Kate Moss Recalls ‘Horrible Experience’ Of Being Asked To Remove Her Bra At Photoshoot Aged 15

Kate Moss has recalled being the target of misconduct by a male photographer during a photoshoot when she was 15 years old.

The British model, now 48, said during an appearance on Desert Island Discs that she had “run away” from a photography session for a bra catalogue after the unnamed man asked her to be topless.

Kate, who signed to Storm modelling agency in 1988, told the BBC Radio 4 programme she would go on her own to castings across London, armed with an A to Z book.

Recounting the incident, she said: “I had a horrible experience for a bra catalogue. I was only 15 probably and he said ‘take your top off’ and I took my top off. And I was really shy then about my body.

“And he said ‘take your bra off’ and I could feel there was something wrong so I got my stuff and I ran away.

“I think it sharpened my instincts. I can tell a wrong ’un a mile away.”

The fashion icon also spoke about the 1990 shoot that made her famous, but admitted revisiting the memory was “painful”.

The late photographer Corinne Day, who Kate often worked with, shot a series of photographs of her for The Face magazine on the beach at Camber Sands, East Sussex, when she was 16.

“That scrunched up nose that is on the cover, she would say, ‘snort like a pig’ to get that picture,” Kate recalled.

“And I would be like, ‘I don’t want to snort like a pig’ and she would be like, ‘Snort like a pig, that’s when it looks good’.”

She revealed how she had “cried a lot” during the shoot because she did not feel comfortable being “naked”.

She said: “I didn’t want to take my top off. I was really, really self-conscious about my body and she would say, ‘If you don’t take your top off I am not going to book you for Elle’ and I would cry.

“It is quite difficult (to take myself back there). It is painful because she was my best friend and I really loved her – but she was a very tricky person to work with.

“But you know, the pictures are amazing so she got what she wanted and I suffered for them, but in the end they did me a world of good really. They did change my career.”

Kate also recalled shooting an underwear campaign for Calvin Klein in 1992 with the actor Mark Wahlberg, who was then known as Marky Mark.

It was her first major advertising campaign but Kate recalled taking Valium to ease her anxiety before the shoot and feeling “vulnerable and scared” when she was required to be topless during it.

Kate said she had passed lessons about the modelling industry on to her 19-year-old daughter Lila, who she manages through her agency.

“I have said to her you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do,” she said.

“If you don’t want to do this shoot, if you don’t feel comfortable, if you don’t want to model, don’t do it.

“I take care of my models. I make sure they are with agents at shoots so when they are being taken advantage of, there is someone there to say ‘I don’t think that’s appropriate’.

“I don’t know if that’s across the board but that’s what I can do.”

Desert Island Discs will be on Radio 4 at 11.15am on Sunday and on BBC Sounds.

Bruno Tonioli Speaks Out About His Decision To Leave Strictly: ‘The Schedule Was Insane’

Bruno Tonioli has spoken out about his decision to leave Strictly Come Dancing, admitting it was a “miracle” he lasted 18 years on the judging panel.

The 66-year-old Italian dancer and choreographer had been a judge since the BBC dance show launched in 2004.

In May he announced he was quitting the show for good to focus on his judging role on the US version of the show, Dancing With The Stars.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Bruno spoke candidly about his decision to leave Strictly and focus on his working commitments in America.

“There is no animosity, it was a mutual decision with both of us saying, ‘Listen, this is not going to work like it used to’,” he explained.

Bruno has held a spot on the Dancing With The Stars panel since its launch in 2005, resulting in frequent flying back and forth between the UK and the US while both shows were running.

“I just couldn’t do the flying any more,” he said.

“I don’t know how I survived that schedule. To be honest, it’s a miracle.”

He added: “I have no idea what it did to my health, don’t go there!”

Anton Du Beke was announced as Bruno’s replacement in May, following his success as a temporary replacement for him during the 2021 series as a result of Covid-19 pandemic travel restrictions.

Bruno also faced difficulties while appearing on the show in 2020, after pandemic travel uncertainty meant he could appear only via video-link to give his verdict on the performances during the Sunday night results show.

To illustrate the toll the “insane” schedule took on him, Bruno reflected on a scary moment during a live Strictly show, saying: “There was a moment in the middle of a run when I blanked.

“I did not know where I was or what I was doing.

“It only lasted a second, then I saw the audience looking at me and it all came back to me.”

He went on to explain the added stress of maintaining his flamboyant character while on air: “I’m playing a character. My accent becomes stronger, the facial expressions and body movements become bigger.”

He added: “You have to pump yourself up and keep it up for two hours. That’s so hard when you have all the added stress of the travel.”

Despite the difficulties of balancing his judging commitments, Bruno was clear that above all else Strictly had been a life-changing, positive experience. He said: “Strictly changed my life, it was like being born again.

“I was a successful choreographer but this was like going back to the beginning as a performer. I loved it.”

Bruno also spoke warmly about his successor and, reflecting on Anton Du Beke’s judging role during 2021, said: “He did a very good job because he made it his own.”

When asked if he felt in any way jealous of Anton, Tonioli said: “You don’t think like that.

“It’s like James Bond, right? You have Sean Connery and Daniel Craig but they are both still Bond.”

Paddy And Christine McGuinness Announce Split After 11 Years Of Marriage

Paddy and Christine McGuinness have publicly announced they have separated after 11 years of marriage.

In a joint statement posted on Instagram Stories, the couple revealed they had made the decision to part ways “a while ago”.

However, Paddy and Christine – who married in 2011 after four years of dating – are still living together with their three children, daughter Felicity and twins Penelope and Leo.

“We hadn’t planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify,” the Top Gear presenter and former The Real Housewives Of Cheshire cast member said, referring to recent speculation about their marriage in the tabloid press.

“A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.

“This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.

“We’ll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together.

“We hope this now draws a line under any more unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life. Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter.”

The couple met in 2007 at the Liverpool Tennis Tournament, and got married at Thornton Manor in Cheshire in June 2011.

In December, the couple, whose three children all have autism, shone a light on the condition in a BBC documentary, Our Family And Autism.

Christine subsequently received a diagnosis at the age of 33, describing it as “a huge relief” that helped her understand “why I am the way I am”.

Lorraine Kelly Planning Tattoo Tribute To Dame Deborah James

Lorraine Kelly and other friends of Dame Deborah James are planning to get matching tattoos to honour the late cancer campaigner and podcast host.

Deborah, known to her one million online followers as Bowelbabe, died last month from bowel cancer at the age of 40.

She had been a regular guest on Lorraine’s ITV show, and as the presenter discussed her friend’s funeral – which took place on Wednesday – she revealed she will be getting a permanent tribute.

“There was a whole bunch of us that said we’re going to get tattoos with Rebellious Hope on them,” Lorraine said on Thursday, referring to a phrase that became synonymous with Dame Deborah.

“I think I agreed to that! We’re just deciding where they’re going to be.”

She added: “We might have to film that, I think that’s going to happen.”

During the same segment on her show, Lorraine discussed Deborah’s funeral, which she attended.

“There were a lot of tears and there really was genuinely a lot of laughs too, so it was great,” Lorraine said.

“She planned it all and it was perfection, as you would expect.”

She continued: “I was very honoured to be there with some of our team. It was a beautiful beautiful send-off, it was so lovely and it was sad but it was also a celebration of a wonderful wonderful woman.”

Dame Deborah’s friends and family gathered to celebrate her life during an intimate service at St Mary’s Church in Barnes, west London.

Her coffin arrived in a vintage Rolls-Royce hearse with more than a dozen members of her family walking in procession behind, and it was adorned with the rose that was named after her.

TOWIE’s Yazmin Oukhellou ‘Snapped Her Arm’ To Free Herself From Fatal Car Crash

Yazmin Oukhellou has recalled “snapping” her own arm to free herself after a 70ft cliff plunge car crash that killed boyfriend Jake McLean.

The Only Way Is Essex star, 28, had spontaneously flown to Turkey to reconcile with on-off boyfriend McLean and “things were perfect” before the accident happened.

She told the Sun: “We were just tumbling for what seemed like forever. It felt like I was going round in a washing machine, just round and round.

“Then eventually it stopped and my right arm was jammed.

“The car was upside down. It had an open sunroof and my right arm was just stuck behind my back and under the folded back of the car roof.

“I tried to honk the horn with my foot and I couldn’t do.”

The reality star revealed she had severed an artery in her arm during the crash.

She said: “I could just felt my arm absolutely covered in blood. It was like I was lying in a hot bath, there was so much around me.

“At the same time I was trying to wake up Jake. I didn’t want to admit it to myself that he could be dead.

“So I thought, ’Right, I can either lay still and bleed to death, or snap my own arm to try to save us, I had no choice.

“So I somehow snapped my arm through pure adrenaline and panic. I climbed out of the car, and I was kind of holding my arm together with my left hand.

“I ran up to the top of the bank, I was screaming for help and then all of a sudden I saw a flashlight.”

Oukhellou said there was a man walking his dog who ran over, took off his top and wrapped it around her arm.

“I climbed back down and tried to check his pulse but I couldn’t feel anything and then the ambulance came.

“They were helping me. I was like, ‘Please can you just help him’ and they were like, ‘We just need to take him to another hospital’.

“I think they knew, but for me even now I still feel like it’s not real. I still feel like I’m just waiting to wake up from a nightmare and it’s just something that never happens,” she said.

Oukhellou explained she had spent the night at a club with friends in the tourist resort of Bodrum before the couple had decided to drive to a friend’s villa “high up in the mountains”.

She added: “I nodded off in the car. I was asleep and woke up to the car going off the cliff.

“Now I know that if I wasn’t asleep I probably wouldn’t have survived because the doctor said that meant my body was more relaxed.

“I severed an artery and a nerve, that’s why I bled so much. The doctors called me an angel, a miracle, because it’s a notorious spot and people have never survived.

“Now I’m just wondering how the hell did my partner die while I’ve survived? It’s made me look at life totally differently.

“I am definitely going to need therapy for a while, and I’m going to try some in-patient treatment too. I know this will live with me forever, I need to take it slowly.”

Nicola Adams And Partner Ella Baig Welcome First Child

Nicola Adams and her girlfriend Ella Baig have welcomed their first child.

The couple previously announced they were expecting a baby boy, and said they “felt and instant love and the strongest bond” after his arrival.

On Monday, the Olympic boxer posted a photo of her and Ella in the delivery room and a picture of their son’s feet.

Nicola wrote: “We are so excited to announce to the world that baby adams has arrived. The first moment we laid eyes on you we felt an instant love and the strongest bond.

“We went to the moon and back to get you and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives watching you grow.”

The pair began dating after meeting on a night out in the Olympian’s hometown of Leeds.

In addition to her illustrious boxing career, Nicola made TV history in 2020 when she became the first celebrity to compete in Strictly Come Dancing as part of a same-sex pairing.

Unfortunately, she and Katya Jones had their Strictly journey cut short when the professional dancer tested positive for Covid.

Lauren Goodger Announces Tragic Death Of Her Newborn Daughter Lorena

Reality star Lauren Goodger has announced the tragic death of her newborn baby girl Lorena.

On Sunday morning, the former The Only Way Is Essex cast member shared the devastating news that her daughter had died two days earlier.

“Lorena… R.I.P 08.07.22,” Lauren wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of herself holding the newborn’s hand. “She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister [Larose, Lauren’s daughter who turns one this month].

“Words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth to for my angel to be taken from me.

“There was no pregnancy or labour complications, and she was fine and healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself. She was perfect.

“I can’t understand it, she is so so beautiful, Larose’s twin, so similar… I am broken.”

Asking for privacy from the media, Lauren added: “I just need this time with my baby girl Larose, she is my rock that’s getting me through this or I wouldn’t survive.

“I will never ever get over this but I will learn how to live everyday with Lorena in my heart. She will be with me always and I will be with her again one day… my [angel] Lorena I love you so much.”

Lauren initially rose to fame as part of the original cast of The Only Way Is Essex, and subsequently made appearances on Dancing On Ice, Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating.

She is already a mum to Larose, born in July 2021, whose father is Charles Drury, a builder, amateur footballer and model.

Last week, Lauren paid tribute following the death of her ex-fiancé Jake McLean , who died after being involved in a car accident in Turkey.

Paul Rudd Proves Once Again He’s A Real-Life Superhero With Sweet Gesture For 12-Year-Old Fan

As if we needed one more reason to love Paul Rudd

The Ant-Man star has once again revealed himself to be a real-life superhero after stepping in to do a good deed for a 12-year-old fan who was being bullied at school.

Earlier in the year, a mother in Paul’s hometown of Westminster, Colorado shared a Facebook post revealing that her son’s middle school classmates had refused to sign his yearbook.

After catching wind that Ant-Man was the boy’s favourite superhero, he stepped in to cheer him up.

Not only did he treat him to a FaceTime call, he also sent him a handwritten note and a signed helmet belonging to his Marvel alter-ego.

Following their call, Paul wrote: “Dear Brody, it was great talking to you the other day.

“It’s important to remember that even when life is tough that things get better. There are so many people that love you and think you’re the coolest kid there is – me being one of them! I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’re going to accomplish.”

The Clueless star signed off the message: “Your pal, Paul.”

He also wrote on his Ant-Man helmet: “To my good friend Brody for when he takes on the world!”

Needless to say, when the story began doing the rounds on Twitter, people were full of praise for the already-popular star…

Paul began playing Scott Lang, the secret identity of superhero Ant-Man, in 2015, and has since reprised the role on a number of occasions, most recently in the epic Avengers: Endgame.

He’ll next be donning his superhero garb in Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, which is slated for release next year.

Kim Kardashian Reveals Met Gala Diet Led To ‘Really Painful’ Psoriasis Flare-Up

Kim Kardashian has revealed that her dramatic change in diet in order to lose weight for this year’s Met Gala came with “really painful” side effects.

Back in May, the reality star and aspiring barrister received a wave of backlash when she revealed she’d lost 16 pounds in the space of three weeks in order to fit in one of Marilyn Monroe’s most iconic dresses on the Met Ball’s red carpet.

In a new interview with Allure magazine, Kim disclosed that part of the regime included ditching her usual plant-based diet and eating meat, which she said caused her to have a psoriasis flare-up.

“Psoriasis broke out over my body and I got psoriatic arthritis so I couldn’t really move my hands,” she told the magazine.

“It was really painful, and I had to go to a rheumatologist who put me on a steroid. I was freaking out.”

She added that she’s now “cut out the meat again”, claiming this has led her condition to “calm down”.

Last month, Kim responded to criticism about her weight loss comments, saying: “To me it was like, ‘OK, Christian Bale can do it for a movie role and that is acceptable.’ Even Renée Zellweger gained weight for a role. It’s all the same to me.

“I wasn’t saying, ‘Hey everyone, why don’t you go lose this weight in a short period of time?’”

Elaborating on this in her new Allure interview, Kim added: “If I was starving and doing it really unhealthy, I would say that, of course, that’s not a good message.

“But I had a nutritionist, I had a trainer. I have never drunk more water in my life. I don’t see the criticism for other people when they lost weight for roles — they are [considered] geniuses for their craft.

“There are so many things out there that are so not accurate and not true. I think I’ve always just been the underdog.”

Kim’s decision to wear an old dress of Marilyn’s to the Met Gala proved seriously divisive.

Although she switched into a replica gown immediately after the red carpet, she has since been forced to hit back at claims that she damaged the dress by wearing it to the Met Ball.

The dress in question was worn by the Hollywood legend in 1962, when she sang Happy Birthday to US president John F Kennedy.
