Hugh Grant Gets Very Graphic About Accidentally Giving His Family Food Poisoning (Twice)

Hugh Grant has admitted his foray into cooking hasn’t been entirely successful.

The British actor recently interviewed his Bridget Jones co-star Renée Zellweger for a feature in British Vogue, during which she was left stunned by the news that he’d recently started cooking for himself and his family.

“Do you know I’ve started cooking for the first time in 64 years,” he shared, to which Renée responded: “What, toast?”

He revealed: “I can’t stop barbecuing. Can’t stop buying barbecue equipment. And now that it’s winter, I’ve moved indoors and I can’t stop buying Le Creuset.”

Unfortunately, he then disclosed that he’s “poisoned my family twice” by “[giving] them worms” as a result of “undercooked chicken”.

“It was dark, you see,” Hugh explained. “It was on the barbecue and I stuck my Heston Blumenthal prod into it. I couldn’t quite read it. So I served it out – worms all round.

“And the children now beg me not to cook.”

This isn’t the first time Hugh has lifted the lid on his family life, since becoming a father in his 50s.

Back in 2021, he opened up about how his children had to be home-schooled during the pandemic, recalling how his son had “stabbed himself in the face with a Biro” after one particular frustrating incident.

More recently, he told the SmartLess podcast that fatherhood had changed him from “a “dried-up, middle-aged, golf-addicted Englishman” to someone with “heart” and “more layers or something”.

During a different interview on Kelly Clarkson’s US talk show, the Since U Been Gone singer questioned the Heretic star about whether he is a “jungle gym dad” who has kids “crawling all over” him, prompting a surprisingly sincere response.

He said with a smile: “I love a bit of that, yeah. I mean, there’s a lot to dread [about fatherhood], because I’m old and it’s noisy and it’s unbearable and I do a lot of hiding in the loo. I do a lot of sleeping in there now! There’s a lock, but they’ve pretty much broken it now… but it is nice.”

“I’m going home tonight, and let’s face it, the bit where they jump in your arms, the six-year-old, you know. She calls it her chimpanzee hug. I quite like that,” he added.

This Renée Zellweger Oscars Wardrobe Malfunction Could Have Been Lifted From Bridget Jones

During the chat, Renée was shown a photo from the 2005 Oscars, a year after her first win, where she presented the award for Best Supporting Actor to Morgan Freeman.

Looking at a photo of her red carpet ensemble, the two-time Oscar winner revealed that her night at that year’s ceremony involved a comedy of errors that could have been lifted straight from a Bridget Jones movie.

“As we were leaving that night, a gentleman stepped on the train [of my dress], and I kept walking in the other direction, and it ripped it right off my dress, from right beneath my booty,” she recalled with a laugh.

Renée continued: “There were parties and things afterwards, but I needed to go home and do a little bit of a costume change.”

Unfortunately, when she got there, she realised she’d come to the Oscars without taking her house key with her, leaving her “climbing up the balcony to the second floor” so she could enter through a bathroom window – all while still wearing her ruined dress “with a hole under my booty”.

Graham Norton Reveals Surprising Origin Story Of The Iconic ‘Big Red Chair’

There are a few things Graham Norton’s BBC talk show has become synonymous with in the last 18 years – namely its eclectic mix of guests on the sofa, the host’s (often cutting) opening monologues, unpredictable audience interactions and, of course, the “big red chair”.

At the end of each episode, Graham invites members of the studio audience to tell different stories from their lives in a cosy-looking armchair, only to tip them out with the aid of a lever once they start to bore him.

But what might surprise you to hear is that the “big red chair” was never intended to be a permanent fixture.

In fact, Graham told Seth Meyers during a recent episode of his US talk show that the whole thing “happened by accident”.

The “big red chair” segment was actually intended as a one-off for when Ronnie Corbett was a guest during the fifth season back in 2009 (the late comedian was known for sharing anecdotes and jokes from his own armchair as part of the Two Ronnies sketch show).

“A couple of weeks later we got a call from our line producer going, ‘you know that chair you had built? Turns out, that was quite expensive! So if you could use it again…’,” Graham recalled.

“So it must be about 12 years now, and we use it every week.”

The Irish presenter also shared one behind-the-scenes tidbit about the “red chair”, when Seth pointed out how much he loves watching audience’s members legs fly up when they’re tipped backwards.

He enthused: “They flip straight back, and it’s like they have puppet legs! It’s so delightful.”

Graham then revealed: “You are such a television professional, because we brief them to throw their legs up!”

Robbie Williams Addresses Claims He Turned Down An Offer To Perform At King Charles’ Coronation

Robbie Williams has spoken out about rumours that he turned down the chance to perform at King Charles′ coronation.

Back in 2023, it was widely reported that Buckingham Palace was struggling to book acts to perform at a celebration event for the monarch for a variety of reasons.

At the time, it was claimed that Robbie was among those to have declined an offer to perform, which he was asked about during an interview on Watch What Happens Live on Monday.

“There was a reason,” Robbie insisted, with his wife Ayda Field reminding him from the sidelines that he was already “working” on the day of the coronation concert. “I [already had] something [booked] that I couldn’t turn down.”

“Because of money,” the always-candid Angels singer then added.

Around the time of the coronation concert, it was reported by The Sun that Sir Elton John and Harry Styles had been top picks to perform, but both turned down the offer due to scheduling conflicts.

Prior to this, it had been rumoured that Adele had also declined the chance to perform at the coronation due to her then-ongoing residency in Las Vegas, with Ed Sheeran also supposedly missing out due to prior commitments.

However, the Shape Of You singer later claimed this was not the case, with his rep claiming he’d actually not been approached about performing.

Meanwhile, the Spice Girls were tipped to reunite as a five-piece for the royal event, but this did not end up coming to fruition.

Instead, the concert featured performances from British stars like Olly Murs, Paloma Faith and Take That, while Katy Perry and Lionel Richie flew in from the US.

Katy and Lionel’s performances coincided with an unexpected cameo from King Charles and his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles on American Idol that same night, which raised eyebrows at the time.

We Can’t Stop Watching This Iconic Clip Of Linda From The Traitors In Her Opera Singing Days

Let’s just say it, we all know by now that Linda is the true queen of this year’s series of The Traitors.

Admittedly, her performance as a Faithful isn’t exactly convincing (truth be told, the fact she’s managed to remain unbanished every single day defies logic), but her theatrics and line deliveries have given us some of the season’s most iconic and quotable moments.

Before joining the latest cast of The Traitors, Linda had a whole other career as an opera singer (which might well explain why she has a flair for the dramatic when things are going on in the castle) and we’re happy to report that one fan has managed to dig up one of her old performances from back in the early 1980s.

The clip has already received more than half a million views on TikTok, of which we reckon we’re probably responsible for about a hundred thousand…

All we can say is… enjoy.

The most recent instalment of the Bafta-winning reality show ended on a massive cliffhanger, after Linda and fellow Traitor Minah picked four members of the Faithful group to go head-to-head in a “death game”.

While Anna and Alexander managed to come out on top, the episode ended with one hand left to go, with either Fozia or Leon set to be “murdered” when The Traitors returns later this week.

However, one viewer pointed out that Linda may have once again put herself in the firing line for banishment, thanks to her distinctive penmanship.

The Traitors continues on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night at 9pm on BBC One.

The Masked Singer Host Joel Dommett Teases Show’s First Ever Celeb Walk-Off

The Masked Singer viewers are apparently in for something new during this weekend’s show.

According to The Sun, Saturday night’s instalment of the ITV singing competition will see the first ever celebrity contestant storm off when they don’t take too kindly to being eliminated so early on in the series.

In the first ever diva strop of its kind for The Masked Singer, the unidentified character apparently throws a strop and walks off stage, eventually having to be coaxed back on to reveal their identity on camera.

An audience member reportedly described the scene as “absolutely bonkers”, recalling: “Usually the celeb with the lowest votes takes off their mask and then chats to the panel and sings again. But instead this character turned around and shuffled off stage, which was hilarious in their costume obviously — but we were all stunned.”

ITV declined to comment when contacted by HuffPost UK, but host Joel Dommett confirmed the incident took place during an interview with Principle magazine published last weeK.

“That is gonna be my favourite reveal forever, I think,” he said. “One of the characters gets voted off and they are really not happy about it. Like genuinely.”

Joel continued: “They were really upset that they did not win it. There’s something hilarious about seeing someone in a massive costume storm off.

“What they’re gonna show of it, I have no idea. But even if they don’t show it, I know, and that’s amazing.”

So far this series has seen daytime star Kate Garraway and Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith being unmasked.

The identities of the remaining contestants are still being kept firmly under wraps, with fan theories suggesting that comedian Harry Hill, Grammy winner Macy Gray and Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow are among the concealed stars still in the competition.

The Masked Singer continues on Saturday night at 7pm on ITV1.

Good Morning Britain Sparks Hundreds Of Ofcom Complaints After Adil Ray Body-Shaming Claims

A recent episode of Good Morning Britain has led viewers to make hundreds of complaints to Ofcom.

Last week, GMB anchor Adil Ray raised eyebrows with a series of comments he made about teenage darts champion Luke Littler.

“I have to say – and this might not be very popular – I’m a little bit worried about Luke,” Adil said. “He’s 17 and he’s turning into the look of a darts player. He is, though.

“If I were his mum and dad… I mean, he’s sort of – look at him!”

Adil continued: “He’s admitted he has pizzas before a match and sits there playing computer games. I just think I’d be a bit worried.”

“But he’s so successful,” co-host Kate Garraway responded, to which Adil said: “I know! But he’s going to get more successful and he’s going to keep on doing it. I just worry I don’t want him to get too unhealthy.”

Adil’s remarks were met with an immediate backlash and accusations of body-shaming the 17-year-old, which have now been followed by complaints to Ofcom.

The Sun reported on Wednesday that the media regulator has received 311 complaints in total, which will be assessed by the watchdog before they determine whether to take the matter further, as is standard procedure.

HuffPost UK has contacted ITV for comment.

Adil is one of a host of rotating guest hosts who have been presenting Good Morning Britain since Piers Morgan’s infamous departure in 2021.

Former Labour MP Ed Balls, daytime star Richard Madeley and Judge Rinder are also on the team of current GMB hosts who sit alongside permanent anchors Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway.

GMB staple Ben Shephard also parted ways with the show just over a year ago to become the new permanent co-host of This Morning alongside Cat Deeley.

Good Morning Britain airs every weekday from 6am on ITV1.

Hugh Grant Names The 1 Film Of His That His Wife Is ‘Banned’ From Watching

Hugh Grant has admitted there’s one film from his oeuvre that he’s in no rush to revisit.

During a recent interview with Variety, the Bafta winner reflected on some of the romantic comedies that helped make him a global star – including one that still has a special place in his heart, despite its not-so-glowing reviews.

However, the British actor also made it clear that he’s not quite so nostalgic for all of his past work.

When the interviewer praised the 1995 movie Nine Months, Hugh apparently screamed “as if startled”, stating: “Let me stress, everyone involved with that film, with the exception of me, was brilliant and talented. It was just me that let it down.”

Nine Months told the story of a couple expecting their first child, and featured an all-star cast that also included Julianne Moore, Jeff Goldblum, Joan Cusack and Robin Williams.

Hugh added: “My wife wants to watch it, but I’ve forbidden her. I’ve put parental controls on the screen so that you can’t get it.”

Back in 2023, Hugh joked during an appearance on The Late, Late Show that he would “happily shred my IMDb page” because he “specialised in being bad for decades”.

Asked to specifically name one film he would make disappear if possible, the Heretic star answered with 1988’s The Lady And The Highwayman, describing it as “low-budget, bad wig, bad hat”.

While Hugh is known for being self-deprecating about his work, he also made it clear during his interview with Variety that if people heard him slating his experience on one of his most recent movies in particular, it was all intended in good humour.

“On the web, it’s become a fact that I hated making that film,” Hugh lamented. “And I didn’t hate it all; I loved making it. I’m absolutely thrilled with it.”

He continued: “That’s what the internet does. It scrubs humour, and it scrubs context to create little clickbait moments. It’s one of the reasons I loathe it with such violence, really.”

Fans Defend Demi Moore After Awkward Golden Globes Moment With Kylie Jenner

Demi Moore’s daughter is not going to let the online gossip mill steal her mom’s shine.

On Sunday, after the Substance star won her first major acting award at the 82nd Golden Globes, footage began bubbling up on social media that ― according to some ― depicted Demi snubbing fellow guest Kylie Jenner at the ceremony.

In the video, which was originally posted on the Golden Globes’ official TikTok account, an elated Demi could be seen hugging actor Elle Fanning, who is sitting next to Kylie.

Demi began to talk excitedly with Elle, as Kylie looked on. At one point, Kylie appeared to congratulate Demi, which she briefly acknowledged before turning back to Elle to continue their conversation.

Following this, Demi noticed Kylie’s boyfriend, actor Timothée Chalamet, greeting him warmly and beginning talking to him, essentially passing Kylie over in the process.

Another video posted to X, formerly Twitter, shows the exchange between Timothée and Demi from a slightly different angle.

You can see the Kylie Cosmetics founder nervously playing with her hair and excitedly clutching her phone — perhaps in anticipation of getting a selfie with Demi — but eventually looking down in apparent defeat as the Ghost actor walks away.

Some social media users were outraged by the maybe-snub, while others delighted in it:

Demi Moore ignoring Kylie Jenner on purpose is simply manerless. You’re in a public social setting. Direct cut, skipping someone on purpose to prove your disdain proves much more of Demi than of Kylie. Clasless and crass. You’re in a gown and behave like a clown.

But after the video went viral, Demi’s youngest daughter, Tallulah Willis, wasn’t about to let this narrative overshadow her mom’s achievement, and lovingly defended her in an Instagram Story.

In Tallulah’s post, she shared a screenshot of a social media post by the outlet Too Fab, with the caption: “Did Demi Moore snub Kylie Jenner? That’s what some are saying after THIS seeing this video.”

Accompanying the screenshot, Tallulah wrote in overlaying text that she was “nipping” this whole story “straight in the bud”.

“We spent new year with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do, this angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well wishers,” she wrote of her mother.

“There was not snub of any sort, had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her she would have fully given her the time and space,” Willis added. “Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!”

For what it’s worth, plenty of social media users didn’t interpret the encounter as Demi being deliberately rude to Kylie either:

Adam Brody Quietly Shows His Adoration For Wife Leighton Meester With 1 Simple Act

Adam Brody proved chivalry isn’t dead during a sweet moment with his wife, Leighton Meester, on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday night.

In a TikTok video shared by the French magazine Gala, the two actors can be seen approaching photographers on the carpet when the Gossip Girl alum suddenly stops and stands to the side as her husband takes his mark to pose solo.

The move could be interpreted as a supportive one being that it was technically Adam’s night – he had been nominated for an award for his role in the Netflix comedy Nobody Wants This.

However, the O.C. alum clearly wanted to share the moment with his wife and gestured for her to join him.

She then trotted over, wrapped her arm around Adam and stroked his back affectionately. After a couple of photos were snapped of the pair, Leighton went off to the side again to let her husband have his moment alone.

When the clip made its way to X – formerly called Twitter – fans of the couple were completely smitten.

Adam and Leighton tied the knot in 2014 after meeting on the set of the movie The Oranges three years earlier.

Since then, they have welcomed two children, nine-year-old Arlo and a four-year-old son, whose name has not yet been shared publicly.

Although the couple is relatively private, Adam did open up on Today in September about how he and Leighton make their marriage work.

“Pick someone good,” the actor said of his wife. “Be lucky and be in love with someone who’s great and then just kind of listen to them.”

He continued: “If you’re with someone great, you’re on third base. Not that it doesn’t take sacrifice and humility, and you have to grow together, and you have to be willing to grow, because you’re not going to be able to stay 100% right where you are.

“But if you’re with someone wonderful, I think you’re on third [base].”
