeper than that. It is about the systems of oppression and erasure of people of colour who contribute to the culture.”
He added: “I’m sorry, Harry. I didn’t mean no harm. I’m a gay man. We like Harry Styles, he’s cute!”
Alongside his photo-shoot, Harry told Vogue last year that he thought “clothes are there to experiment with”, with the majority of his fans and peers applauding the cover.
There was a distinct lack of enthusiasm for the cover from certain right-wing critics, though.
This included US conservative pundit Candace Owens, whose comment that she wanted to “bring back manly men” inspired a cheeky response from Harry himself.
Kelly Brook has revealed she was “shut down” by Idris Elba after trying to charm him at a party.
Speaking on her Heart radio show, Kelly admitted she’d been “taken aback” when she spotted the Luther star at an event back in 2014, and even ended up impersonating a bartender so she’d have a reason to speak to him.
“I was pretty tipsy, and I saw him, and like most women, was taken aback,” she explained.
“And I went behind the bar and I started pretending I worked there, and asked him if he wanted a drink.”
After going as far as making Idris a cocktail, the former Masked Dancer contestant said she woke up the next morning and slid into the actor’s DMs to try and clarify what happened the night before, joking: “I can’t believe I’m telling this story!”
Idris sent her a polite reply, telling her the cocktail was “awful” but it’s the “thought that counts though, babe”.

Kelly added: “I said, ’Oh gosh, no, really well at least it looked pretty. Nice to meet you, by the way. I have a really bad hangover”.
“He went, ‘Haha! Just have a lie in,’ and that was it. That was the last I heard from him! How embarrassing. I got the message; he shut me down.”
However, this is far from Kelly’s only embarrassing A-list encounter.
“[Madonna] just kind of , she just turned her head away because obviously it went straight up her nose,” Kelly recalled. “It was like something had crawled up there and died.”
Lovely.

Matthew Perry has reportedly signed a seven-figure deal to pen his autobiography.
The Friends star will write an “unflinchingly honest”account of his addiction issues in the as-yet-untitled book, which is set to be published in the autumn of 2022.
The actor, who played Chandler Bing on the US comedy, will take readers “behind-the-scenes” of Friends and will also explore the substance abuse and alcohol issues that have dogged his career, publisher Flatiron Books said.
According to reports in the US, the deal was in the “mid-seven figure range”.

The memoir is “the book that Friends fans have been waiting for but will also shed a powerful light for anyone who is in their own battle for themselves or a loved one”, Flatiron, a division of Macmillan, said.
Megan Lynch, publisher of Flatiron Books, said: “We need humour, we need catharsis, and we need to agree on something – and Matthew’s extraordinary story, told in his inimitable voice, is that thing.
“Matthew’s book has unrivalled potential to bring people together, which feels especially galvanising right now, a time of isolation and division.”
The 52-year-old was one of the best-known and best-paid television stars during the 10-year run of Friends from 1994 but he struggled to overcome addiction.
In 2016, Matthew told the BBC his drug use was so bad he cannot remember roughly three years of his time on Friends, from seasons three to six.
Perry joined his former co-stars for the highly awaited Friends reunion special in May.
The actor got a serious case of the giggles when she appeared on the latest episode of Red Table Talk on Wednesday.
The 49-year-old star buried her head in her hands when host Jada Pinkett Smith got x-rated with a toy paddle and talked about using it to playfully spank someone on the bum.
“A little tap on the fanny never hurt anybody,” Jada said as she pulled out a paddle from the pile.
Clearly blushing, Gwyneth covered her face before being reduced to a fit of giggles.

There was also talk of female orgasms, sensation play, a vulva puppet and a whole host of household items the women could use in the bedroom.
Talk then turned to Gwyneth’s own sex life when Jada brought up how the actor had been “having some of the best sex these days.”
“But I’m a newlywed,” Gwyneth, who married producer Brad Falchuk in 2018, replied. “So it’s cheating, you know, maybe a little bit.”
Last week, during an appearance on Ellen, host Ellen DeGeneres teased Gwyneth by pulling out one of the company’s vibrators.
“Can you show that on TV?” Gwyneth asked, prompting Ellen to wave it quickly one more time.
Ellen asked how Gwyneth’s son Moses, 15, “feels about things like this that you’re selling.”
The proud mother replied that she wanted to tell the host “the sweetest thing”.
She recalled: “A few months ago, he said, ‘Mom, I was really embarrassed for a minute that Goop sold vibrators and then I realised like no, this is great. You’re making people feel not embarrassed to buy something and that’s great. You’re a feminist.’”
The 90-year-old Star Trek star became the oldest person in history to travel into space earlier this month, in a rocket built by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ space travel company, Blue Origin.
During an appearance on this week’s Jonathan Ross Show, Joan, who starred in an episode of Star Trek alongside the Captain Kirk actor, made it clear that she didn’t approve of him leaving the planet.
“It’s amazing, isn’t it? What a fool. Who wants to do that? No, absolutely not. Did you see Bill Shatner?’ Joan told Jonathan.
“He was in the air and they were turning him upside down. Let’s take care of this planet first before we start going off.”

When Jonathan asked fellow guest Brian Cox if he would travel to space, the Succession star agreed with Joan.
“No, absolutely not,” he said. “I think it’s ridiculous. I remember watching [Sir Richard] Branson and Bezos going up for their 11 minutes or whatever…
“No, we do not need more spaceships. We’ve got enough crap flying around up there. We do not need any more.”
“I’m so filled with emotion about what just happened,” the screen legend said. “It’s extraordinary. I hope I never recover from this. I hope I can maintain what I feel now.”
“It has to do with the enormity and the quickness and the suddenness of life and death and the … oh, my God,” he continued, burying his face in his hands.
“The moment you see the vulnerability of everything. It’s so small. This air which is keeping us alive is thinner than your skin. It’s a sliver, it’s immeasurably small when you think in terms of the universe.”

Prince William also recently spoke out against space tourism, saying the wealthy should be “trying to repair this planet, not trying to find the next place to go and live”.
In response, William defended his trip in an interview with Entertainment Today, saying: “He’s a lovely Englishman. He’s going to be king of England one day. He’s a lovely, gentle, educated man, but he’s got the wrong idea.
“The idea here is not to go, ‘Yeah, look at me. I’m in space’. No, I would tell the prince, and I hope the prince gets this message, this is a baby step of getting industry, all those polluting industries…off of Earth.”
The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday at 9.30pm on ITV.
Although rumours had previously surfaced on social media some time ago about Harry’s casting, the apparent confirmation has sent his fans into meltdown…
I can’t believe they invented the marvel cinematic universe just for Harry 😩
There were rumours that Harry Styles would make his debut as ‘Star Fox’ (Thanos’ brother) into MCU in one of the post credit scenes of #Eternals. Keeping it a secret might be one of the reasons why Marvel did not show post credit scenes at the premiere today. #HarryStylespic.twitter.com/4YcrvnHaOy
it’s just scary how harry never talks about anything then next thing he ends up in marvel, we will never know what he’s up to my man’s full of surprises
Eros – who also goes by the name of Starfox – is already familiar to fans of the Marvel comic books.
According to the Marvel Database, the character is a “fun-loving, carefree womanizer” who has “many lovers” and he seeks “out pleasure and recreation on humanoid-inhabited worlds”.
He is also the youngest son of two Eternals, A’Lars and Sui-Lan.
Eternals, directed by Oscar-winner Chloe Zhao, is part of the fourth phase of the MCU, and features immortal aliens who have been secretly living on Earth for thousands of years waiting for the right moment to jump into action.
The cast include Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Kit Harington and Salma Hayek.
Harry has launched a Hollywood career after making his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk in 2017.
Kanye West is making a big change ― where his name is concerned, at least.
On Monday, a Los Angeles judge approved the rapper’s petition to officially change his name to “Ye” without a middle or last name, according to Deadline.

Elizabeth Hurley and Hugh Grant may not be a couple any more, but it seems like the pair still have a very cheeky relationship.
Liz’s son Damian has revealed the nickname the Notting Hill actor has for him and his famous mum.
Hugh is actually godfather to the 19-year-old, and in a profile on Elizabeth in The Sunday Times (£), Damian spoke about his relationship with Hugh.
“My godfather Hugh [Grant] calls us ‘the Monsters’,” Damian said.
“He says we’re like a tornado when we swarm into a room … we look ‘terrifyingly alike and cause mayhem’.”
Damian has regularly made headlines for his similarity to his mother, even sporting a version of Elizabeth’s ‘safety pin dress’ that she wore to the premiere of Four Weddings And A Funeral with Hugh over 25 years ago.

Elsewhere in the interview, Liz said she hopes she always remains friends with ex-boyfriend.
“He’s very happily married,” she told the paper. “I spent some time with him and his wife a few weeks ago at a birthday party. He has five children.
“He’s a great daddy. His career is through-the-roof fantastic at the moment. Best reviews of his life, brilliant offers on the table. We’re good friends and I hope it always stays that way.”

She also revealed that Hugh has been surprised at the way she has changed since they were together from 1987 to 2000.
“I was a recluse for years. I didn’t leave the house unless I was being paid to do so. I couldn’t bear people listening to me, staring at me, watching me. I felt vulnerable and scared the entire time,” she said.
Recalling a more recent time when she and Hugh drove to pick up Damian from school, Elizabeth continued: “On the way I stopped the car and said, ‘I’m getting a coffee.’ When I got back, he said, ‘You went out to a shop? I’ve never seen you do that ever.’ I told him I now go to my local Waitrose. He was like, ‘You go to a supermarket?’ It’s normal for me now.
“I don’t know if I’d go to Waitrose on the Kings Road, I think I’d start sweating, but Boots on Fulham Road? Maybe.”
The Grammy-winning musician shocked her fans on Saturday night when she suddenly went live on her official Instagram page, with more than 100,000 people tuning in to watch her answering fans’ questions.
Adele being Adele, the live-stream was a total scream, not least because of the star’s struggles with technology and difficulties answering certain questions from her followers (sample quote: “what’s my body count? What does that mean?”).
One of our favourite ridiculous moments from the stream, that’s since gone viral on Twitter, came when a fan asked Adele whether she was “gonna collab with Peppa Pig”, prompting an incredulous “no!!” from the Someone Like You singer.
The clip later sparked a reaction from the official Peppa Pig Twitter account, responding with a popular meme featuring the children’s TV character:
And by the way, if anyone’s wondering what an Adele x Peppa Pig collab might sound like, thanks to presenter James Barr, you need wonder no more…
Jamie replied: “Lovely! I have been an advocate for natural beauty for a long time, mostly because I’ve had the trial and error of the other part.
“I did plastic surgery – it didn’t work. I hated it. It made me feel worse.”

The Halloween star continued: “I tried to do everything you can do to your hair. Personally, I felt it was humiliating. I would go into a hair salon, the smell of the chemicals, the feeling of that colour on my hair, sitting under the hairdryer – it was like, for what?
“So very early on in my career, I had a perm and then had to dye my hair for a movie, and it burned my hair off my head!
“And the first time I cut my hair short I went, ‘Oh! Oh my god. Oh wow! I look like me!’. Since then I stopped dyeing it, and then I’ve been an advocate for not fucking with your face.”
She added: “And the term, anti-ageing… what? What are you talking about? We’re all going to fucking age! We’re all going to die. Why do you want to look 17 when you’re 70? I want to look 70 when I’m 70.”
