The star appeared alongside Paul in the original film version of Clueless, where he played Cher’s love interest Josh.
After Paul received the sexy honour earlier this week, Alicia celebrated with a Clueless moment on TikTok, keen to remind everyone that her character Cher Horowitz always knew how handsome he was.
She shared a clip of where Cher suddenly realises her feelings for Josh, but with an image of Paul’s People cover shoot superimposed over the top.
“I mean… Cher’s been saying he is a kind of a Baldwin since 1995 #Clueless #PaulRudd,” Alicia wrote.
Of course, she’s not the only one of Paul’s former co-stars to remark on his new title.
Paul’s Friends co-star, who he also shared the silver screen with in 1998 film The Object Of My Affection and 2011′s Wanderlust, wrote on her Instagram Story: “This makes me so happy. We’ve ALWAYS known this, but Paul Rudd is officially @people’s Sexiest Man Alive!”
She then shared a snap of them from The Object Of My Affection, writing: “You don’t age, which is weird. But we still love you.”
Paul, who is best known for playing Phoebe’s husband Mike in Friends, previously revealed his wife had an equally sweet reaction to his win.
He said Julie Yaeger, who he has been married to since 2003, was “stupefied” by his new title.
How Paul Rudd remains looking impossibly youthful remains one of life’s unanswerable questions, along with “is there life on Mars?” and “did the chicken or the egg come first?”.
The 52-year-old – who appeared alongside Jen in Friends as Phoebe’s husband Mike – was named People magazine’s top hottie in their annual honour earlier this week, taking the title from 2020 winner Michael B Jordan.
Jennifer, who also starred opposite Paul in 1998 film The Object Of My Affection and 2011′s Wanderlust, was delighted to see him bag the title.

He also said he’s fully expecting his circle of friends to give him “so much grief” following his win.

“As they should. I would,” he told the magazine. “I mean I’m going to lean into it hard. I’m going to own this. I’m not going to try to be like ‘Oh, I’m so modest.’”
“I’m getting business cards made,” he joked. “But all of my friends will destroy me and I expect them to. And that’s why they’re my friends.”

Those romance rumours surrounding Strictly Come Dancing favourites AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington definitely aren’t going anywhere – with the TV presenter giving a cryptic response when asked about the speculation once again.
AJ told PA Media: “I find it exciting that everyone’s interested in us enough to take note of all of these things.
“The way I see it is, everyone can see how well we’re getting on and how hard we’re working in order to try our best each and every week to put in a solid performance.”
After being asked outright whether there was any truth to the rumours, she responded: “Well, one thing that is definitely for sure is, we are doing a lot of dancing.”

With the single stars repeatedly being asked about reports they’re more than just dance partners in interviews, even Claudia Winkleman got in on the fun during last week’s Halloween special, urging them to kiss live on air.

The Pose star went on to suggest that he “personally changed the game” for men choosing to embrace skirts and dresses as part of their wardrobe.

Kelly Brook has revealed she was “shut down” by Idris Elba after trying to charm him at a party.
Speaking on her Heart radio show, Kelly admitted she’d been “taken aback” when she spotted the Luther star at an event back in 2014, and even ended up impersonating a bartender so she’d have a reason to speak to him.
“I was pretty tipsy, and I saw him, and like most women, was taken aback,” she explained.
“And I went behind the bar and I started pretending I worked there, and asked him if he wanted a drink.”

“He went, ‘Haha! Just have a lie in,’ and that was it. That was the last I heard from him! How embarrassing. I got the message; he shut me down.”
However, this is far from Kelly’s only embarrassing A-list encounter.
“[Madonna] just kind of , she just turned her head away because obviously it went straight up her nose,” Kelly recalled. “It was like something had crawled up there and died.”

Matthew Perry has reportedly signed a seven-figure deal to pen his autobiography.
The Friends star will write an “unflinchingly honest”account of his addiction issues in the as-yet-untitled book, which is set to be published in the autumn of 2022.
The actor, who played Chandler Bing on the US comedy, will take readers “behind-the-scenes” of Friends and will also explore the substance abuse and alcohol issues that have dogged his career, publisher Flatiron Books said.
According to reports in the US, the deal was in the “mid-seven figure range”.

The memoir is “the book that Friends fans have been waiting for but will also shed a powerful light for anyone who is in their own battle for themselves or a loved one”, Flatiron, a division of Macmillan, said.
Megan Lynch, publisher of Flatiron Books, said: “We need humour, we need catharsis, and we need to agree on something – and Matthew’s extraordinary story, told in his inimitable voice, is that thing.
“Matthew’s book has unrivalled potential to bring people together, which feels especially galvanising right now, a time of isolation and division.”
The 52-year-old was one of the best-known and best-paid television stars during the 10-year run of Friends from 1994 but he struggled to overcome addiction.
In 2016, Matthew told the BBC his drug use was so bad he cannot remember roughly three years of his time on Friends, from seasons three to six.

The actor got a serious case of the giggles when she appeared on the latest episode of Red Table Talk on Wednesday.
The 49-year-old star buried her head in her hands when host Jada Pinkett Smith got x-rated with a toy paddle and talked about using it to playfully spank someone on the bum.
