Katie Price Arrested On Suspicion Of Breaching Restraining Order

Katie Price could face jail after she was arrested on suspicion of breaching a restraining order.

Police were called to the Sussex home of the former glamour model, who was known professionally as Jordan, on Friday.

The Sun reported Price, 43, had sent an abusive message to her ex-husband Kieran Hayler and his fiancee, Michelle Penticost.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “At 5.45pm on Friday (January 21) police responded to a report that a suspect had breached their restraining order.

“Officers arrested a woman in her 40s who has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.”

Price was banned from contacting Penticost in 2019 under the terms of a five-year restraining order.

She was fined hundreds of pounds for hurling a foul-mouthed “tirade of abuse” at her during a row in a school playground.

She was driving to visit a nearby friend in Sussex when the crash happened at about 6.20am on September 28.

Her representative has been contacted for comment.

Police Won’t Appeal Against Katie Price’s Suspended Drink-Drive Sentence, Confirm ‘Disappointed’ Cops

Police have confirmed they are unable to appeal against Katie Price’s suspended sentence for drink-driving following a crash near her home.

The TV personality avoided jail time last month when she was handed a 16-week suspended sentence for the driving offence while being disqualified and not having insurance.

While a judge said she was unable to send Price to prison because she had complied with requirements of the court, including attending a rehabilitation centre and not to commit further offences, Sussex Police said they were looking at whether the sentence could be subject to appeal.

However, it has now emerged that it will not be appealed, with the police describing the result as “disappointing”.

A spokesperson told Metro: “Following a detailed review by Sussex Police, it was concluded that there are no legal grounds for Sussex Police to appeal the sentence imposed.

“This is disappointing. We remain absolutely committed to pursuing and preventing irresponsible driving behaviour which puts the safety of everyone on our roads at risk.”

Superintendent James Collis, head of roads policing for Sussex Police and Surrey Police previously said that Price was “extremely lucky not to be spending Christmas behind bars”.

“Given the circumstances and her history of motoring offences, it’s clear she did not consider the risk of her actions to the wider public or the implications for her own family,” he added.

Price was involved in the collision on September 28 while she driving to visit a nearby friend.

The court also heard at the time that Price had told police after the crash: “I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all.”

Following sentencing last month, Price said she was “incredibly sorry” for her actions, saying: “I’m sincerely grateful nobody was hurt – I realise the damage my actions could have caused not only to another family, but to my own as well.”

“I’m now spending time getting better — mental health is a hidden illness and can strike at any time.

“The triggers that cause my anxiety and behaviour are something I’m trying to understand, come to terms with, and learn to control moving forward.”

Katie Price Speaks Out After Avoiding Jail In Drink-Driving Case: ‘It’s Been A Really Difficult Time’

Katie Price has said she is “incredibly sorry” for her actions after avoiding a prison sentence for drink-driving.

The reality star was handed a 16-week suspended sentence on Wednesday after a car crash near her home earlier this year, which happened when she was banned from driving and did not have insurance.

District Judge Amanda Kelly at Crawley Magistrates’ Court said she was unable to send Katie to prison because she had complied with the requirements of the court, including attending a rehabilitation centre and not committing further offences.

However, she added that Katie did “deserve” to “spend Christmas behind bars”.

Following her court appearance, Katie posted a statement on her Instagram story on Thursday, where she said she was “sincerely grateful nobody was hurt”.

She said: “It’s been a really difficult time and I’m incredibly sorry for my actions – I’m sincerely grateful nobody was hurt – I realise the damage my actions could have caused not only to another family, but to my own as well.

“I’m now spending time getting better — mental health is a hidden illness and can strike at any time.

“The triggers that cause my anxiety and behaviour are something I’m trying to understand, come to terms with, and learn to control moving forward.

“This will be a long process for myself and something I’ll continue to work on for the rest of my life. It’s also something I can work on with my family so we can progress on a new chapter together.”

She added: “Thank you for all the messages of goodwill that I’ve received. I’m going to surround myself with my loving family and friends and continue doing the work I love as it brings me enjoyment and helps my mental health.”

Superintendent James Collis, head of roads policing for Sussex Police and Surrey Police, said officers are looking at whether it could be subject to appeal.

He said the sentencing, “as the judge explained, could have and should have been much worse and, in our view, Price is extremely lucky not to be spending Christmas behind bars”.

“Given the circumstances and her history of motoring offences, it’s clear she did not consider the risk of her actions to the wider public or the implications for her own family,” he added.

“We are now exploring whether we can appeal this sentence.”

Katie Price Receives Suspended Prison Sentence For Drink-Driving Offences

Katie Price has been given a suspended sentence and ordered to undergo 100 hours of community service for drink-driving offences.

Back in September, Katie was charged with driving while unfit to drive through drink, using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance and driving while disqualified after overturning her car in a collision near her home.

The court also heard at the time that the former glamour model and reality star had told police after the crash: “I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all.”

Katie’s sentencing was subsequently adjourned on the condition that she have treatment at the Priory Centre, not commit any further offences, and be banned from driving in the interim.

Appearing in court on Wednesday afternoon, the star was given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. She was also ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid community service.

Her driving ban was also extended for an additional two years.

The district judge told Katie at Crawley Magistrates’ Court: “When you chose to get behind the wheel that night you showed no concern for others. You could have killed somebody.

“Your actions meant the emergency services had to use up their precious time. You knowingly and deliberately flouted a court order and not for the first time.

“You seem to think you are above the law.”

Following Katie’s car accident, her concerned family issued a statement saying: “We have for some time been concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and overall mental health. Today our worst fears nearly came true. As a family, we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs.

“We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone.”

They added: “We are concerned and worried about her deeply, we know she lives her life publicly and to many she is fair game, but as a family we hope she can find her path privately moving forward during this very difficult period in her life.

“We are not asking for sympathy – just that it is recognised that Kate is unwell.”

Last month, the former I’m A Celebrity contestant publicly thanked her familyas well as her fiancé Carl Woods – for “always having my back” amid her latest personal struggles.

According to The Sun, this was done to allow the police more time to continue their investigation and decide how it would be best to proceed.

Katie previously told the tabloid the day after the alleged incident: “I’ve got a big bruise, my face is all puffy, and I went to hospital. I’m still all dazed. I’m devastated. I’ve told police that I was assaulted, and am in shock that this happened.”

The Celebrity Big Brother winner’s fiancé, car dealer and former Love Island contestant Carl Woods, subsequently insisted that he has “never and never would do anything to hurt Katie”.

“I have remained quiet until now due to the investigation being carried out by the police,” he wrote on Instagram. “However, I have found it so difficult to keep quiet on social media due to the speculation and shocking abuse that I have received.

“Anybody who thinks I hit Katie, you’re completely delusional and have no idea of the reality of the situation

Following this, Katie insisted that she and Carl are still together.

Katie Price Sets The Record Straight Amid Reports Of Split From Fiancé Carl Woods

Katie Price has shut down media speculation about her relationship with fiancé Carl Woods.

Over the weekend, The Sun published an article claiming that the reality star had been overheard at the National Television Awards saying she’d ended things with Carl.

However, posting on her Instagram story on Sunday, Katie insisted that this was not the case.

Alongside a screenshot of the tabloid’s headline “Katie Price dumped fiancé Carl Woods and went on booze bender at the NTAs”, she wrote: “It’s such a shame having such a good night these awful stories about me coming out.”

“In fact, I never went out and said I’ve dumped Carl,” Katie continued. “This is not true, I was actually proud to be with my son Harvey. I wish people would leave me [and] Carl alone.”

Earlier that week, Carl spoke out to insist that he had never hit Katie, after a man was arrested for physically assaulting her the previous month.

Back in September, the former glamour model was taken to hospital with facial injuries after an alleged physical assault.

A “short time later”, a 32-year-old man was arrested “on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour”. The man was later released on bail.

Dismissing rumours about the incident, Carl insisted: “I have remained quiet until now due to the investigation being carried out by the police. However, I have found it so difficult to keep quiet on social media due to the speculation and shocking abuse that I have received.

“Anybody who thinks I hit Katie, you’re completely delusional and have no idea of the reality of the situation. I have never and never would do anything to hurt Katie. The truth will be told.”

Katie is mother to five children, from previous relationships with footballer Dwight Yorke and her ex-husbands Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler.

She and Carl, a car dealer and former Love Island participant, announced their engagement in April 2021, after just under a year of dating.

Katie Price’s ‘Track A Troll’ Petition Is Getting Some Kick-Back. Here’s Why

LGBTQ+ people and human rights advocates are concerned a petition launched by Katie Price to end online anonymity may put vulnerable people’s lives at risk.

Price launched the petition alongside Conservative MP Andrew Griffith to call for action to be taken against online trolls, who have abused Price’s 18-year-old son Harvey.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Price wrote: “No troll should retain the right to hide behind their abusive malicious posts. I will not stop until every stone is unturned and all those are exposed and held accountable for their actions. This affects everyone in society including our children, Mother, Brother, Sister, family and friends alike, together we are all united in this petition. #TrackATroll.

As it stands, there are more than 140,000 signatories. Price’s petition asks for it to be made “a legal requirement, when opening a new social media account, to provide a verified form of ID. Where the account belongs to a person under the age of 18, verify the account with the ID of a parent/guardian, to prevent anonymised harmful activity, providing traceability if an offence occurs.”

However, it has prompted communities to speak out about why online anonymity is essential for some people, such as marginalised queer groups, who use platforms like Twitter and Instagram to find solidarity and community.

Since Price launched the campaign on March 10, the hashtag #SaveAnonymity has been widely shared on social media. Many individuals using the hashtag to express their concerns are doing so from anonymous accounts.

One post, which has more than 10,000 retweets, reads: “I’m practically begging you to RT – those under 18 in the UK will have to get their parents to verify their accounts with full ID. This will put so many teens in danger (LGBTQ+ youth, abuse victims, etc.)”

Another reads: “Please tweet the hashtag #SaveAnonymity! A petition is going to UK Parliament that would require everybody on the internet to provide full ID before making an account, and minors would have to use parents’ ID.”

It continued: “If this law gets passed, LGBT kids would be outed, people in dangerous situations lose opportunity to reach out for help anonymously, etc, so please, don’t just tweet the hashtag and nothing else (this would be counted as spam), include other words too.”

One person wrote that they were “ terrified” at the prospect of the proposal getting passed, while another tweeted: “My parents would kick me out for my preferred pronouns. Social media is my escape from homophobic family and school. Please don’t let them take it away from me and many others.”

The Open Rights Group, which promotes human rights online and has 44k followers, is also standing against Price’s campaign. Speaking to HuffPost UK, a spokesperson said: “Attacking anonymity is a short cut to making some LGBTQ people’s lives very difficult, among others.”

In a statement on Twitter, the ORG commented: “We stand with #SaveAnonymity – it is great to see young people stand up for the rights of #LGBTQ people to be anonymous online. This is how rights are defended and won – people standing up for their rights.”

In January, the Open Rights Group responded to the Lords Communications Committee enquiry into freedom of information online, claiming digital regulation is limiting freedom of expression.

Referencing the ongoing debate about online anonymity, the group said: “Psuedonymity is vital for marginalised individuals such as members of the LGBTQ community seeking to explore their identity safely without identifying themselves to everyone they know.”

Other voices expressing concern about Price’s campaign include Rob McDowall, rapporteur for Equality and Human Rights Scotland and chair of Welfare Scotland, who tweeted that he “absolutely could not” support the campaign, which would “put so many in danger especially LGBT+ people who aren’t out.”

McDowall also endorsed another tweet suggesting it should be platforms such as Twitter and Facebook that should be held accountable for any abuse posted.

Cyberbullying has risen under lockdown, according to the Office of National Statistics, whose recent data showed one in five schoolchildren had been at the receiving end of online bullying over the past year.

Price’s campaign to #TrackATroll has garnered backing from charities including Mencap, and charity founder Anna Kennedy OBE, who appointed Harvey one of her charity’s ambassadors.

Clarifying details of the petition on Monday, Katie Price told Victoria Derbyshire: “When we say ID, I could be called Princess Price on something when my name is Katie Price – it’s just a way of contact so you can be contacted. As long as you can be tracked. And if people don’t want to do that then they could be guilty of something.”

In response to the criticism of the campaign, a representative for Katie Price told HuffPost UK: “No one is being outed, or required to provide personal information – a trackable IP address is not asking for private data – only an address to the IP registrar; a registrar of IP address that is held on a data base by a governing body.

“This is yet all to be negotiated. In the instance [that] a complaint is raised, the IP can be tracked to an address and subsequently the source. Katie would not expose anyone other than trolls and those guilty of malicious online content who’s purpose is to directly harm and cause mental upset.”

Responding to Price’s rep, the Open Rights Group spokesperson added: “If [Katie Price’s] plan really is limited to keeping IP records, as her representatives say, then this already exists. The problems here are about enforcement of platform’s rules, of police being unwilling to act.

“We remain worried that calls to remove ‘anonymity’ would be used to justify removing or limiting anonymity and making social media much less safe for LGBT people – and others who wish to remain anonymous or unknown to their work colleagues, social circles of families for instance, from fear of abuse.”

Katie Price’s Reaction To Drag Race UK Star’s Impression Of Her Is Gloriously Katie Price

Bimini Bon Boulash’s performance as Katie Price has been one of the undoubted highlights of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK so far, and now we’ve finally got to hear what the woman herself makes of it all.

Katie has uploaded a YouTube video of herself reacting to the queen’s impression of her during the Snatch Game episode last month, and the whole thing is gloriously Pricey.

In the video, Katie is seen sat in front of her laptop with daughter Bunny and son Jett as they watch Bimini’s Bafta-approved performance on the hit BBC Three series.

She then tries to get Bunny and Jett to do impressions of her, repeating her famous catchphrase, “Never underestimate the Pricey.”

And it turns out her six-year-old daughter has got her mum down to a tee as well, perfectly capturing her KP’s mannerisms.

Katie then says of Bimini: “I think that was fantastic. And [Bimini] is right, I can take the piss out of myself and I do. But I think [they have] done a good job. I’d love to go on that show.

“Like you say, if you can’t take the piss out of yourself, who can you take the piss out of? So I think that’s really good, and it’s quite iconic to know that someone wanted to dress up as me.

“I’d love to meet them and do a dress up, [them] do me and me give [them] tips and stuff. So thank you so much, I loved it, loved it, loved it.”

Bunny then interjects, saying: “Guys, if mum was on the show, I know who she’d dress up as,” before naming Katie’s boyfriend Carl Woods

“That could be interesting, a woman dressing up as a man,” Katie agrees, before Bunny starts impersonating them both.

“Are you taking the mick? Right you’re getting in the bath,” she teases.

Bimini was made up to see Katie’s video, sharing a link to it on Twitter.

“Ahhhh I love you @KatiePrice!!!!” they tweeted.

After the show aired, Bimini was sure to reiterate that the impression was done with a lot of love.

They tweeted: “I also ADORE AND LOVE @KatiePrice and I always have. She’s an absolute icon and I hope I did her proud.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race continues on Thursday, with the new episode available to stream on BBC Three from 7pm.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK: Bimini Bon Boulash’s Katie Price Impression Was So Good Even Bafta Has Endorsed It

We were left “clapping for the UK Hun” Bimini Bon Boulash after the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, and it seems we were not the only ones bowled over by her Katie Price impression on Snatch Game.

In fact, so good was her send up of Pricey that Bafta has officially endorsed it.

The latest episode of the hit BBC Three reality show saw the remaining queens tasked with impersonating a host of celebrities in the iconic Snatch Game challenge.

After the show debuted on Thursday night, the meme account Love Of Huns posted a clip of Bimini’s performance on Instagram, along with the caption: “Bimini’s Katie Price is truly BAFTA worthy.”

It soon caught the attention of the official Bafta account, who very much agreed, commenting with a trophy emoji.

With the TV Baftas scheduled to happen later in the year, we’re on tenterhooks to find out if Bimini bags a nomination.

Drag Race fans are still waiting to hear what the woman herself thought of the performance, as Katie is yet to comment.

However, after the show aired, Bimini was sure to reiterate that her impression was done with a lot of love.

She tweeted: “I also ADORE AND LOVE @KatiePrice and I always have. She’s an absolute icon and I hope I did her proud.”

The internet was lapping up Bimini’s Snatch Game, and she was trending on Twitter thanks to all the praise she was receiving.

And while Ellie Diamond didn’t receive a top placing from the judges after taking off Matt LucasLittle Britain character Vicky Pollard, the comedian was apparently very impressed.

He tweeted: “Thank you @elliediamond101 for smashing Vicky Pollard! I’m flattered, humbled and still laughing xxx.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race continues next Thursday, with the new episode available to stream on BBC Three from 7pm.
