I’m A Celebrity: Boy George Dons Lion Mask As He Arrives In Australia Ahead Of Jungle Stint

Boy George looked the cat’s whiskers as he arrived in Australia ahead of his appearance on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The legendary Culture Club singer dubbed himself the ‘Lion Queen’ as he walked through Brisbane airport wearing a huge lion mask.

Despite his attempts to go incognito, the singer’s hand tattoos gave him away as he made his way to his car.

When asked by reporters at the airport if he was heading to the jungle, the 61-year-old said: “I’m here to do a version of the Lion Queen.”

Asked if the mask will be staying on inside the camp, he said: “Let’s hope so.”

When the vegan star was pushed on whether he would eat any creepy crawlies in the jungle or if he was simply a “vegan lion”, he added: “I’m a Lion Queen, I have told you,” before adding: “I love all creatures.”

The Karma Chameleon singer is the latest star to arrive Down Under ahead of this year’s I’m A Celeb, which kicks off on ITV on Sunday 6 November.

Earlier this week, the show’s hosts Ant and Dec shared their reactions to the cast for the forthcoming series.

In a video clip posted on the pair’s social pages, the presenters discover which stars will be heading into the Australian jungle next week.

The Geordie duo, who have hosted the ITV reality show since 2004, exude a mixture of shock, excitement and approval as they find out the campmates’ identities – although these details are kept secret from fans.

Dec said of one celebrity: “She’s fun and feisty,” adding about another: “She would hate every minute of it.”

Meanwhile, Ant said: “We knew we’d get you on there one of these days,” with Dec adding: “We saw him and he never let on. Sneaky boy.”

Speaking of another male celebrity, Ant added: “Now I can’t believe we’ve got him. You don’t know what you’ve let yourself in for my friend.”

As well as George, a number of other celebrities have already touched down in Australia.

The first to arrive on Tuesday were former Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Chris Moyles and Love Island star Olivia Attwood.

They were then followed by Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner on Wednesday.

Loose Women anchor Charlene White and the Lionesses’ Jill Scott were spotted on Thursday, while comedian and Celebrity Gogglebox star Babatunde Aleshe arrived on Friday.

Among those also rumoured to be taking part in the series are former England rugby player Mike Tindall, comedian Seann Walsh and property presenter Scarlette Douglas.

This year’s celebrities will live together in the Australian outback, after the show relocated to Gwrych Castle in Wales for the last two series due to Covid travel restrictions.

ITV has officially announced this year’s series is earlier than previous years as bosses are avoiding the show clashing with World Cup, which kicks off at the end of next month.

Taylor Swift Recalls ‘Nightmare’ Film Audition Alongside Eddie Redmayne

Taylor Swift has recounted a “nightmare” audition she had for the film adaption of Les Miserables opposite Eddie Redmayne.

The singer spoke about the screen test for Tom Hooper’s 2012 version of the musical as she appeared alongside Eddie on Friday’s edition of The Graham Norton Show.

Taylor, who did ultimately not land a part in the film, joked the audition became hellish after she was made to look “like death”.

She recalled: “Basically I was up for two roles – I had the look of Cosette and the range vocally of Eponine, so it was established I was there for a good time but not for a long time, I wasn’t going to get the role.

“But they asked if I would like to go to London to do a screen test with Eddie, who is one of my favourite actors, and I thought ‘This isn’t an experience I am going to get again in my life’, so I said yes.

“When I got there they put me in full 19th century street urchin costume and told me they were going to paint my teeth brown and I was like, ‘You are going to do that after I meet Eddie Redmayne, right?’

“But no, they made me look like death and it became a nightmare. When I met Eddie I didn’t open my mouth to speak!”

Eddie, who was cast to play Marius Pontmercy in Les Miserables added: “I thought we would just be singing off each other – I didn’t know we would be in each other’s arms.

“My overriding memory of it is that I had had pizza and garlic dough balls beforehand and all I could think about was my garlic breath while Taylor was dying in my arms and I was trying to show emotion.”

I’d Do Anything star Samantha Barks ultimately landed the role of Eponine in the film, with Hollywood star Anne Hathaway playing Fantine and Mamma Mia! actress Amanda Seyfried playing Cosette alongside Hugh Jackman’s Jean Valjean.

The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC One on Friday at 10.40pm.

Matthew Perry Reveals He Crushed ‘Badly’ On Jennifer Aniston During Early Friends Days

Matthew Perry has revealed he harboured a secret crush on Jennifer Aniston during their early years on Friends.

The Chandler Bing actor said things became “awkward” between him and his co-star while filming the hit sitcom because he “badly” fancied her.

Matthew admitted his crush started three years prior to being cast on Friends when they met through mutual acquaintances.

He said he even asked Jennifer out at the time, but she turned him down.

Writing in his new memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, which is being serialised in The Times and The Sun, Matthew said he was “immediately taken” by Jennifer when they first met.

He said (via The Times): “I got the sense she was intrigued too – maybe it was going to be something. Back then I got two jobs in one day – one was Haywire, an America’s Funniest Home Videos-type show, and the other was a sitcom. So I called Jennifer and I said, ‘You’re the first person I wanted to tell this to.’

“Bad idea. I could feel ice forming through the phone.”

He continued: “Looking back, it was clear that this made her think I liked her too much or in the wrong kind of way… and I only compounded the error by then asking her out. She declined (which made it very difficult to actually go out with her), but said that she’d love to be friends with me, and I compounded the compound by blurting, “We can’t be friends!’”

After they were later cast as Chandler and Rachel in Friends together, Matthew said that even though he was “still attracted” to Jennifer, they “were able to sail right past the past” and focus on their jobs.

However, things then changed as filming went on, with Matthew continuing: “Fairly early in the making of Friends I realised that I was still crushing badly on Jennifer Aniston. Our hellos and goodbyes became awkward. And then I’d ask myself, how long can I look at her? Is three seconds too long?

“But that shadow disappeared in the hot glow of the show. (That, and her deafening lack of interest.)”

Matthew and Jennifer maintained a close bond, and she also once confronted him about his struggles with alcohol, with Matthew revealing she was the Friends cast member who “reached out the most”.

“I’m really grateful to her for that,” he said in an upcoming US TV interview.

Last year, Matthew and Jennifer came together with the rest of the main Friends cast for the much-hyped one-off reunion special, in which it was revealed she and David Schwimmer came close to being a real-life couple amid the romance between their characters Ross and Rachel.

Stormzy Reflects On Maya Jama Split, Calling It ‘Biggest Loss’

Stormzy has opened up about his split from Maya Jama, admitting it was his “catalyst for growth as a man”.

The former couple split after four years together in 2019 with various headlines subsequently surrounding their break-up.

In a new interview with Louis Theroux (via The Sun), Stormzy said the split came after he made a “mistake”.

“My break-up, that was probably the biggest catalyst for growth as a man,” he said. “It was like, OK, you made a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared for, someone who is special to you.

“That’s probably the biggest loss a man can have, isn’t it? Away from someone passing away, that’s the biggest loss you can have.

“The whole f****** palaver that surrounded that situation, do you know what I mean? There were other things in terms of mistakes I’d made.

“I didn’t do what a man should do to fully appreciate love, and care for his woman,” added Stormzy, who has always denied any infidelity.

Stormzy continued: “Long story short, I learned that if I don’t want to feel like
that again, and if I believe that God will bless me again with an amazing woman and a family and marriage and all of that kind of thing, I have to do all the necessary work to never be in that situation again.

“I do want a family of my own and I want to get married and I want to settle.”

The grime star added that he has found it difficult to find love again due to interest in his dates.

“Any time I’ve had a date we’ve got to go through a back door at the
restaurant, otherwise people are going to blow up the poor girl’s life,” he said.

“I’m still trying to work out the solution. I’ll just wait for God to present me with my situation with my woman. I’m all out of ideas.”

Stormzy and Maya started dating in January 2015 after first meeting in October 2014.

Tom Felton Details Relationship With ‘Brother’ Daniel Radcliffe And Addresses Harry And Draco Fan Theory

Tom Felton has opened up about his relationship with his “brother” and former Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe.

The Draco Malfoy actor has said he always have a close bond with Daniel and praised him for “always being collaborative” on the set of the film franchise, which they first joined as children.

Speaking on US TV’s CBS Mornings, Tom gushed: “I love the man dearly.

“I don’t see him as much as I’d like to — that’s the same for all of us, really. But I consider him a brother, definitely. Huge amounts of respect for him.”

Tom went on to praise the way Daniel “brings a certain energy to any room that he’s in”.

He continued: “But it was important to me, looking back, how important his enthusiasm and his eventual professionalism runs down the ranks, if you will.

“He could’ve very much easily, I think, coasted a lot of those years. And it seemed to me, on set with him, that he was always up for bringing as much as he can to the table, always being collaborative.

“And I think he learned that the same way that I did: from the other chaps around us.”

Tom also admitted he agrees with fans who have theorised that Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy “could be” two sides of the same coin.

He said: “You have one boy who has no parents, no money, no status, but he has everything that is good with the world: He has love and compassion and friends and truth and honesty.“And the other side is the slightly darker one, very powerful parents, lots of money, big house, all the toys, but also a bully and someone that can’t find a way of expressing his light, because he hasn’t been shown any his entire life.

“These are broad sweeps of the brush, but I think it’s fairly true.”

Fellow Harry Potter star Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger, recently hailed Tom as her “soulmate” and admitted she struggles to explain their relationship to people.

Writing the foreword for Tom’s new book, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard, Emma said: “Like Tom, I always struggle to explain to people the nature of our connection and relationship.

“For more than 20 years now we’ve loved each other in a special way, and I’ve lost count of the times that people have said to me, ‘You must have drunkenly made out, just once!’ ‘You must have kissed!’ ‘There must be something!’

“But what we have is far deeper than that. It’s one of the purest loves I can think of. We’re soulmates, and we’ve always had each other’s backs. I know we always will.”

Lizzo told a Canadian crowd on Friday that she’s minding her “fat Black beautiful business” following Kanye West’s comments about her weight in a bizarre Fox News interview with Tucker Carlson.

Matt Goss Responds To Rumours Of A ‘Feud’ With Strictly Dance Partner Nadiya Bychkova

Matt Goss has shut down rumours that he has been feuding with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Nadiya Bychkova.

After their first performance on last week’s show, some fans speculated that the pair weren’t getting along after Matt pulled Nadiya into a shot while chatting to host Claudia Winkleman.

However, in an interview with Metro.co.uk, the singer branded the rumours “bollocks”.

“First of all, I couldn’t enjoy my partner’s company more actually. She is just such a cool person. It’s all a load of bollocks,” he said.

“And to be quite honest with you, If she’s my partner, and I’m told to stand there, as a gentleman I will always make sure that she’s beside me – I’m not going to let stand behind some dark disco ball.

“I’m going to pull her in so she’s with me like every other couple but it is a load of bollocks and, as a gentleman. I’m going to make sure she’s next to me.”

Matt and Nadiya aren’t the only pairing from this year’s Strictly who have been at the centre of ’feud’ rumours.

Earlier this week, professional Giovanni Pernice shut down reports in the press claiming that he and his dance partner Richie Anderson aren’t getting along when the pair appeared on It Takes Two.

When host Janette Manrara asked Giovanni whether the pair were “having the best time in rehearsals”, the Italian dancer insisted: “We’re having a good time.

“Obviously it’s a dance competition at the end of the day, so we have to learn something,” he continued, before saying directly into the camera: “But there is no problem between us.

“We are having a good time! So forget about what you’re reading, it’s not true.”

David Beckham’s Favourite Meal Includes Pineapple And Baked Beans On The Same Plate And People Have Thoughts

We’ve all got our favourite meals from childhood, but David Beckham’s go-to dinner has divided fans after he shared a snap of it online.

While his wife Victoria sticks to grilled fish and steamed vegetables, which David recently revealed she had eaten for the last 25 years, the same can’t be said for her husband.

The former footballer has revealed one of his favourite meals includes pineapple and baked beans on the same plate.

Sharing a pic of the meal on Instagram, Becks captioned it: “Last night’s feast one of my favourites growing up. Thanks mum. Gammon, chips, fried egg, tinned pineapple, peas & baked beans, coleslaw.”

People had thoughts…

“Pineapple does not belong on a main meal,” one fan commented.

A second wrote: “Coleslaw and mushy peas? Has everyone gone berserk?”

But others thought the opposite. “Perfectly acceptable dinner. Egg goes well with gammon, coleslaw with pineapple, chips with peas,” another fan wrote.

Speaking to the River Cafe Table 4 podcast earlier this year, David admitted that he gets “emotional” about food and wine, unlike his wife.

“When I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it,” he said.

“Unfortunately I’m married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years. Since I met Victoria, she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate away from there.”

David continued: “The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing. It was one of my favourite evenings. I can’t remember what it was but I know she’s not eaten it since.”

Appearing on the same podcast last year, Victoria revealed her go-to comfort food, and it sounded, well, anything but.

“This is where I sound even more boring in the food department,” she said.

“I like whole grain toast with salt on it. It’s that carbohydrate that makes you feel comforted and I love salt.”
