Jason Isaacs Gets Honest About Working With Parker Posey After Latest White Lotus ‘Feud’ Claims

Jason Isaacs has opened up about his relationship with his former White Lotus co-star Parker Posey.

The pair played married couple Tim and Victoria Ratliff in the most recent season of the satirical US drama, for which most of the cast spent around seven months shooting in Thailand.

While promoting The White Lotus, the former Harry Potter star has repeatedly spoken highly of his on-screen children, played by Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola, but during a new interview with Vulture, it was pointed out that he’s been less forthcoming about Parker.

Asked what she was like to work with, he said simply: “She’s Parker Posey. She’s everything you think she would be.”

Pressed further, he explained: “She was playing someone out of her head, so she was given licence to be bonkers. And then I’m playing someone out of my head. So I didn’t really look at her or talk to her or listen to her because I’m so much in my own tunnel.”

“So I can’t really tell you what it’s like to interact with her too much,” he admitted.

Last month, The Sun published a piece – following claims apparently first made in the Daily Mail – alleging that Jason and Parker were embroiled in an on-set feud while they made the show.

HuffPost UK contacted both actors’ representatives for comment at the time, but did not receive a response.

During a wide-ranging piece in The Guardian published before the latest season began airing, Jason said of the filming process: “There’s no question that sometimes it is absolutely fabulous, and sometimes it’s Lord of the Flies.”

He continued: “There are tensions and difficulties, I don’t know if they spilled from on screen to off-screen, or if it would have happened anyway.

“There were alliances that formed and broke, romances that formed and broke, friendships that formed and broke. It’s a long period of time for people to be away from their family with an open bar and all the wildness being in Thailand allows.”

“I can’t pretend I wasn’t involved in some off-screen drama,” he claimed, later adding: “We’ll all see one other again [for the premiere] and I’m sure we’ll be hugging and kissing and remembering it fondly. But there were times when things were not quite so fond.”

Aimee Lou Wood Names The 1 White Lotus Cast Member Who’s Least Like Their Character

Aimee Lou Wood has revealed there is one member of the White Lotus season three cast who isn’t anything like their character.

During a recent interview with BuzzFeed, the Bafta winner spoke about White Lotus showrunner Mike White’s strong intuition when it came to casting actors who have something in common with the characters he’s created.

She explained: “Even if the behaviour isn’t the same, and the circumstances, Mike does tend to cast actors through his incredible intuition that share an essence with their character.”

“Except for Patrick,” Aimee quickly added, referring to co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger. “Patrick is not Saxon. In any way, shape or form.”

“Michelle [Monaghan is] not very Jaclyn, either, actually,” Aimee continued. “But I would say that Patrick is the most far away from his character.

“But the rest of us? There is something there that is shared. Which is why it can start to get a little bit claustrophobic and a little bit vulnerable.”

Similarly, Carrie Coon recently told TheWrap about how far apart Patrick is from his White Lotus alter-ego.

“I tell everyone he’s not a douchebag, because they just assume he’s like that!” Carrie explained. He’s not like that at all – you don’t understand. He’s playing a character.

White Lotus Star Walton Goggins Has Complicated Feelings About Chelsea And Rick’s ‘Love Story’

The White Lotus star Walton Goggins is celebrating the doomed romance at the centre of this year’s season.

Season three concluded with a bumper-length finale in which both Walton’s character, Rick, and his girlfriend, Chelsea (played by Aimee Lou Wood), were killed in a mass shooting at the luxury Thai resort.

Rick and Chelsea’s relationship has already been one of the most divisive aspects of the current season – and the fact that his actions ultimately led to her death (despite her pleading with him to not “do anything stupid” shortly before the shooting began) looks set to only exacerbate these discussions.

Posting on Instagram in the early hours of Monday morning, Walton shared his take on the relationship.

“Rick + Chelsea. With the heaviest of hearts,” he began. “To me, ours was a love story.

“It was only ever a love story, hindered by unresolved, childhood trauma. We all have them… but can we move past them.

“In the depths of our despair there is always beauty around us. If we can sit with our pain, just sit with it… not react… not be defined by it… it’s there… the love the world is constantly giving in any given moment is there. Always waiting for us to see it… Trust me I know.”

Walton went on to thank White Lotus creator Mike White “for your imagination, your tender heart, for the privilege of giving us the opportunity to tell it”, co-star Aimee “for being my partner” on “a journey I will never forget”, and Sam Rockwell (who he dubbed “Sammy Rock”) “for being the best wing man a fella could ask for”.

After paying homage to the rest of the cast and crew, Walton ended his post with a quote from the Greek tragedist Aeschylus, which read: “Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, until, in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God.”

Interestingly, Mike White previously compared Chelsea and Rick’s love story to a Greek tragedy in a behind-the-scenes video posted online after the episode aired.

“It’s a classic theme of Greek tragedy, somebody killing the thing that they love by trying to get some revenge,” Mike claimed.

Walton’s post sparked a big reaction from some of his co-stars, with Patrick Schwarzenegger commenting that he’d been moved to tears, and Michelle Monaghan writing simply: “This quote.”

Before the finale aired, Walton also posted some candid behind-the-scenes photos, telling his followers: “We all were invited to this party… and we partied our asses off. It was a collective experience, an individual experience… an experience of real growth I believe for us all. Certainly it was for me.

“I think we all lost our minds willingly or otherwise somewhere along the way. I know I did. It was a wild ride. In the pantheon. What a time. Last lap tonight.”

All three seasons of The White Lotus are now available to stream on Sky and Now in the UK.

Patrick Schwarzenegger Shares His Take On The White Lotus’ Most ‘Insane’ Sex Scene Yet

This article contains major spoilers for the latest episode of The White Lotus.

Patrick Schwarzenegger has weighed in on the outrageous scene in this week’s episode of The White Lotus.

In what’s sure to become one of the Emmy-winning series’ most talked-about moments ever, the latest instalment of The White Lotus saw one of the Ratliff brothers performing a sexual act on his brother after a night of partying.

The episode picks up the following morning, with both Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola’s characters having flashbacks to what went on between them as the day unfolds.

Speaking to Screen Rant, Patrick said that this marks a turning point and a moment when everything “definitely switches” for his character, Saxon.

Asked how he reacted when he first read the script, he admitted: “It was a page-turner. I was waiting to see what was going to happen – and then when I read that, my mouth was kind of on the floor.

“I knew a little bit [about what to expect between the brothers], because during some of the audition scenes, it had some references to some stuff.”

He then recalled: “I remember reading it for the first time with my fiancée. We read it out loud and then I looked and was like, ‘did that say what I thought it said?’. But yeah, it’s a hilarious, absurd, insane scene.”

Patrick went on to describe the moment as a “total power shift for him and his character”.

“He’s on the other side of what he would be doing to someone else before,” he claimed. “And, it’s something that totally changes him. He’s totally flustered, it’s this kind of internal conflict.”

In a separate video feature for HBO, Patrick said that at the beginning of the episode, “what I’m feeling that morning is total confusion, disgust of myself and just like curiosity of what that means for everything that I stand for. It definitely changes the dynamic.”

He continued: “Saxon is always the dominant one, but there’s definitely a sense of [him] being more insecure – and Chelsea and Chloe [Aimee Lou Wood and Charlotte Le Bon’s characters], they start to bully him.”

The White Lotus Star Aimee Lou Wood Embraced Her Teeth Thanks To This Iconic Pop Culture Moment

Aimee Lou Wood has revealed that a certain beauty campaign helped her embrace her distinctive teeth.

In a recent Instagram collaboration with the makeup brand Merit, the Bafta winner reflected on her own changing relationship with beauty.

“Playing loads of different characters has really helped with my self-confidence surrounding beauty, because it’s meant I’ve had to surrender control a lot,” the White Lotus star explained.

She continued: “A big thing for me growing up was my mouth, because it was the thing that everyone pointed out, and it was the thing that made me different. And I’d never seen an actress on TV with teeth like mine.

“When [Georgia May Jagger] did [her] ‘get the London look’ [for Rimmel], and she had the gap teeth, that was a huge moment. And I thought, ‘no, I am going to put red lipstick on, and I am going to draw attention to it’.”

In a full-circle moment, Georgia May Jagger then popped up in Aimee’s comments, telling her: “Your teeth are gorgeous.”

Aimee recently brushed off negative comments about her teeth during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

She claimed: ”All I ever do is take the piss out of myself. Even the way [White Lotus fans] are talking about me and my teeth — that I don’t have veneers or Botox — it feels a bit rebellious.”

Aimee can currently be seen in action in the third season of The White Lotus, playing Chelsea, a character who – like herself – originally hails from Manchester.

In the lead-up to the new season, Aimee revealed that in her original audition, she tried out both American and British accents, before producers decided to stick with her natural twang.

She told On Demand Entertainment: “I just don’t think I look very American at all. It’s the teeth. No Americans have my teeth…They just don’t.”

Jennifer Coolidge has made it clear we shouldn’t get our hopes up about seeing her back on The White Lotus in the future.

The Legally Blonde star has been enjoying a huge career renaissance since she started playing Tanya in the hit US anthology series, as evidenced by her wins at the Emmys, Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards and SAG Awards in the past few years.

Given that Tanya was killed off in the season two finale, it’s perhaps no surprise that the third iteration of The White Lotus has been the first not to feature Jen – although that hasn’t stopped fans from coming up with ways she could be shoehorned into a future season.

One popular suggestion has seen some White Lotus viewers claiming that Jennifer could play Tanya’s twin sister in a future season of The White Lotus, though she downplayed this idea during a recent interview with Forbes.

“Look, it’s not like I haven’t wished or whatever, but it isn’t happening,” she insisted. “It doesn’t matter.”

Jennifer then added: “They don’t need me.”

She also heaped praise on The White Lotus creator Mike White, who is also her personal friend, claiming he can “tell a story better than anybody”.

Although Jennifer’s character does not appear in the current series of The White Lotus, her presence is still very much felt thanks to the return of Jon Gries, who played Tanya’s love interest in the first two seasons.

“I hope he gets it!” Jennifer added during her Forbes interview. “I hope they do something terrible to him.”

Jon isn’t the only returning star in the new batch of episodes, though, with Natasha Rothwell reprising the role of Belinda, who had her own run-ins with Tanya during the show’s inaugural run.

The White Lotus continues on Monday on Sky and Now in the UK.

People Are Just Noticing This Connection Between The White Lotus Season 3 And Another Hit Show

Just one episode into the new season, and fan theories about what’s next for The White Lotus are already starting to flood in thick and fast.

Meanwhile, some fans have already pointed out a connection between the award-winning series and another hit US show.

Episode one of The White Lotus’ third season introduced us to the Ratliffs, a wealthy Southern family headed up by Parker Posey and Jason Isaacs, with Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sam Nivola and Sarah Catherine Hook playing their on-screen children.

It didn’t take long for some viewers of the satirical comedy-drama to pick up that the surname “Ratliff” appeared in another show that originated on the US broadcaster HBO.

Back in 2022, The Staircase was adapted into a true crime drama series headed up by Colin Firth and Toni Collette.

The original documentary told the story of Michael Peterson, a writer who was initially convicted of murdering his wife Kathleen, only for the charge to be reduced to manslaughter seven years later after he submitted an Alford plea, after which he was freed.

In the drama – and, indeed, in real life – Peterson’s adopted daughters, played by Sophie Turner and Odessa Young, had the somewhat unusual surname Ratliff, which did not go unnoticed by White Lotus fans when the show’s new family members were introduced.

The similarities don’t end there, though, as the Ratliff family are revealed to be from Durham, North Carolina, the same Southern city in which the events depicted in The Staircase played out.

Oh, and then there’s the fact that two of the actors in the new season of The White Lotus – Parker Posey and Patrick Schwarzenegger – also appeared in the dramatised version of the original documentary The Staircase.

Exactly what this means remains to be seen, although some fans have their suspicions…

Earlier this week, fans picked up on another subtle detail in the White Lotus season opener, which some felt might tease something dark in the Ratliffs’ future.

We’ve Got Seriously Good News For The White Lotus Fans

Fans of HBO show The White Lotus may have felt at a loss since the show’s last season, which concluded in 2022.

Since then, a season three has been announced, though all we know so far is that it’ll be set in Thailand with an all-star cast.

Expect to see Dazed And Confused actor Parker Posey, Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs, Sex Education’s Aimee Lou Wood, The Staircase’s Patrick Schwarzenegger, Fallout’s Walton Goggins, First Kill’s Sarah Catherine Hook and rising star Sam Nivola.

Blackpink singer Lisa is also set to star in the 2025 production; but sadly Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya won’t.

Still, some better news… Yesterday, Variety shared a happy fact about the future of the show.

The publication said that season four has been given the go-ahead by HBO, and producers hope it’ll come out in 2026.

The news comes after the show’s creator Mike White announced last November that he’d pitched his ideas for a further season.

“Mike, obviously — if he wants to move forward and do the four seasons — he will do the fourth season,” HBO and Max executive Casey Bloys said at the time.

Season four has been confirmed before season three, which is set to hit our screens on February 13, comes out.

We don’t know much about season 4 ― neither writers nor execs have shared where the show, which has previously been shot in Hawaii and Sicily, will be filmed.

But let’s be real ― so long as the Emmy-winning show sticks to its “rich people’s opulent nuttiness” theme, we reckon fans are bound to be satisfied.

Jennifer Coolidge has revealed she came close to turning down her award-winning role in The White Lotus.

The Legally Blonde star made her first appearance as the rich, needy, and self-absorbed Tanya McQuoid in the acclaimed comedy drama in its first season back in 2021.

Tanya quickly became a fan-favouriteand returned for the show’s second season with some unforgettable lines, including the forever-memed quote: “These gays, they’re trying to murder me.”

But in a new interview, Jennifer has admitted that she almost didn’t accept the part.

Speaking to British GQ about how she felt after landing the role, Jennifer admitted: “I was, like, not in the mood.”

“I was depressed,” she added. “I was very depressed.”

Luckily, Jennifer had a change of heart and committed to the show.

Her efforts were subsequently rewarded as she picked up an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Tanya, putting her career in a completely new direction.

The White Lotus is a satirical anthology series created by former School Of Rock star Mike White, with each season set in a different branch of a luxury hotel resort chain.

The second series arrived in November 2022 and, set in Sicily, Italy, followed the demise and eventual death of Jennifer’s character.

Divulging what she had hoped the most recent season would have in store for her, Jennifer added to the publication: “I had encouraged Mike to tell an Italian story, I said I would love to be in Italy or something, riding around on a Vespa with all these men reaching out and trying to light my cigarette.

“That’s my fantasy. But then I guess that suggestion got me killed.”

It was announced last year that The White Lotus would be returning for a third series, with reports claiming that it will be set in Thailand.

In April, it was confirmed that Natasha Rothwell – who played Belinda Lindsey on the first season – will be reprising her role.

The White Lotus Star Lukas Gage Speaks Out On Chris Appleton Romance Reports

It was recently reported that the American actor – known for playing Dillon in the hit HBO series, as well as his roles in Euphoria, Love Victor and You – was in a relationship with Chris, who is known for his work with stars like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez.

The pair have also shared pictures on social media on holiday together in Mexico, and walked the red carpet at the Vanity Fair and TikTok’s Vanities: A Night for Young Hollywood event in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Lukas was asked about their photos in Mexico in an interview with The New York Times, who suggested people believed the snaps to be a “relationship announcement”.

He did not confirm the reports, and said he was still working out the “weird line” of what to keep private.

“If they want to think that, they can,” he said. “I’m a pretty open book about most things in my life, but I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody’s business and nothing can be sacred.

“It’s a weird line that I’m still trying to figure out.”

Following the publication of the interview, Chris shared a screenshot of it on his Instagram Story and wrote: “Hot & talented @lukasgage.(sic)”

He also commented on a post of Lukas’ promoting the interview, saying he was “proud” alongside a heart emoji.
