Katy Perry Alludes To Justin Trudeau Romance Rumours During London Concert

Katy Perry appeared to be alluding to her rumoured romance with former Canadian leader Justin Trudeau with a comment she made on stage on Monday night.

The Grammy-nominated singer is currently in the UK as part of her ongoing Lifetimes Tour, which most recently made a stop in London for a show at The O2 Arena.

During the show, she told the British crowd that she was impressed with their energy, enthusing: “You’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?”

“No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time,” she quipped, referring to her past relationships with Russell Brand and Orlando Bloom.

“But not anymore,” she then added, in an apparent nod to Trudeau.

She and the ex-prime minister first found themselves at the centre of dating rumours when TMZ published pictures of the unlikely duo out for dinner together at a restaurant in Montreal.

The US gossip site claimed at the time that the two had been seen “sipping cocktails” and “sharing several dishes”, while security monitored them from a table close by.

Days later, he was then photographed at the barrier during Katy’s show in Montreal, Canada, on the fifth of the six Canadian stops on her ongoing world tour, and they’ve more recently been sighted kissing and embracing while on board a yacht off the coast of California.

The pair were first rumoured to be dating just weeks after Katy and her ex-fiancé Orlando confirmed they had parted ways after around a decade together.

At the time, the former couple insisted they would remain friends, and shortly afterwards, they went on holiday together with their daughter, Daisy, and Orlando’s teenage son, Flynn.

Former world leader Trudeau has been single since August 2023, when it was announced that he and Sophie Grégoire, his wife of 18 years, had separated.

Madonna Says She Experienced Suicidal Feelings During Custody Battle Over Son Rocco

Madonna has shared that she contemplated taking her own life after becoming embroiled in a public custody battle over her then-teenage son.

Almost a decade ago, the Grammy-winning musician found herself at the centre of a legal spat with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie, after their eldest son Rocco, who was 15 at the time, said he wanted to live with his dad in the UK rather than joining his mum at their family home in the States.

The Like A Prayer singer was on a world tour during the early stages of this custody battle, at one point breaking down in tears as she talked about Rocco during a one-off stand-alone show in Australia.

During a wide-ranging new interview on the podcast On Purpose With Jay Shetty, which mostly centred around spirituality, Madonna opened up about this low ebb in her personal life.

“I actually contemplated suicide,” she recalled. “One of the most painful moments in my life where I honestly couldn’t see the forest through the trees was when I went through a custody battle with my son.

“Even though my marriage didn’t work out – I mean, a lot of people’s marriages don’t work out, they marry the wrong people, they’re not aligned, they’re not meant for each other.

“[But] someone trying to take my child away from me was like, they might as well just kill me. That’s really how I was thinking.”

Madonna went on to disclose that she would often find herself “lying on the floor of my dressing room sobbing” during this period.

“I had to go on stage every night,” she said. “I really thought it was like it was the end of the world. I couldn’t take it. I just couldn’t take it.”

The chart-topping star is a mum to six children in total: 28-year-old Lourdes, 25-year-old Rocco, 20-year-old David, 19-year-old Mercy and 13-year-old twins Estere and Stella.

Fortunately, Madonna and Rocco have now put their past differences aside, and are now “great friends”, she told Jay Shetty, and last month he joined his siblings for his famous mum’s birthday celebrations in Italy.

Weeks earlier, she also made a public statement in solidarity with the children of Gaza on her eldest son’s birthday, which she described as the “best gift I can give to him as a mother”.

Dua Lipa Clarifies Reports Suggesting She Fired Her Former Agent Due To His Pro-Israel Stance

Dua Lipa has spoken out after recent reports about the parting of ways between herself and her former agent.

Over the weekend, the Daily Mail published a story linking Dua ending her professional relationship with David Levy and the fact he had reportedly signed a letter over the summer calling on Glastonbury organisers to drop Kneecap from their line-up amid controversy surrounding comments the group had made about Israel and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Posting on her Instagram story on Tuesday evening, the Houdini singer – who has previously expressed solidarity with Palestine – maintained that while she does “not condone the actions of David Levy or other music executives toward an artist speaking their truth” she also “cannot ignore how this has been handled in the press”.

“Not only was the story completely false but the language used by the Daily Mail has been deliberately inflammatory, crafted purely for clickbait, clearly designed to fuel online division,” she insisted.

Dua added: “It is always Free Palestine but exploiting a global tragedy in order to sell newspapers is something I find deeply troubling.”

Meanwhile, Dua’s agency WME also issued a statement to BBC News, which read: “Reports suggesting that Dua Lipa or her management dismissed one of our agents because of his political views are categorically false”.

Pointing out that Dua and David worked together in her “early career”, the company’s statement said that the pair officially stopped working together as far back as 2019, although he remained “in an advisory role” on her team until “earlier this year”, at which point they said he moved on to other projects.

The Mail’s online article has now been updated to reflect this, as well as correcting an error suggesting that David had at one point served as Dua’s manager, which is not the case.

So far, 2025 has seen Dua touring the UK in support of her latest album Radical Optimism, notably including two sold-out Wembley Stadium shows, and announcing her engagement to the British actor Callum Turner.
