Bella Ramsey Has A Blunt Message For The Last Of Us Haters Who Criticised The Show

Bella Ramsey has a message for The Last Of Us haters who slammed the latest season of the hit US drama.

“You don’t have to watch,” the British actor said while appearing on the podcast The Awardist earlier this month.

“If you hate it that much, the game exists. You can just play the game again. If you do want to watch it, hope you enjoy it.”

Bella went on to explain that because the “show is [already] out”, they don’t stress over the critics and avoid “reading or looking at anything” negative about the series.

“There’s nothing I can do about it anyway,” they pointed out. “The show is out. There’s nothing that can be changed or altered. So I’m like, there’s not really any point in reading or looking at anything.”

Noting that “people are of course entitled to their opinions,” Bella added: “But it doesn’t affect the show, it doesn’t affect how the show continues or anything in any way. They’re very separate things to me. So no, I just don’t really engage.”

Some fans criticised The Last Of Us after Pedro Pascal’s character Joel was killed off in season two. Though some details of his death were altered in the show’s adaptation, his brutal death aligns with Joel’s fate in the video game The Last Of Us Part II.

Meanwhile, other fans have focused on the differences in physical appearance between Bella and their character, compared to how Ellie is depicted in the video game series.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in April, bella admitted that they became “quite fixated” on the differences in Ellie’s appearance and their own, but that the show’s co-creator Craig Mazin soothed their concerns.

“I got quite fixated on the way that Ellie looks in the game and her physical stature and, to be specific, the muscle definition in her arms. And I didn’t look like that. My body type isn’t that,” Bella shared.

They continued: “I talked about this a lot with Craig, and he never put that expectation on me. He wanted me to look strong and feel strong, and that was in how I carried myself, my posture and the confidence you have. It was a challenge for me to let myself off the hook for not looking computer-generated.”

A premiere date for the third season of the post-apocalyptic series, which first aired in 2023, has not yet been announced. The show was renewed for a third season in April.

Wednesday Actor Shocks Co-Stars By Using 1 Savage Word To Describe Jennifer Lopez

Luis Guzmán was not exactly channeling the smooth-talking Gomez Addams when asked about working with Jennifer Lopez.

The stars of the Netflix hit Wednesday appeared on Monday’s episode of Hot Ones Versus, in which each cast member takes turns asking their co-stars probing questions, and if they mess up, they have to consume an incredibly spicy chicken wing.

Nearly 10 minutes into the episode, Luis was asked to describe some of the A-list celebrities he’s worked with throughout his impressive 40-year acting career in just one word.

The first up was Adam Sandler, who worked with Luis in 2002’s Punch-Drunk Love and 2003’s Anger Management, and earned the moniker “amazing”.

Next up was Catherine Zeta-Jones, who currently plays Gomez’s wife, Morticia Addams, in Wednesday.

“Belíssima,” Luis said of the Welsh performer, with whom he previously appeared in Traffic.

Then, he was asked about Jennifer Lopez, who worked with him in 1998’s Out Of Sight.

“OK,” Luis smirked — causing many of his co-stars’ jaws to drop.

The same year Jen starred in Out Of Sight, she also shared her own unfiltered opinions about other celebrities in an interview with Movieline.

“I swear to God, I don’t remember anything she was in,” she said of Gwyneth Paltrow, who would go on to win Best Actress the next year at the Oscars.

In the same interview, J-Lo called Cameron Diaz a “lucky model”, claimed she was “never a big fan” of Winona Ryder, though she praised both women’s looks, and she said that she and Salma Hayek were “in two different realms”.

When Vanity Fair confronted Lopez in 2011 about trash-talking other actors to Movieline, the Hustlers star said she had been “misquoted”.

“I was so misquoted and so taken out of context, and it’s a sore subject for me,” she insisted. “I don’t like to hurt anybody. I don’t like to hurt their feelings. I like to joke, so I do that sometimes.

“What they wrote in that article hurt people. [After reading it,] I just sat down and cried for hours.”

Sabrina Carpenter Channels Rocky Horror In Her Most Iconic (And Outrageous) Video To Date

Sabrina Carpenter is certainly holding onto her position as one of her generation’s most exciting music video artists.

While past clips for her songs Taste and Please Please Please have seen her paying homage to Death Becomes Her and channelling Bonnie and Clyde, her latest effort sees her sending a defiant message to critics of her more sexualised offerings with a tribute to The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

And, as with the aforementioned Taste and Please Please Please videos, the newest addition to her oeuvre also features an impressive A-list guest.

On Friday morning, to coincide with the release of her already-controversial new album Man’s Best Friend, Sabrina unveiled the music video for the collection’s second track Tears.

In the clip, she’s joined by two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo, who plays the Frank-N-Furter to her Janet.

As with Rocky Horror, the video opens with Sabrina dressed demurely, before she encounters Colman’s mysterious character, and finds herself in increasingly surreal (and, indeed, racy) scenarios, culminating in her putting her own spin on some of the cult film’s most iconic scenes.

Meanwhile, as you may have come to expect from the performer of songs like Juno and Bed Chem, the lyrics feature some pretty suggestive double entendres.

The song features Sabrina singing about how arousing she finds it when a man does simple things like showing “a little initiative”, “remembering I have feelings”, knowing how to “assemble a chair from IKEA” and even offering to “just do the dishes”.

“I get wet at the thought of you being a responsible guy,” she croons over the chorus. “Treating me like you’re supposed to do, tears run down my thighs.”

Sabrina recently shut down critics of her more racy lyrics during an interview with Gayle King for Friday’s edition of CBS Mornings.

Bruce Willis’ Wife Admits Moving The Actor Was One Of The ‘Hardest Decisions’ She’s Ever Made

Bruce Willis is living in a second, “safer” home away from his wife and kids to be with his caregivers 24/7, his wife told US broadcaster Diane Sawyer in a recent interview.

“It was one of the hardest decisions that I’ve had to make so far,” Emma Heming Willis said during the interview. “But I knew first and foremost, Bruce would want that for our daughters. He would want them to be in a home that was more tailored to their needs, not his needs.”

Bruce and Emma share daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, while he and his ex-wife, fellow actor Demi Moore, share daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31.

In 2022, Bruce’s family, including Demi, issued a joint statement announcing that he was living with aphasia, which affects one’s ability to communicate, and that he would retire from acting.

The next year, the family said Bruce had been diagnosed with dementia. In the ABC News special with Diane Sawyer, Emma gave an inside look at her husband’s experience with the disease, saying she moved him into a “safer” one-story home so he could be with his caregivers all the time.

She said she visits him at the second home every morning for breakfast and every night.

“It is a house that is filled with love and warmth and care and laughter,” Emma said.

Bruce has frontotemporal dementia, which causes a person to lose their words. The 70-year-old is still walking and seemingly unaware of his diagnosis, his wife said.

She claimed: “Bruce is in really great health overall. It’s just his brain that is failing him.

“The language is going, and we’ve learned to adapt. And we have a way of communicating with him, which is just a different way.”

Emma said that she first started noticing a difference in Bruce when he became quieter and would “melt a little bit” when the family got together.

She said he stopped wanting to take their two daughters to school, and then his childhood stutter returned. Emma said she had found the experience “alarming and scary”.

When doctors diagnosed Bruce with frontotemporal dementia a few years ago and told Emma there was no cure, she was “panicked.”

“I just remember hearing it and just not hearing anything else,” she said.

She shared that she now struggles to remember what the actor was like before his diagnosis.

“It’s also even really hard for me today to go back in time to remember even the fun, because I’m so caught up in today, of what today looks like and walking this journey with him today, that I can’t remember,” she said. “I just have a really hard time remembering who he was.”

But she said she still sees moments of the old Bruce.

“It’s his laugh, right? Like, he has such a hearty laugh,” she said. “And, you know, sometimes you’ll see that twinkle in his eye, or that smirk, and, you know, I just get transported.”

Emma wrote the book The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope And Yourself On The Caregiving Path about caring for Bruce, which she said she hopes can give other caregivers a roadmap.

Eminem wanted MAGA to snap back to reality years ago – but defectors have been slim despite their leader being shady.

And this may be precisely why an old video of the rapper pointing out one of the most perplexing things about MAGA’s loyalty to Donald Trump has resurfaced on numerous social media platforms in the last few days.

In December 2017 – about a year into Trump’s first term – Complex asked Eminem, whose legal name is Marshall Mathers, what most bothers him “about America right now”.

“Obviously Trump,” the 8 Mile star responded.

After initially blurting out that answer, Eminem admitted he wasn’t quite “sure how” to articulate what was bothering him about some Americans’ relationship with the failed real estate mogul and former reality TV star, but he eventually found the words.

“It’s so bizarre watching him play to his base that thinks that he cares about them and it’s actually the people that he cares about the fucking least,” Eminem said.

He continued: “If you’re talking about his core being a majority white middle class people, what I don’t understand is how in the fuck do you feel like you relate to a billionaire who has never known struggle his entire fucking life?”

“Who dodged the draft because he had bone spurs in his fucking foot?” Eminem added after the above clip cuts out. “You feel like this is the guy that’s gonna fight for you? He’s already proven with the tax break that he’s not. That’s not benefiting the middle class. I will say this, he talks a good one.”

And although the Lose Yourself rapper expressed some optimism at the time about his base “shrinking” once MAGA got “woke” to “what the fuck is going on” — obviously they didn’t, since Trump was elected to a second term in 2024.

Considering that MAGA’s cognitive dissonance is still strong today, many folks shared the clip on X, Reddit and Facebook on Wednesday. Plenty of users agreed with the Detroit-born performer and shared their frustrations with other celebrities not speaking out.

Rylan Clark has responded to the criticism he’s faced since his comments about immigration on Wednesday’s edition of This Morning.

The former X Factor star wrongly claimed that asylum seekers entering the UK are each given free phones and iPads and put up on “four star” hotels.

He has been guest hosting This Morning all week alongside Josie Gibson, and during the most recent broadcast, chaired a discussion about the day’s headlines with former Apprentice winner Tim Armstrong and GB News presenter Camilla Tominey.

When the conversation turned to immigration, and Nigel Farage’s polarising “mass deportation” plan, Rylan wound up facing a widespread controversy with his comments on the matter.

He began: “This country is built on immigration – legal immigration. You know, a lot of the nurses and the doctors that have saved my mum’s life have come over here from other countries, are living a great life, they’re paying into this tax system and they’re helping this country thrive.”

Rylan continued: “I find it absolutely insane that all these people are risking their lives coming across the Channel like they are, and when they get here, it does seem – and I think this is why a lot of Labour voters as well are now sitting there going, ‘there’s something wrong here’ – it seems, ‘welcome, come on in’.

“This is the narrative we’re being fed. ‘Here’s the hotel, here’s the phone, here’s the iPad, here’s the NHS in reception of your hotel, here’s three meals a day, here’s a games room in the hotel, have a lovely time, welcome’. And then there’s people that have lived here all their lives, that are struggling. Our homeless, let’s not even discuss our homeless, there are people living on the streets, veterans, all of this.

“Now, this isn’t me getting on my soapbox because, let me be honest, everyone’s going to have an opinion about this and you’re going to upset someone some which way, but I believe that something major needs to be done about this.

“The money that it’s costing us, the amount of people that are in this country that we have no idea who they are, what they’ve done, what they’re capable of, and clearly, we see a lot of it in the press at the moment, some of what some are doing – not all – to people in this country… how can, if I turn up at Heathrow airport, if I turn up as a British citizen and I’ve left my passport in Spain, I’ve got to stand at that airport and won’t be let in… but if I arrive on a boat [from] Calais, I get taken to a four-star hotel?”

This is where the country goes to the dogs.

Rylan is allowed to say plainly untrue statements on a national news show with literally no pushback.

As Rylan’s comments became more widespread, he faced further backlash from critics on social media accusing him of parroting rhetoric popularised by Farage and his political party Reform, sharing mistruths about those seeking asylum in the UK and not being fully educated on the sensitive subject he was discussing.

Among those supporting him on social media was far-right activist Tommy Robinson.

Posting on X later that day, Rylan wrote: “You can be pro immigration and against illegal routes. You can support trans people and have the utmost respect for women. You can be heterosexual and still support gay rights. The list continues.

“Stop with this putting everyone in a box exercise and maybe have conversations instead of shouting on Twitter.”
