Kim Kardashian Regrets This ‘Odd’ Photo-Shoot With Justin Bieber When He Was Still A Teenager

Kim Kardashian has reflected on an “odd” photo-shoot she took part in with Justin Bieber when he was still a teenager.

During an interview on the podcast Call Her Daddy, Kim was asked if there’s anything she’s done that could have got her “cancelled”, prompting her to reflect on the shoot from the early years of her fame,

“I think I’m gonna get canceled if I say it,” the reality star quipped. “Like, I don’t know who approved this, and I don’t know who thought that this was normal, this narrative. But I did a photo-shoot with Justin Bieber, and he was 16 years old. And I don’t know how old I was.”

The photo-shoot in question – seemingly inspired by the film The Graduate – took place in 2010 for Elle magazine, and saw the pair splashing about in the sea, with Kim throwing poses like holding a rose to Justin’s face.

“Nothing ever weird was obviously happening,” she clarified. “And like, I just think that was like an odd concept and [I don’t know] why none of us thought that that was odd at the time.

“But now, we look back and I’m like, ‘that would have not been the most appropriate thing’.”

Kim clarified that Justin’s parents, as well as his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez, were all present at the shoot, insisting there was “like nothing creepy at all” going on.

“But I look back and I’m like, that’s the one thing that I feel like, you know, he’s like a good dear friend of ours and the whole family, but like, who thought that that was a good idea?” she added.

Later in the interview, Kim explained that she first met Justin at a White House dinner, and had previously said she was keen to set him up with younger sister Kendall Jenner, who was 14 at the time, but that he had quipped about being more interested in Kim.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Kim opened up about the breakdown of her marriage with her ex-husband Ye (better known as Kanye West) and how fun it is to “break the internet”.

She also asked for “a little bit of grace” when it comes to her 12-year-old daughter North West’s outfits, following recent chatter around her oldest child sporting looks that included corsets and a dermal piercing.

Kim Kardashian Explains Her ‘Issue’ With Walking At The Met Gala, And It All Makes Sense Now

At this year’s bash, the reality star appeared to have trouble walking ― and breathing ― in her custom Maison Margiela Artisanal gown by John Galliano, which Kim basically confirmed in a video with Vogue.

The Skims founder called breathing in her corset “an art form” but said she had a handle on it in the video, released days after the event.

Walking proved to be another “issue,” and for good reason. Kim explained that she wore shoes without a heel to make sure her look stayed intact, though it did make it more of a challenge to get up the Met Gala stairs.

“It’s clever because if I had a shoe with a heel, the heel gets stuck in the metal skirt. And so that was our issue with walking,” the American Horror Story star explained while holding up the acrylic, heel-less platforms for the camera.

“To wear these, you’re on your tiptoes and you’re balancing the whole time flexing your calf muscles,” Kim said. “So that’s what I’m gonna have to do ― is stand on my tippy toes. “I think ballerinas do it, and they probably have a lot of practice. This is our only practice, but we’ll do it.”

“I think we really need the height on this look, so we gotta do what we gotta do,” she added.

Kim was right about the “we”, as she wound up making it up the stairs with the help of two assistants.

If Kim wants to pivot to a more comfortable look next year, she can try Bad Bunny’s black-and-white Bolero shoes, which resembled hooves.

Kim Kardashian Confirms A Few Rumours About Herself — And They’re Weird

Kim Kardashian does not have six toes, but she did confirm a few other details about herself on Jimmy Kimmel’s US talk show on Monday night — and a handful are pretty kooky.

Near the end of their chat, Jimmy decided to ask the Skims owner if a few “interesting” rumours about her were true or not.

The reality TV star was game, and Kim confirmed two pretty banal facts about herself: She knows how to change a tire, and she washes her feet every night before going to bed.

But she also admitted that she blow-dries her jewellery before putting it on.

“Because I hate being freezing,” Kim explained. “And when you put on cold jewellery or like anything with a zipper — I just need it warm.”

OK, sure, we kind of get that, but nothing can explain the weirdest tidbit Kim confirmed — which is that she makes someone else take the cardboard sleeve off her Starbucks coffee because she hates the sound the cardboard makes.

“Yes … and I hate the feeling,” Kim admitted.

She said she doesn’t even like watching the sleeve come off.

“The cardboard getting moved off the cup is like nails on a chalkboard to me,” she explained.

Most of the rumours Jimmy mentioned turned out to be accurate — except the myth that she has six toes, which was at least one thing she was able to debunk.

“Were some of these not supposed to be true, but they really are, and you guys didn’t know?” she joked.

Caitlyn Jenner Says Kim Kardashian ‘Calculated’ Her Fame ‘From The Beginning’ In New Docuseries

Caitlyn Jenner is unleashing her thoughts on the Kardashian family in the new upcoming docuseries, House of Kardashian.

In the trailer that dropped on Thursday, the Olympian, who is the ex-spouse of famous momager Kris Jenner and the parent of Kylie and Kendall Jenner, seemingly aired out her former stepdaughter Kim Kardashian about the manner in which she rose to fame.

“Kimberly calculated from the beginning, ‘How do I become famous?’” the 73-year-old former Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete said in the trailer, seemingly nodding to her leaked sex tape debacle with her ex-boyfriend Ray J in 2007.

One of Kourtney Kardashian’s exes and Girls Gone Wild founder, Joe Francis, also chimed in on the Skims founder’s controversial rise to stardom.

“[Kim’s] sex tape was a means to an end,” Francis alleges in the clip. “It was to create a controversy.”

In the teaser, an off-screen voice asks Caitlyn what it was like working professionally with Kris, whom she was married to for 23 years until 2015, prompting the I am Cait star to belt out a knowing laugh before the trailer comes to a sudden end.

Produced by 72 Films in association with Sky Studios, the three-part documentary series will examine “the cost that comes with having Kardashian-level fame,” according to the series’ synopsis. The series also promises to show off “never-before-seen archival footage and interviews from the family’s inner circle.”

Speaking about the impact of the documentary, Caitlyn added in a statement: “I was happy to participate in the interview process to share my side which points to the strength, influence and prowess my family has in captivating the world’s attention and keeping it over the years.”

“I am incredibly proud of all my children and stepchildren,” she continued.

Back in December 2017, Caitlyn spoke about how she has become estranged from the Kardashians, revealing to U.K. broadcaster Piers Morgan that she has “lost all relationship” with her ex-wife and step children and “doesn’t talk” to any of them anymore.

Last year, Caitlyn, who appeared on the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians since its first episode in 2007, voiced her feelings on X, formerly known as Twitter, about not being included in the family’s latest show “The Kardashians.”

Retweeting Variety’s story about her exclusion from the series in March 2022, she wrote, “I was there when this started from day one. I watched it grow. And doing the show for almost 20 seasons was one of the highlights of my life.”

She added: “To be able to work with my family for all those years, connect with the fans, it was incredible. Happy that it continues for my family.”

Kim Kardashian Reveals Met Gala Diet Led To ‘Really Painful’ Psoriasis Flare-Up

Kim Kardashian has revealed that her dramatic change in diet in order to lose weight for this year’s Met Gala came with “really painful” side effects.

Back in May, the reality star and aspiring barrister received a wave of backlash when she revealed she’d lost 16 pounds in the space of three weeks in order to fit in one of Marilyn Monroe’s most iconic dresses on the Met Ball’s red carpet.

In a new interview with Allure magazine, Kim disclosed that part of the regime included ditching her usual plant-based diet and eating meat, which she said caused her to have a psoriasis flare-up.

“Psoriasis broke out over my body and I got psoriatic arthritis so I couldn’t really move my hands,” she told the magazine.

“It was really painful, and I had to go to a rheumatologist who put me on a steroid. I was freaking out.”

She added that she’s now “cut out the meat again”, claiming this has led her condition to “calm down”.

Last month, Kim responded to criticism about her weight loss comments, saying: “To me it was like, ‘OK, Christian Bale can do it for a movie role and that is acceptable.’ Even Renée Zellweger gained weight for a role. It’s all the same to me.

“I wasn’t saying, ‘Hey everyone, why don’t you go lose this weight in a short period of time?’”

Elaborating on this in her new Allure interview, Kim added: “If I was starving and doing it really unhealthy, I would say that, of course, that’s not a good message.

“But I had a nutritionist, I had a trainer. I have never drunk more water in my life. I don’t see the criticism for other people when they lost weight for roles — they are [considered] geniuses for their craft.

“There are so many things out there that are so not accurate and not true. I think I’ve always just been the underdog.”

Kim’s decision to wear an old dress of Marilyn’s to the Met Gala proved seriously divisive.

Although she switched into a replica gown immediately after the red carpet, she has since been forced to hit back at claims that she damaged the dress by wearing it to the Met Ball.

The dress in question was worn by the Hollywood legend in 1962, when she sang Happy Birthday to US president John F Kennedy.

Kim Kardashian Says She’d Consider Eating Poo To Look Younger

“I’ll try anything,” the beauty and reality TV mogul told The New York Times in a recent interview about her new skin care line.

“If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might. I just might.”

The new line, SKKN by Kim, is a nine-product skin routine mirroring her own elaborate regimen: cleanser, toner, exfoliator, hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin C serum, face cream, eye cream, oil drops and night oil. The brand launches next month and joins her existing makeup and shapewear lines, KKW Beauty and Skims.

The nine items come to an eye-popping total of $630, which Kim told the Times was necessary in order to include the ingredients she wanted.

She said she uses the products on her neck and décolletage all the way “down to my nipples.”

The Times clarified that, as yet, “excrement is not one of the ingredients in Ms. Kardashian’s new skin care line”.

How Soon Is Too Soon To Become Attached To Your New Partner’s Children?

For parents dating again, figuring out when to introduce a new partner to your kids is a tricky calculus: How many months should you wait? Does the relationship feel stable and safe enough to take that step? Is your child emotionally ready to meet someone new since you split from your co-parent? What will your ex say?

The stress doesn’t end there; once the introductions have been made, you need to check in with your kids to make sure it’s all not too much, too fast, and that they’re comfortable around your new partner.

This common post-divorce dilemma has played out on a very public stage in recent months, since reality star Kim Kardashian has started dating Saturday Night Livekim comedian Pete Davidson.

Things seem to be going swimmingly for the new couple, but Kardashian’s ex, Kanye West, has expressed concern about Davidson’s relationship with his kids. (At one point West even dramatically wrote, “NO YOU WILL NEVER MEET MY CHILDREN” on an Instagram post.)

Still, photos taken recently show that Davidson has met the couple’s kids. And earlier this month, another photo popped up showing what appears to be a new tattoo for the comedian: The ink reads KNSCP, letters many fans believe stand for Kardashian’s four children with West: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

If the tattoo is real – and Davidson does have a history of getting tattoos for the women in his life, including a branding in dedication to Kardashian – it’s a showy display of commitment on his part.

Family therapists we spoke to wondered just how committed a person could be after roughly six months of dating.

“The tattoo seems more like evidence of his impulsivity rather than his genuine attachment to his girlfriend’s kids, which he could not possibly have in any substantive way after only six months,” says Virginia Gilbert, a Los Angeles-based therapist specialising in high-conflict divorce.

“I think six months is too soon to meet her kids, especially with an in-process messy divorce and Kanye being so opposed to the meeting, but everything Kim does is in the public eye, it would have been hard to keep Pete a secret, so the question is probably moot,” she added.

Kurt Smith, a family therapist in Roseville, California, who mostly works with men, says that the desire to connect deeper with your significant other by showing interest in their kids is understandable.

Ultimately, though, new partners need to recognise that it’s a delicate dance ― one that usually requires a healthy distance.

“Pete should be asking himself why that was so important for him to do at this stage of the relationship,” he says.

Since this co-parenting quandary is top of mind for many right now, we decided to ask family therapists and other experts on blended families to share the advice they’d give to parents newly dating again like Kardashian. Here’s what they say.

First off, when should introductions be made?

For divorced parents, when to introduce and involve a new partner in children’s lives is a complex question, with no “one size fits all” answer.

For some people, six months is enough; for others, a slower approach might be necessary, says Dawn O. Braithwaite, a professor of communication studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Braithwaite has spent her career studying how families interact to create, navigate and change relationships, routines and traditions, especially in stepfamilies and chosen families.

According to her, parents need to consider the following six things before making introductions:

What they believe will be the future of their new relationship
The age of the children
How long it’s been since the separation or divorce
How well children have adjusted to changes in their family situation
The relationship with the co-parent
The interest the new partner has in meeting the kids

“While there are exceptions, most scholars have found that new partners can play a positive role in children’s lives, but that they should go slow and act as a friend for children rather than overstepping and acting in ways that are confusing or inappropriate for children,” the professor says.

Meetups should be casual at first

To avoid coming on too strong or overstepping boundaries, keep those early getting-to-know-you meetups as casual as possible: Arrange a park date or meet up for a Marvel movie and pizza.

“The onus needs to be on the new partner to meet the kids where they are ― meaning you need to participate in the kinds of things they like to do,” Gilbert says. “I would also suggest postponing adult sleepovers until the kids become comfortable with the new partner.”

Remember that your relationship is not with your partner’s kids — it’s with your partner only

If you’re the parent, reinforce that you’re not a package deal – not yet, anyway.

“Maintaining this boundary is important for both partners, the health of the new relationship, and, most importantly, for the kids’ health,” Smith says.

Move too quickly and you could quickly incur the annoyance of the kids ― and the potential ire of the other parent.

“I’ve counselled divorcing parents where his new girlfriend posted pics on social media of his kids at a birthday party like they were her own and believe me, it did not go over well with the other parent,” Smith says.

“It’s hard enough bringing in new partners and blending families, so avoiding anything that could cause tension or conflict should be avoided,” he explained.

Be comfortable being an outsider for a while.

Kids in situations like this are usually grappling with competing, confusing concerns, says Amy Begel, a family therapist in private practice in New York City and author of the blog Most Human: “Will they betray their father if they have a relationship with this new guy? Will they betray their mother if they are loyal to their father and want to protect his feelings?”

That’s why it’s important to take a backseat for a bit if you’re the new partner. It may feel like a blow to the ego to be treated as marginal, or worse, an intruder, but patience during this process is crucial, Begel says.

As Jenna Korf, a stepmom and founder of StepmomHelp.com, previously told HuffPost, you’re an outsider joining an already-formed family – even if your partner and their kids eventually move into your home.

“A lot of this is unintentional, but kids automatically go to their parent,” she says. “You might be sitting right next to your partner and they won’t address you, often leaving you out of the conversation.”

If you’re the new partner, take the approach of a new friend or neighbour, not an automatic stepparent.

New partners should try to befriend the kids, but move at a pace determined by the kids, says Ron Deal, the founder of SmartStepfamilies.com and author of a number of popular books on blended families.

“In my book with Dr. Gary Chapman, Building Love Together in Blended Families, I tell stepparents it’s like making friends with a new neighbour,” Deal says. “You don’t just push your way into their house and tell them you’re their new BFF. That makes enemies.”

Instead, the stepdad and author advised, you knock and wait patiently on the doorstep.

“You may even have to talk to them through the door for a while until you find a few things you have in common. Only when they open it can you begin to connect face to face,” Deal says. “Slowly, over time, a friendship is made that stands on its own terms.”

Meeting for the first time? Keep it casual. Think: The new Marvel movie on Disney+ and pizza at home where you get a chance to talk and get to know each other.

Avoid “erase and replace” messages if you’re the new partner

According to Deal, exaggerated gestures like Davidson’s tattoos send the wrong message to kids. The goal for new partners is to come across as additive rather than substitutive. The kids should feel like they’re potentially adding to the family, not getting a substitute dad or mum.

A child’s loyalty lies, understandably, with their biological parent, not the new stepparent. A message like that threatens their relationship with their father “may partially explain Kanye’s strong reaction and only escalates the battle between the parents,” Deal tells HuffPost.

It’s awful for a child to get attached to a new partner who then disappears from their lives. If your partner is coming on too strong with the kids, Gilbert says to acknowledge that this is a tough transition for everyone and tell them you really appreciate their efforts.

Then, shift the conversation: Try to encourage them to see things from the kids’ perspective: Among other things, your kids may be feeling extra loyal to your ex or they may be experiencing grief that their parents are no longer together. They may not want to share you with a new person and they may not want someone to have control over changes in their lives.

“Your new partner needs to understand how overwhelming your relationship might feel to the kids and that their ambivalence is not about them,” Gilbert says. “If the issue is creating conflict between you and your new partner, consider seeing a therapist who can help you both make child-centred decisions.”

After a year out, the Met Gala was back with a bang on Monday night.

While the annual A-list event is famously held on the first Monday in May, organisers clearly felt that this would simply be too long to make us wait in 2021, so decided to throw together a little something for September.

This year, the event was chaired by singer Billie Eilish, Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet, poet Amanda Gorman and tennis pro Naomi Osaka, with the theme being “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”.

As ever, some of the stars in attendance understood the assignment completely, and others missed the mark somewhat.

Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan could not control her excitement after finding out Kim Kardashian was a fan of her’s – and it appears the feeling was very much mutual.

The pair shared a Twitter love-in after the actor revealed the Kardashians were a source of inspiration for her on the set of the hit Netflix period drama.

On Tuesday, Nicola tweeted: “As the world’s number one @bridgerton Stan does @KimKardashian know that the Kardashians were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtons and we talked about them all the time during our fittings? Because I feel like she should know this.”

And sure enough, it wasn’t long before Nicola’s tweet caught Kim’s attention, and her mind was blown.

“WHAT?!?! I am freaking out!!!!!!” Kim wrote. “This tweet was sent to me on my @bridgerton group chat! Can I please come to a fitting?!?! It would make my whole life!!!!!! I love you Lady W!!!”

Nicola. whose Bridgerton character Penelope Featherington was revealed to be the mysterious Lady Whistledown, replied: “Omg yesss of course we would love to have you!

Nicola then gave her the ultimate honour, tweeting: “Why of course, Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas! Lady Whistledown is happy to declare you the season’s true incomparable.”

Speaking to her followers, who were living for the exchange as much as she was, Nicola tweeted: “You know I’ve loved Kim for like over a decade, I can’t even deal.”

There’s a real possibility of Kim’s dreams coming true too, as earlier this month, it was confirmed that a third and fourth series of Bridgerton have now been commissioned, on top of a previously-announced second season.

Jonathan Bailey’s character Anthony Bridgerton will take centre stage in the second series, with Sex Education star Simone Ashley joining the cast as Kate, a new love interest for him.

However, it has been confirmed that Regé-Jean Page will not be appearing in the second series as the Duke Of Hastings, which did not go down well with fans.

The show’s producer Shonda Rhimes has since spoken out to deny reports that Regé-Jean turned down an offer to appear in another series.

Bridgerton is available to stream on Netflix now.
