The Very Important Reason Why Actors Are Given Red Scripts

Ever wondered how some of the world’s biggest movies are successfully kept under wraps until the day they’re screened?

Well, according to Cillian Murphy, the Oppenehimer script he was hand-delivered by director Christopher Nolan himself had a special detail that would stop them from being duplicated.

Why? Because the combo makes the scripts far harder to be illegally photocopied and leaked before a film hits the big screen.

Referencing the script, Cillian noted: “[Nolan’s scripts] are always printed on red paper with black ink, unhelpfully, I guess to prevent against photocopying. But I don’t know who photocopies in 2024.

“He’s always had a tradition of printing on red paper with black ink. And it has my name kind of watermarked on each page, so it’s my fault [if it leaks].”

Interstellar actress Jessica Chastain has also shown off her own red and black script given to her by Nolan for the 2014 sci-fi epic

During his 60 Minutes interview, Cillian also showed off a touching note from Nolan on the cover of his original script which read: “Dearest Cillian, finally a chance to see you lead…”

Before Oppenheimer, Cillian had appeared in supporting roles in five of the British filmmaker’s movies.

Jack Harlow Teases Celebrity Crush With 5 Hints Pointing To Famous British Actor

Jack Harlow has a serious celebrity crush — and is giving fans hints about her identity.

The “First Class” rapper recently appeared on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast and, when asked if he had any A-list infatuations, admitted that “there’s someone.” The traits he listed, meanwhile, curiously matched those of a young starlet Harlow was allegedly seen kissing this month.

“We know you love Dua Lipa,” said host Alex Cooper in reference to one of his songs.

Cooper continued: “What other celebrities are you crushing on?”

That question arrived one week after celebrity gossip bloggers on the “Deux U” podcast alleged Harlow and “Don’t Worry Darling” star Florence Pugh were “making out until the early hours of the morning” at an undisclosed venue this month and “having a great time.”

Harlow confirmed on “Call Her Daddy” that he does have a celebrity crush but doesn’t think it’s “mutual.” When urged to come out with her name already, the rapper provided Cooper with a handful of hints about her identity — most notably that “she’s beautiful.”

“I’ll tell you, I’ll give you something,” Harlow told Cooper. “I like a girl next door … so I don’t need any internet presence. I like me a librarian. I like a waitress … I really like London. Those women know how to talk. You know what I mean? They know how to talk.”

While Pugh hails from Oxford and not London, she’s certainly British — and notably starred as a nurse in “The Wonder” (2022). The 27-year-old also arrived in Hollywood with a charm comparable to a “girl next door” but has an active internet presence.

Harlow wouldn't name his celebrity crush, but his hints could all suggest that it's Pugh.

“I just think the women over there have a certain wit and a certain, you know, they just are cheeky,” Harlow told Cooper about Brits. “Like they read a lot of books growing up.”

Whether the rumors surrounding him and Pugh are true remains to be seen. Pugh notably dated “Garden State” star Zach Braff from 2019 to 2022 and, while being spotted with photographer Charlie Gooch in February, might currently be thinking about Harlow.

The rapper himself certainly knows what he doesn’t like.

“I don’t like mean-spirited energy at all, and I don’t like toxicity,” he told Cooper. “That’s not one of my fetishes, and I know that’s going right now. There’s a lot of guys that are into that. I have no patience for it. And that’s right now. If you ask me when I turn 30, who knows?”

Joe Lycett’s ‘Cancelled’ Podcast Is Actually A Massive (And Important) Stunt… About Poo

Well, well, well. Many of you thought the sudden cancellation of Joe Lycett’s new podcast – the Turdcast, in which the comedian was set to interview celebrities about their best poo stories – was a bit suspect.

For those of you catching up, yesterday the 35-year-old invited members of the public in Liverpool to “spend a penny/drop a plop” (his words, not ours) before being interviewed about their horrific toilet stories for the podcast.

Or, at least, that was the plan. Because, sadly for Joe, that’s not quite how things turned out.

He confirmed on X that a “mechanical fault occurred” with the public toilet, leading to a “small spillage” and the eventual cancellation of the event – and the INDEFINITE CANCELLATION OF TURDCAST.

Now, this morning, Lycett has confirmed that the whole thing has been a total ruse.

Taking to social media this morning (in a video titled ‘A Statement From Miss Sue Idge’ he revealed: “I thought I would record a little video to explain what’s been going on over the last few days and give my side of the story.

“You might have seen there was a little incident in Liverpool on Thursday. So what I like to do is big stunts that get people talking about the big issues.

“Sometimes those stunts go to plan, and sometimes they absolutely don’t,’ he added, before being presented with a giant fake poo on a plate.

“On this occasion, everything went exactly to plan. Of course I didn’t spill raw sewage into the Royal Albert Dock. I’m not spilling s**t in public everywhere, who do you think I am, GB News?

“No, it was fake sewage from a fake toilet, to promote a fake podcast. Turdcast was never real, although we did record a real one with the real Gary Lineker.”

Okay, so what was the point?

“I spilled fake sewage because I wanted to get people talking about the billions of litres of real sewage that are released every year by our water companies,” he continued.

“Last year, according to one analysis the water companies paid shareholders £1.4billion in dividends. That’s a lot of money that could have been used to improve the sewer network and reduce spills.

“We’re asking the water companies to stop paying dividends and instead invest the money in solving this problem.”

He is now is asking people to ‘write to your water company’ to sign up to Joe’s Poo Promise.

But wait – there’s more. Lycett will now feature in a new Channel 4 documentary which will will investigate water companies as ‘the UK faces a sewage crisis’.

The doc, titled Joe Lycett vs Poo, will be an hour long and will investigate ‘how our waterways have become so polluted and why water companies have been allowed to taint one of our most precious resources.’

You can watch the full video here:

Tom Beck, head of live events and commissioning editor for Channel 4, said: “Joe is our leading mischief maker; he uses humour, wit and absolute fearlessness to call out companies, celebrities and even our politicians.

“He’s taken on the oil giants and David Beckham; now he’s highlighting one of our biggest environmental issues by diving into the murky waters of the utility companies polluting our seas and rivers.

“It will be provocative, revealing, important and feature lots of poo jokes. Who else could promise all of that?”.

The documentary is set to air in early 2024.

Olivia Colman Gets Candid About Downsides Of Fame: ‘I Was Crying, And They Were Laughing’

Over the course of her time in the spotlight, Olivia Colman has grown from cult favourite to national treasure to Oscar-winning international household name.

Even now, she’s still reaching new levels in her career, and on Thursday unveiled her first ever cover shoot for British Vogue.

In an accompanying interview with the magazine, the former star of The Crown spoke candidly about how fame has impacted her life – including some of the pitfalls.

Olivia explained that she and her family have now relocated to the countryside, after life in London “became difficult” as someone in the public eye.

“We never fell out of love with London,” she insisted. “I love London, but it became difficult just [because of] arseholes standing outside your front door, following you on the school run.”

Confirming that she was referring to paparazzi photographers, Olivia continued: “I was scared. At one point, there were two cars chasing us and I was having a sort of meltdown, terrified. I was crying and they were laughing.”

Reflecting on her career, Olivia named her role opposite David Tennant in Broadchurch as a moment when things really changed for her.

“Everybody really watched that,” she recalled. “That was weird. I ended up staying at home. I’m not good, turns out, at all that.”

One other downside of being in the spotlight for Olivia is having people take “what they think is a sneaky photograph” of her without her consent.

“It’s always obvious, you always know, and it’s awful. Don’t do it,” she stated. “It happened the other day at my kids’ school, a mum took one.

“You can’t even go: ‘Sorry, don’t do that,’ as then they say, ‘I wasn’t! I didn’t!’ And then you look like a dick. It’s a shame. I wish I was braver but I’m not.”

Fans of Olivia Colman have a number of big projects starring the award-winning star to look forward to, including the star-studded musical Wonka, the third Paddington film and the black comedy Pretty Little Letters.

However, there’s one major franchise she’s keen to break into – as she revealed elsewhere in her British Vogue interview.

Stormzy Addresses Maya Jama Reunion Rumours As He Lands Historic British Vogue Cover

Stormzy has spoken out for the first time about his reunion with girlfriend Maya Jama.

The award-winning rapper and Love Island host first began dating in 2015, but went their separate ways in 2019.

In the years that followed, they repeatedly shut down rumours about them reuniting, only to finally be photographed holding hands while on holiday together over the summer.

While fans were overjoyed at seeing the pair together again, they have both remained tight-lipped on the subject.

This included during Stormzy’s recent interview with British Vogue, during which he explained why he and the former Radio 1 star have opted to keep things private this time around.

“We were so public the first time round, somewhere down the line my spirit started resisting… so I’m not gonna speak on it,” he told the magazine.

On the photos of them on holiday, the Vossi Bop musician added: “We were just living la vida loca. Lapse of judgement for an hour!”

Last year, Stormzy referenced his and Maya’s break-up on his chart-topping third album This Is What I Mean.

He later opened up about the split during a sit-down interview with Louis Theroux, saying: “My break-up, that was probably the biggest catalyst for growth as a man. It was like, OK, you made a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared for, someone who is special to you.

“That’s probably the biggest loss a man can have, isn’t it? Away from someone passing away, that’s the biggest loss you can have.

“The whole fucking palaver that surrounded that situation, do you know what I mean? There were other things in terms of mistakes I’d made. I didn’t do what a man should do to fully appreciate love, and care for his woman.”

As well as his new interview, Stormzy is one of several Brits to appear on the cover of British Vogue’s December issue.

In doing so, he’s made history as the first British man to land a solo cover for the magazine (American actor Timothée Chalamet is the only other male cover star for British Vogue, as of September 2022).

The December issue of British Vogue is available via digital download and on newsstands from Tuesday 21 November. Read Stormzy’s full interview here.

Zac Efron Would Be ‘Honoured’ To Play Matthew Perry In A Biopic

Zac and Matthew starred in 2009’s romantic comedy, 17 Again, where Matthew’s 37 year old character becomes a teenaged version of himself, played by the former High School Musical star.

Athena Crosby, a close friend of the late actor, previously told People magazine that Perry “wanted to make a movie about his life and have a biopic made,” and that he “wanted Zac Efron, who’s played him already to play him again because he said he did such a good job”.

Promoting his new film The Iron Claw – which follows the legendary Von Erich brothers in the bitter professional wrestling world of the early 1980s – Zac has responded warmly to the suggestion.

Speaking to People, Zac told them: “I’m honoured to hear he was thinking of me to play him … I’d be honoured to do it.”

He continued by adding: “[Perry] was a mentor to me, and we made a really cool film together. I looked up to him, I learned comedic timing from that guy.

“I mean, when we were filming 17 Again, it was so surreal for me to look across and have him be there, because I’ve learned so much from him, from his whole life.”

It was recently revealed that the actor forced Friends writers to scrap a storyline in the long-running sitcom which involved Chandler (his character) cheating on his partner, Couretney Cox’s Monica.

This Is Why Singer Gregory Porter Wears A Balaclava Hat

Gregory Porter is a Grammy Award-winning jazz musician and actor, best known for his song Liquid Spirit which was featured on the Avengers: Age Of Ultron soundtrack.

He’s currently promoting his new album Christmas Wish and has recently appeared on This Morning, The One Show, and BBC Breakfast to talk about the album and what it means to him.

The album is deeply personal to the singer with the title song being a tribute to his mum and her kindness.

The 52-year-old said on X (formerly Twitter): “Christmas Wish is a tribute song to my mother, she would cook the most fabulous dinner for the holidays, we would pray over the food, then she would give it away and we would eat left overs.”

He added: “It was such an honourable thing and a great memory, so I have to put that memory in a song.”

With early reviews of his album describing it as a “soulful, festive gift”, it seems that Porter is well on his way to a successful Christmas season – but fans can’t stop asking one question as he appears in various interviews: what’s the story behind his flat cap hat?

The flat cap – specifically a Kangol Summer Spitfire – has been present throughout most of his career and has been modified to cover both his head and the sides of his face.

Why does Gregory Porter always wear a hat?

As ubiquitous as Porter’s hat is, it initially wasn’t a style choice.

Speaking to Jazz Weekly way back in 2012, the singer admitted that it had a real, practical purpose, saying: “I’ve had some surgery on my skin, so this has been my look for a little while and will continue to be for a while longer. People recognise me by it now. It is what it is.”

He also told The Metro: “It started off covering some scars from surgery but it’s become my style. I was in Denver and it was cold. I was wearing five layers of clothing and I wore a hat.

“It warmed up and I thought, ‘Actually, this is comfortable, this is a look.’ I started to sing in a jazz club in Denver and people were like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s the guy with the hat.’ So it became a thing.”

In 2015, the singer said he buys his own hats and has a variety to choose from – but they regularly feature the modified strap around his ears and chin.

It’s fair to assume that Porter has leaned into this trademark look and, why not? He looks great in it.

Salma Hayek Reflects On ‘Special Bond’ With Late Former Co-Star Matthew Perry

Salma Hayek is reflecting on her “special bond” with her former co-star Matthew Perry.

Perry was found dead Saturday at 54 from an apparent drowning in his jacuzzi. He was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, but he also starred opposite Hayek in Fools Rush In (1997) as strangers who unexpectedly conceive a child in Las Vegas.

Hayek shared a nostalgic Instagram photo Monday that appears to have been taken during production of the film. The reflective carousel also included a screenshot of an old Instagram story from Perry — in which stated that “Fools Rush In” was “probably my best movie.”

“I woke up to the shocking news that Matthew Perry is no longer with us,” wrote Hayek. “It’s taken me a couple of days to process this profound sadness. There is a special bond that happens when you share dreams with someone, and together you work towards them.”

She continued, “I was very moved last year when Matthew shared on his Instagram stories how much he loved ‘Fools Rush In’ and how he thought that the film we did together was probably his best movie.”

Perry had already wrapped three seasons of Friends as one of its most popular cast members when Fools Rush In hit cinemas. The late actor reflected on its production in his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing — with fond memories of Hayek.

He recounted in the book that Hayek had “some fun strategies to tap into real feelings and to be more of a leading man than a funny sitcom actor” for the film and “came into my trailer at the start of the shoot and said, ‘Let’s just spoon a little bit.’”

Perry continued: “I did my best Chandler impression — the double-take-and-sardonic-stare thing — and said, ‘Oh, OK! Let’s just spoon a little bit!’”

Perry recalled another hilarious suggestion from Hayek during a pivotal scene in which his character, a real estate developer forced to choose between his old life in New York City and his unexpected new family in Las Vegas, professes his love for her.

“She suggested that we don’t look at each other — rather, we should look out at our future together,” wrote Perry in his memoir. “After listening to this nonsense for about 20 minutes, I finally said, ‘Listen, Salma.’ I said, ‘I’m telling you I love you in this scene.’”

Perry continued: “‘You look wherever you want, but I’m going to be looking at you.’”

Hayek, who married French businessman François-Henri Pinault in 2009, wrote Monday in her post that she and Perry “found ourselves reminiscing about that meaningful time in our lives with a deep sense of nostalgia and gratitude” over the past two decades.

“My friend, you are gone much too soon, but I will continue to cherish your silliness, your perseverance, and your lovely heart,” wrote Hayek. “Farewell, sweet Matthew, we will never forget you.”

Perry’s autopsy results are currently inconclusive, as a toxicology report remains pending.

Channing Tatum And Zoe Kravitz Are Reportedly Engaged

What a treat for actors Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz: They reportedly got engaged before Halloween.

People reported the new development in the pair’s two-year relationship on Monday, citing multiple unnamed sources. ET later also reported the news.

The couple met while making Zoe’s directorial debut, Pussy Island, a thriller that stars Channing as a tech billionaire who hosts an intimate gathering on his private island.

Behind the scenes, the two quickly bonded.

“Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet,” she told GQ in 2022.

“I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger.”

Channing has built some of his career on the Magic Mike male stripper franchise while Zoe recently raised her profile by starring as Catwoman in The Batman with Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader.

They’re playing dress-up off-screen too these days ― they were recently photographed in a Rosemary’s Baby send-up theme on the way to Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party over the weekend.

You can see the possible engagement bling on her finger as Zoe, in costume as as Rosemary Woodhouse from the 1968 horror flick, walks with Channing, who’s, well, a baby.

Channing was previously married to Jenna Dewan, with whom he shares a 10-year-old daughter. Zoe, the daughter of celebrity exes Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, filed for divorce from Karl Glusman in late 2020 and it was finalised in 2021.

Rebecca Loos Opens Up About ‘Horrific’ Trolling She’s Received Following David Beckham’s Netflix Doc

Rebecca Loos has opened up about the trolling she has received following the release of David Beckham’s Netflix documentary.

Back in 2004, David’s ex-PA Rebecca claimed she had engaged in a four-month-long affair with the then-Real Madrid player, in an interview with the now-defunct News Of The World – which Becks blasted at the time as “ludicrous”.

But after the Beckhams discussed the media frenzy surrounding the allegations in the four-part documentary, Rebecca says has been targeted online.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Monday, Rebecca revealed: “I woke up to all these horrific messages on Instagram being called horrible names, awful trolling.

“I had heard about trolling before but never experienced it because 20 years ago we didn’t have social media.”

In the Netflix documentary – which is titled Beckham and aired on the streaming service on 4 October – David discussed the “pressure” the tabloid attention put on his and wife Victoria’s marriage.

“There were some horrible stories that were difficult to… deal with,” he revealed. “It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.”

“There were some days I would wake up and think, ‘How am I gonna go to work, how am I gonna walk onto that training pitch, how am I gonna look as though nothing’s wrong?’

“I felt physically sick every day when I opened my eyes, ‘How am I gonna do this?’”

Victoria added that the story was “a hundred per cent” the “hardest time” in her marriage, which came five years after they tied the knot in 1999.

Now the mother of two sons who are aged 14 and 11, Rebecca said during her GMB interview that she had told them about the documentary and “what had been said and how it made mummy feel”.

She added: “I said, ‘I feel that it’s very unfair, because of the way I’m being treated now, and the bullying I’m getting and the trolling, and I want to say something, and I’m going to do an interview so there might be some media and how do you feel about that?’

“And so my youngest son said, ‘Good for you, mummy. Yes, I would say something too.’”

Rebecca previously aired her thoughts on the Beckham documentary in an interview with the Mail On Sunday last week, accusing the former England captain of “making me look like a liar.”

HuffPost UK previously contacted representatives for David and Victoria Beckham after the interview’s publication, but did not receive responses.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1. Beckham is available to stream on Netflix now.
