Kim Kardashian Explains Her ‘Issue’ With Walking At The Met Gala, And It All Makes Sense Now

At this year’s bash, the reality star appeared to have trouble walking ― and breathing ― in her custom Maison Margiela Artisanal gown by John Galliano, which Kim basically confirmed in a video with Vogue.

The Skims founder called breathing in her corset “an art form” but said she had a handle on it in the video, released days after the event.

Walking proved to be another “issue,” and for good reason. Kim explained that she wore shoes without a heel to make sure her look stayed intact, though it did make it more of a challenge to get up the Met Gala stairs.

“It’s clever because if I had a shoe with a heel, the heel gets stuck in the metal skirt. And so that was our issue with walking,” the American Horror Story star explained while holding up the acrylic, heel-less platforms for the camera.

“To wear these, you’re on your tiptoes and you’re balancing the whole time flexing your calf muscles,” Kim said. “So that’s what I’m gonna have to do ― is stand on my tippy toes. “I think ballerinas do it, and they probably have a lot of practice. This is our only practice, but we’ll do it.”

“I think we really need the height on this look, so we gotta do what we gotta do,” she added.

Kim was right about the “we”, as she wound up making it up the stairs with the help of two assistants.

If Kim wants to pivot to a more comfortable look next year, she can try Bad Bunny’s black-and-white Bolero shoes, which resembled hooves.

When you think of the Met Gala, a few words spring immediately to mind. Lavish. Decadent. Exclusive. Luxurious.

So, what organisers probably don’t want is for people to see the event and immediately be put in mind of a certain jungle-themed family-friendly restaurant chain that we all briefly loved in the mid-1990s.

On Monday night, the Met Ball was held in New York, with this year’s theme being “The Garden Of Time”.

To help get the stars on the guestlist in the mood, the event was decked out in shrubbery and flowers, with the traditional red carpet being ditched in favour of a green one to match the night’s theme.

However, before the A-listers had even begun making their way into the event, many people over on X (formerly Twitter) couldn’t help but notice that the event was kiiiind of giving Rainforest Café…

Every year, the Met Gala takes place on the first Monday in May with money raised from the event going towards the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute.

Alongside Anna Wintour, this year’s event was co-chaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth and Bad Bunny, while Ariana Grande was the night’s musical act, performing a string of her own hits as well as a cover of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey’s When You Believe with her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo.

Chris Hemsworth Makes Rare Comment About Brother Liam’s Relationship With Miley Cyrus

If Thor is going to say something publicly about a family member’s private life, he’s going to keep it Loki.

Chris Hemsworth made a rare remark about his brother, Liam Hemsworth, and his rollercoaster romance with Miley Cyrus on a new episode of Vanity Fair’s lie detector series.

During the interview, the Avengers alum was asked if he was upset that his brother got the leading role in The Last Song instead of him.

The question was a loaded one, being that Miley and Liam met and quickly began dating on the set of the 2010 film — which led to an on-and-off relationship that spanned about a decade.

In response to the question, the Thor: Ragnarok star was quick to say “no” — but couldn’t help but make a crack about how much of an impact that movie had on his brother.

“The world — Liam’s life would’ve been very different without The Last Song, right?” Chris quipped.

Miley and the Hunger Games alum first began dating in 2009. The two got engaged for the first time in 2012, when she was just 19 and Liam was 22.

They then split in 2013 before eventually rekindling things in 2016. The couple announced they were engaged for a second time later that year, and tied the knot in December 2018. By August 2019, the two had split for good.

It is speculated that Miley’s 2023 hit Flowers was about the joy of being single after her long romance with her ex-husband.

Chris’ joke about his brother’s love life wasn’t the only time his famous sibling was mentioned during his Vanity Fair interview.

The Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star also revealed that his brother was cast as Thor in the MCU before him, and that initially he was “a little jealous, maybe”.

“Then when I was allowed to re-audition, it was when he was out of the picture,” Chris said.

“So we were never neck-and-neck. It was either, I was involved and he wasn’t, or he was involved then wasn’t. Then I was involved.”

Frankly, we’re surprised Millie Bobby Brown didn’t just dump his ass.

In a recent BBC Radio 1 interview that went viral this week, the British star shared that she just discovered a brand new “ick” — or a turnoff — thanks to her fiancé, model Jake Bongiovi.

“This morning I was on a flight with my fiancé, and he got a nosebleed,” she said. “And I got the ick.”

While explaining why she found this so unappealing, she cleverly referred to her famous Stranger Things character, Eleven, who gets nosebleeds when she uses her telekinetic and telepathic abilities.

“Do you know why? One, because he just got a nosebleed at the most inconvenient time,” she said. “We just landed. The seat belt sign was still on. ’He’s doing an Eleven’. I’m like, ‘Calm down.’

“Two, he’s acting as if it’s painful, and I’m like, ‘It’s not painful’.”

This is not the first time that Millie has discussed her personal icks — and there seem to be quite a few things that she finds unsavoury.

Earlier in the BBC Radio 1 interview, she said that men holding umbrellas give her the ick.

“There’s something about it that just feels really pathetic,” she explained. “I tried to get on board with it. I did try.”

Millie also told Glamour last year that she finds the act of taking photos of food “cringe.”

“I do not take pictures of my meals. That is where I draw the line,” she told the magazine at the time.

“My camera does not eat first. I think it’s just ridiculous. Put your phone down, eat your meal. … Never have I ever taken a picture of my food or drink. Cringe!”

Courteney Cox Recalls ‘Intense’ Moment Her Fiancé Broke Up With Her During Therapy

Courteney Cox recently revealed that she once went to a therapy session with the intention to fix her relationship with her current partner, Johnny McDaid, but was hit with a devastating surprise instead.

During a Wednesday appearance on the podcast Minnie Questions, the Friends star told host Minnie Driver that she was completely caught off guard when Johnny – who was her fiancé at the time – ended their relationship during a therapy session that took place a few years after they began dating.

“We broke up, and it was really intense. We broke up in therapy, I didn’t know it was coming,” Courteney said.

“Whether I should have or not… we went to this therapist to talk about our boundaries, what we could and couldn’t accept about each other.”

She later continued: “Instead, he just broke up within the first minute.”

Courteney said that she was “so shocked” and in “so much pain” from the breakup.

“I also don’t like surprises,” she said. “And he’s an incredible human being, so he wasn’t trying to surprise me. He was in that much pain in the relationship.

“There was that much that needed to be dealt with, that he had to protect himself around his heart.”

Courteney and Johnny began dating in 2013, and announced their engagement the following year. In 2015, they shared with the public that they called off their engagement, but they later confirmed their reconciliation in 2016.

Courteney also said in the podcast episode that she worked on herself after her breakup with the Snow Patrol singer, and that she was ultimately “so thankful” for the temporary split.

“When we got back together, it was a different relationship,” she said.

In September, Courteney celebrated on Instagram her 10-year anniversary with a slideshow of photos of them together. She shared that the two were introduced to each other by Ed Sheeran.

“10 years!!!!” she captioned the post.

Courteney celebrated Johnny’s birthday in July last year, by sharing on Instagram an edited photo of the singer that depicted him looking older with grey hair.

“Happy birthday my sweetheart. Good to know that when you’re older… you’ll actually look older than me,” she captioned the post.

Emma Stone Says It Would Be ‘Nice’ If People Would ‘Just Call Me’ By Her Real Name

Emma Stone would like everyone to finally address her as Emmanuella Gertrude Stonebreaker III, already.

Just kidding! That is by no means her real name — but neither is Emma.

During a joint interview for The Hollywood Reporter with her The Curse co-star Nathan Fielder published on Wednesday, Fielder told the outlet he was going to refer to Stone as “Emily” instead of “Emma”.

Stone has explained in the past that although her birth name is Emily Stone, she had to change it while earning her Screen Actors Guild card because there was already an actor named Emily Stone in the union.

After Fielder declared he’d be using Stone’s real name throughout the interview, the outlet asked if anyone else in the industry calls her by her real name.

“When I get to know them, people that I work with do. It’s just because my name was taken [by another actor in SAG]. Then I freaked out a couple of years ago. For some reason, I was like, ‘I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily’,” she said, noting that Fielder also calls her “Em.”

When THR asked whether she’d like it if a fan called her “Emily,” the Poor Things star gave a resounding yes.

“That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily,” Stone said.

Stone isn’t alone in being somewhat irked by the overuse of their stage name.

Anne Hathaway was born Anne Hathaway, but prefers to be referred to as her nickname, which is Annie.

The Idea of You star explained to Jimmy Fallon in 2021 that she filmed a commercial when she was 14 and needed a SAG card.

“They asked me, ‘What do you want your name to be?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, it should be my name. My name’s Anne Hathaway,’” she said.

“And so that seemed like the right choice, but it never occurred to me that for the rest of my life people would call me Anne.”

She added that everyone in her life calls her Annie — except for her mum, who only uses “Anne” when she’s angry with her.

“Every time I step out in public and someone calls my name, I think they’re gonna yell at me,” she said.

Sacha Baron Cohen Section Of Rebel Wilson’s Book To Be Censored In UK Edition

The UK edition of Rebel Wilson’s new book will feature a censored version of her account of working with Sacha Baron Cohen.

Last month, the Pitch Perfect star made headlines when she posted a cryptic video on Instagram, in which she teased that a chapter of her new memoir Rebel Rising would see her speaking about an undisclosed “asshole” co-star.

She later named the actor in question as Sacha Baron Cohen, with whom she appeared in the 2016 comedy Grimsby.

At the time, a spokesperson for the Borat creator told HuffPost UK: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production…”

The Guardian has now reported that a chapter of Rebel’s book titled Sacha Baron Cohen And Other Assholes reads: “SBC summoned me via a production assistant saying that I was needed to film an additional scene. What followed was the worst experience of my professional life. An incident that left me feeling bullied, humiliated, and compromised.

“It can’t be printed here due to peculiarities of the law in England and Wales.”

According to the news outlet, the rest of the page is “blacked out”, as are select sentences in the remainder of the chapter.

UK publisher HarperCollins told The Guardian: “We are publishing every page, but for legal reasons, in the UK edition, we are redacting most of one page with some other small redactions and an explanatory note. Those sections are a very small part of a much bigger story.”

Meanwhile, Sacha’s representative said: “[HarperCollins] did not fact check this chapter in the book prior to publication and took the sensible but terribly belated step of deleting Rebel Wilson’s defamatory claims once presented with evidence that they were false.

“Printing falsehoods is against the law in the UK and Australia; this is not a ‘peculiarity’ as Ms Wilson said, but a legal principle that has existed for many hundreds of years.”

They added: “This is a clear victory for Sacha Baron Cohen and confirms what we said from the beginning – that this is demonstrably false, in a shameful and failed effort to sell books.”

Rebel recently told The Times she felt “disrespected” and “humiliated” on the set of Grimsby due to her appearance, claiming she felt “like I was something to be laughed at and degraded because of my size”, and that her character was “demeaned” in certain scenes.

The Times noted that Sacha had “refuted” his former co-star’s version of events.

Rebel first opened up about her working relationship with Sacha during a 2014 radio interview with KIIS FM.

“Sacha is so outrageous,” she said at the time, as reported by Australia’s Courier Mail outlet.

“Every single day he’s like, ‘Rebel, can you just go naked in this scene?’ And I’m like, ‘No!’.”

She continued: “On the last day I thought I’d obviously won the argument and he got a body double to do the naked scene.

“Then in the last scene … he was like, ‘Rebel can you just stick your finger up my butt?’ And I went, ‘What do you mean Sacha? That’s not in the script.’

“And he’s like, ‘Look, I’ll just pull down my pants, you just stick your finger up my butt, it’ll be a really funny bit’.”

Rebel concluded: “You don’t wanna be a diva so I [said] I’ll slap you once on the butt and that’s it.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms He ‘Started’ Sylvester Stallone Rivalry In Joint Interview

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone still vividly remember their rabid rivalry.

The elder statesmen of high-octane Hollywood action famously competed throughout the ’80s and ’90s and sat down to dish on the extreme lengths they went to for a joint interview titled TMZ Presents: Arnold & Sly: Rivals, Friends, Icons.

“As soon as I saw him, it was like, ‘Bang, two alphas hitting’,” Sly recalled to moderator and TMZ founder Harvey Levin. “If we walked into a party, we’d be staring at each other for a few seconds, and then, ‘I got to get that guy. He didn’t do anything wrong, but he will’.”

While Sylvester said Arnie’s rise helped “motivate” him, and the Terminator actor agreed his fellow action star “was very helpful” as someone he could “chase” after, Arnold admitted he “started this whole thing” by “saying stupid things” and “being competitive”.

“It was kind of like, ‘Well, what was your body fat?’” he recalled asking Sylvester. “And I was down to 7%, so I said I was down to 10%. So it became a competition with the body. Then he started using machine guns that were huge machine guns.”

“I was running after him,” Arnold continued. “He was not running after me. So I said, when we did Predator — you got to get a machine gun that is normally mounted on a tank or in a helicopter — I said … I got to have a bigger machine gun than he used in Rambo.”

Their competition had started much earlier at the 1977 Golden Globes, however, when Sylvester’s Rocky won Best Film after Arnold claimed the New Actor of the Year award for Stay Hungry. Sylvester said that he “lost it” when Rocky won.

“I literally went and picked up this entire bouquet of flowers and tossed them straight up in the air, sort of aiming toward [Arnold’s] side of the table,” he said. “And it all comes down, he’s sort of sitting there [thinking] … [he] just threw down the gauntlet.”

The former rivals have long patched things up, even carving Halloween pumpkins together in 2022.

The most insidious incident came in the early ’90s, however, when Arnold used certain sources and Hollywood agents to pretend he was circling Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, a mother-son buddy cop movie, only to ensure it landed in Sylvester’s lap.

The film, which starred Sylvester and Golden Girls alum Estelle Getty, was a critical flop.

“I was, of course, absolutely in heaven,” Arnold said. “I felt like the only way that I could catch up with him was if he stumbled. It was psychological. This is a whole thing about Hollywood — when you’re always as good as your last movie.”

The action icons have long patched things up, even carving Halloween pumpkins together in 2022. Arnold said he admires Sylvester for his emotional vulnerability and “dedication and passion,” only for Sly to respond in kind.

“He’s like a chess player. You don’t know what’s going on, but he gets it done,” he said of the former California governor.

“And he really does have a big heart, he does. I mean, you wouldn’t think it because we’re ‘action guys,’ but we’re more emotional than a lot of more dramatic actors, trust me.”

Billie Eilish had some serious thoughts on sex and self-pleasure in a new interview with Rolling Stone.

“I should have a Ph.D. in masturbation,” she told the magazine, where she went into great detail about why her me-time matters so much to her.

“TMI, but self-pleasure is an enormous, enormous part of my life, and a huge, huge help for me,” the Bad Guy singer shared.

“People should be jerking it, man. I can’t stress it enough, as somebody with extreme body issues and dysmorphia that I’ve had my entire life.”

Billie told Rolling Stone how masturbating in the mirror has helped her tackle those issues, saying that “watching myself feel pleasure has been an extreme help in loving myself and accepting myself, and feeling empowered and comfortable”.

“Partly because it’s hot, but it also makes me have such a raw, deep connection to myself and my body,” she explained. “And have a love for my body that I have not really ever had.

Elsewhere in the interview, Billie said talking about sex is “literally [her] favorite topic.”

The two-time Oscar winner told Rolling Stone she finds the subject more empowering than salacious, saying: “People are so uncomfortable talking about it, and weirded out when women are very comfortable in their sexuality and communicative in it.”

“I think it’s such a frowned-upon thing to talk about, and I think that should change,” she added.

Kim Kardashian Confirms A Few Rumours About Herself — And They’re Weird

Kim Kardashian does not have six toes, but she did confirm a few other details about herself on Jimmy Kimmel’s US talk show on Monday night — and a handful are pretty kooky.

Near the end of their chat, Jimmy decided to ask the Skims owner if a few “interesting” rumours about her were true or not.

The reality TV star was game, and Kim confirmed two pretty banal facts about herself: She knows how to change a tire, and she washes her feet every night before going to bed.

But she also admitted that she blow-dries her jewellery before putting it on.

“Because I hate being freezing,” Kim explained. “And when you put on cold jewellery or like anything with a zipper — I just need it warm.”

OK, sure, we kind of get that, but nothing can explain the weirdest tidbit Kim confirmed — which is that she makes someone else take the cardboard sleeve off her Starbucks coffee because she hates the sound the cardboard makes.

“Yes … and I hate the feeling,” Kim admitted.

She said she doesn’t even like watching the sleeve come off.

“The cardboard getting moved off the cup is like nails on a chalkboard to me,” she explained.

Most of the rumours Jimmy mentioned turned out to be accurate — except the myth that she has six toes, which was at least one thing she was able to debunk.

“Were some of these not supposed to be true, but they really are, and you guys didn’t know?” she joked.
