Adam Levine Denies ‘Affair’ Claims But Says He ‘Crossed A Line’ As He ‘Clears The Air’

Musician Adam Levine has spoken out to “clear the air”, following rumours that he was involved in a year-long romance with an Instagram model while married to his wife.

Earlier this week, internet personality Sumner Stroh claimed in a viral TikTok post that she’d previously been involved in “an affair with a man who’s married to a Victoria’s Secret model” for a year.

In the clip, she then shared screenshots of messages which she alleged were sent to her by the Maroon 5 frontman.

On Tuesday afternoon, Adam shared a statement on his personal Instagram, which read: “A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air.

“I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed a line during regrettable period in my life.

“In certain instances, it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”

Adam has been married to model Behati Prinsloo since 2014. The pair have two daughters together, five-year-old Dusty Rose (who will turn six later this week) and four-year-old Geo Grace.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Adam and Behati were expecting their third child.

At the end of his Instagram statement, Adam concluded: “My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again.

“I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together.”

Victoria Beckham Won’t Thank Melanie C For Sharing This Hilarious Drunken Spice Girls Tale

Many of us have done stuff after one too many drinks that we’d rather forget about, so Victoria Beckham might want to look away now.

Melanie C has shared one particularly boozy memory from the Spice Girls’ early days that is the very definition of The Fear, for Victoria at least.

In her new autobiography, Who I Am, Mel recalls celebrating the day the girl group signed their record deal in the mid-90s when Victoria had one too many and ended up throwing her underwear out of a taxi window on the way to a posh London restaurant.

“By the time we arrived, the taxi was a wreck; there was lipstick, champagne and flowers all over it. Somehow, Victoria’s knickers ended up being chucked out of the window…” Mel writes.

Sporty Spice adds that their manager Simon Fuller had to pay the London cabbie £50 to cover the mess and the girls’ “terrible behaviour”.

Mel continued: “We steamed into this incredibly posh restaurant, stinking of booze and ciggies, and crashed onto the table. The other diners were not amused.

“By this point, Victoria was so drunk she pretty much fell asleep face down in her dinner. She was still knickerless!”

Mel, who was in the group alongside Victoria, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel B, also shared how Robbie Williams broke her heart after he “led” her on..

“Robbie did behave badly — he led me on and then abruptly dropped me at a time when I was incredibly vulnerable,” Mel revealed.

“I don’t have any bad feelings towards him now, but he did break my heart a bit. I was hurt and I was humiliated.

“It was somebody I had admired, and he pursued me and then treated me badly.”

Who I Am is out now.

George Alagiah Says He’s Spent A Lot Of Time ‘In Extreme Pain’ As He Opens Up About Living With Cancer

George Alagiah has said he has spent “a lot of the last 18 months in extreme pain” thanks to a “tumour site” at the base of his back.

The BBC newsreader publicly shared his stage four bowel cancer diagnosis in 2014 and is continuing to undergo gruelling treatment.

In a candid new interview with The Sunday Telegraph, George opened up about how he continues his presenting duties while living with cancer.

He detailed a tumour that is “resting very close to the spine” that doctors think has “eroded a bit of a vertebra”, and while they are not yet sure if it is the cancer, he said it causes him major discomfort.

“I’ve spent a lot of the last 18 months in extreme pain. There have been times when even lying down makes it worse,” he said.

“Sleep deprivation was an issue, but I don’t want people to think I am feeling sorry for myself.”

He added that his back pain is currently not so bad as it has been.

Asked how he manages to continue to present BBC News if he is in pain, George said: “It is incredible what adrenalin will do. It is invented by nature to get you through anything.”

He explained enjoys working, which leaves him “absolutely knackered physically”, but “mentally rejuvenated”.

“I’ve been with people who treat me as they always did, who don’t patronise me, and it is a tremendous fillip,” he said.

George said that with his chemotherapy schedule – which sees him have low doses for around three quarters of the year, and higher doses for the rest of the time – means he “quite regularly” wakes up “feeling shit”.

“I can suddenly have an energy collapse. But I’ve got amazing colleagues at the BBC who step in to my place on the rota,” he added.

The former BBC foreign correspondent, who was part of the BBC team that was awarded a Bafta in 2000 for its coverage of the Kosovo conflict, underwent treatment his advanced bowel cancer in 2014.

He returned to presenting duties in 2015 after making progress against the disease, and said he was a “richer person” for it.

His cancer returned in December 2017, and the presenter underwent further treatment before once again returning to work.

Last October, he announced a break from his role on BBC News as he dealt with “a further spread” of the disease.

Serena Williams Bids Tennis An Emotional Goodbye After Final Match

Serena Williams bid an emotional goodbye to tennis after playing what is likely to be her final professional match on Friday.

The player bowed out of the third-round of the US Open tournament after losing in three sets to Ajla Tomljanovic.

Following her previous victories against Danka Kovinic and Anett Kontaveit, her fans hoped her swansong could have a fairy-tale ending.

But, despite a memorable second-set fightback in a raucous atmosphere, there will be no record-equalling 24th grand slam singles title, with Serena succumbing to a 7-5 6-7 (4) 6-1 loss.

After missing a final forehand, Serena – who played her first professional tennis match back in 1995 – walked to the net before waving to all sides of Arthur Ashe Stadium while Simply The Best played over the loudspeakers.

Addressing the crowd through tears, she said: “Thank you so much, you guys were amazing. I tried. Thank you daddy, I know you’re watching. Thanks mom.

“I just thank everyone that’s here, that’s been on my side for so many years, literally decades, But it all started with my parents and they deserve everything so I’m really grateful for them. And I wouldn’t be Serena if there wasn’t Venus, so thank you Venus. It’s been a fun ride.”

She had previously revealed she had decided the time was right to step away.

“This week has been really great,” she said later. “Just so much support, so much love. It was really amazing and overwhelming. I am so grateful for it. The whole crowd was really wanting to push me past the line. I’m so thankful and grateful for that.”

She added: “It takes a lot of work to get here. Clearly I’m still capable. It takes a lot more than that. I’m ready to be a mom, explore a different version of Serena. Technically in the world I’m still super young, so I want to have a little bit of a life while I’m still walking.”

Former first lady Michelle Obama led tributes to her friend and her “amazing career,” on social media saying she would go on to “transform lives” with her talents.

Other famous faces including Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Hudson and Tiger Woods also hailed Serena as a “legend forever”.

Jane McDonald Opens Up About Grief Following Death Of Partner Eddie Rothe

Jane McDonald has opened up about her grief following the death of her partner Eddie Rothe.

Appearing on Kaye Adams’ How To Be 60 podcast, Jane spoke of how it had taken “a bit of adjusting” to the idea she is going to have “a different life” now that Ed is no longer here.

“I’m a lot better than when I was on Loose Women,” she said referring to a tearful appearance she made on the show in November where she publicly spoke of Ed’s death for the first time.

“I can talk about him now and just feel great that I had that amazing time with him,” she said (via The Mirror).

“And it’s funny, we should talk about retiring because he retired at 59. And said, I promise you when you get to this age, you’ll see a difference. And I have. So we had lots of plans.

“And I think that’s part of grief as well is that you go through the normal grief and the terrible, terrible time and then you grieve the life that you thought you were going to have.”

Jane – who is known for being part of the Loose Women panel on-and-off between 2004 and 2014 as well as her Channel 5 travel shows – continued: “When he died, he took our future. So I think that is, I’ve got to have a different life now. And that’s taken a bit of adjusting to, but I’ll get there. Because that’s what do, we get there.”

Eddie and Jane first dated for a few months back in the early 80s when he was the drummer in disco group Liquid Gold.

They became a couple again 26 years later when they were brought back into each other’s lives following a chance meeting at the ITV studios in 2008, where Jane was filming Loose Women and Ed was appearing on This Morning.

The pair became engaged later that year.

Elsewhere during the podcast, Jane also discussed finding out about Eddie’s diagnosis.

She said: “It’s a shock when your partner becomes ill. And it’s just a shock to your system completely. And I think it’s made me realise actually, how many summers have we got left.

“And I want to do so much. I want to go on holiday, instead of filming one. I want to you know, I want to write, I want to be creative. I want to have time in my lovely home.

“You know, and I want to be here for my family. You know, my, my niece is just about to have a baby. And we’re all very excited about that.

“And I want to be around, I want to be around for them all just for a while to like sort myself out and then stop working as much as I do. Because I work constantly.”

Elton John Remembers Princess Diana On 25th Anniversary Of Her Death

Sir Elton John has paid tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales, on the 25th anniversary of her death.

The singer was close friends with the princess prior to her death in August 1997, when she was killed in a car crash in Paris.

Elton reworked his hit song Candle In The Wind to perform at her funeral, which was subsequently released and became the biggest-selling single in UK chart history up to that date.

On Wednesday, Elton posted a picture of himself with Diana on Instagram.

“You will always be missed,” he wrote.

The pair’s friendship is said to have begun after Elton was reportedly hired to perform at Prince Andrew’s 21st birthday celebrations in 1981.

They were said to have bonded while dancing to the Charleston together on the dancefloor.

Elton and Diana went on to work together helping to raise awareness of AIDS.

In 2018, Elton praised Diana for helping to smash stigma surrounding the disease when she publicly shook hands with a patient in 1987.

“One simple handshake, one gesture showed the world the desperate need for humanity for people living with AIDS,” he said.

“She knew the disease could not be communicated by hand. Her gesture meant nobody should be left behind. She did not distinguish between ‘us’ and ‘them’.”

Speaking at a Princess of Wales memorial lecture, he added: “I like to think she would be proud and astonished if she could see the progress that has been made since she left us.”

Elton has regularly supported Diana’s sons William and Harry over the years and attended both their royal weddings alongside his husband, David Furnish.

BBC Says Jeremy Vine Breached Impartiality Guidelines With Low Traffic Neighbourhood Comments

Jeremy Vine was spoken to by BBC bosses after breaching the corporation’s impartiality guidelines when backing the introduction of a low traffic neighbourhood in an area of London.

The presenter, who hosts a topical weekday show on BBC Radio 2, had criticised campaigners who objected to the introduction of a scheme in Chiswick, near where he lives.

A complainant claimed that tweets posted by Jeremy represented “a campaign of abuse” against a “legitimate local campaigning group”.

The BBC’s executive complaints unit (EBU) said that Jeremy had “primarily been responding to posts from a Facebook group superintended by the complainant, which had been drawn to his attention by member of the group, wishing him harm and describing him in opprobrious terms”.

While the EBU said he was “entitled to object to such personal abuse and, as he did so in terms which were not themselves abusive”, the complaint was not upheld.

However, it found Jeremy – who is famously a keen cyclist – did break impartiality guidelines with some of the views he expressed in his comments, which they said were “inconsistent with the BBC’s editorial standards”.

The EBU said on its website: “The Guidance makes clear that the BBC’s standards should be observed in personal social media activity, as well as on air, by those who work in journalism and factual programming, and the topical content of Mr Vine’s programme on Radio 2 brings him within that category. The introduction of an LTN [low traffic neighbourhood] was a source of sharp controversy in Chiswick at the time in question, (mirroring controversies in other localities where LTNs have been introduced), and was the kind of topic to which considerations of due impartiality applied for the BBC.

“To the extent that Mr Vine’s Twitter activity since the relevant Guidance came into effect appeared to endorse one viewpoint on that topic and controvert another, it was inconsistent with the BBC’s editorial standards as they applied to him, and this aspect of the case was upheld.”

The EBU said the matter was discussed with Jeremy as well as being passed to the management of BBC Content.

The statement added: “For the avoidance of misunderstanding, the ECU made clear to the complainant that the finding had no bearing on any social media activity in which Mr Vine simply expressed his personal enthusiasm for cycling or called attention to its potential benefits.”

Jeremy, who also hosts a morning talk show for Channel 5, previously expressed his view that discussing cycling safety “is not a political thing”, telling the Guardian earlier this month: “If you can create safe cycling space, you have the potential to free up thousands of miles of the transport network, and cleaning up the city, making it safer.”

He added: “I think the general principle is, I can speak truthfully and from my own point of view about issues like cycling down this street, which I do every day, or road deaths. We’re not impartial about road death – it’s a bad thing, and cycle safety is a good thing, and it’s clear that the more segregated cycle lanes you have, the safer cyclists are.”

The paper noted that Jeremy also said he does not publicly endorse low-traffic neighbourhood schemes he has never seen.

Jamie Foxx Goes Full Trump With Impression That Sounds Too Real To Be True

Jamie Foxx showed why he’s a master of impressions by mimicking former President Donald Trump to a T this week.

The actor recently linked up in a podcast with rapper Snoop Dogg to talk about their upcoming movie Day Shift with Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson and Brian “B. Dot” Miller.

Snoop told the two podcast hosts about reconnecting with Michael “Harry-O” Harris, a businessman who funded Death Row Records, after Trump pardoned him in 2021.

Harris was released from prison after serving over 30 years for drug trafficking and attempted murder.

Snoop’s mention of the pardon immediately caused his movie co-star to blurt out a voice nearly identical to Trump.

“There’s a lot of great people on both sides,” Foxx spewed.

“Lots of great people on both sides. Harry-O, he’s a great person, he couldn’t vote for me at the time now he can vote for me once he gets out.”

You can watch Foxx breaking out his Trump impression below.

The actor is no stranger to impressions.

His performance as Ray Charles in the film Ray helped him take home Best Actor at the Oscars and Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globe Awards in 2005.

Behind the scenes footage from Universal Pictures shows Foxx got Charles’ “blessing” to play the late singer in a movie about his life.

The movie was enough to win over rapper Kanye West whose song Gold Digger used a sample from Charles’ I Got A Woman and an interpolation of the song by Foxx in case the sample didn’t clear, MTV reported.

You can see how Foxx got ready for his role in Ray below in videos shared by Pigeons & Planes, part of Complex Networks which is owned by the same parent company as HuffPost.

Madonna’s eldest daughter Lourdes Leon is breaking into the music scene with the release of her debut single.

On Wednesday, the 25-year-old released Lock & Key, her first ever musical offering, under the moniker Lolahol, which is presumably a nod to her long-held nickname, Lola.

The dream-like song features production from Eartheater – who also directed the accompanying music video – and was co-written by Lourdes herself.

“Why can’t I just lock into a Polly Pocket,” Lola ponders in the song’s intro. “It could all be crystal clear.

“Keep a photo of you in my locket, addicted to the comfort. Till the comforter gets too hot too hot to sleep I’m tossing and tearing.”

Interestingly, the song also appears to include a nod to Lady Gaga, when Lourdes is heard singing “no sleep, next plane, no sleep, make-up, next club, next car, next plane, no sleep, no fear”, mirroring one of the Poker Face singer’s viral interviews.

Last year, Lourdes – who has previously dabbled in dancing and modelling – gave an interview admitting that she did not see herself pursuing a music career in the same vein as her famous mum.

I can sing. I just don’t care about it,” she told Interview magazine. “Maybe it’s too close to home.”

Last week, Lourdes joined her mum and her five other siblings to celebrate the Grammy-winning star’s 64th birthday with an elaborate party in Siciliy.

She previously appeared in the music video for her mum’s song Celebration, as well as a moving video which was projected during Madonna’s performance of Frozen on her 2020 Madame X tour.

Lourdes is Madonna’s eldest child, and her father is the actor and personal trainer Carlos Leon.

Madonna has five other children: 22-year-old Rocco, whose dad is film director Guy Ritchie, 16-year-olds David and Mercy and nine-year-old twins Stella and Estere, who were born in Malawi and adopted by the Like A Prayer singer as children.
