Millie Bobby Brown And Husband Jake Bongiovi Are Now Parents

Millie Bobby Brown has announced that she and her husband Jake Bongiovi have become parents.

On Thursday night, the Stranger Things star told her Instagram followers that she and Jake had adopted a baby earlier in the summer.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple announced in a joint statement. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

“And then there were three…” she added.

Millie and Jake have been in a relationship since 2021, and tied the knot in May of last year.

The 21-year-old has previously made no secret of her hopes to start a family in the near future, telling the Smartless podcast earlier this year: “For me, my home is full of love for anyone and anything.

“So that’s kind of where we’re at. We’re wanting to start a family and it doesn’t matter in what way or when, but it will happen for sure.”

Pointing out that both herself and her husband have three siblings each, she continued: “I really want a big family. I’m one of four, he’s one of four, so it is in our future.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Millie shared that she has been focussed on becoming a mother since a young age, pointing out that her own mum was 21 when she was born.

“Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like ‘Baby dolls [are what I want]’,” she explained. “I wanted to be a mum just like the way my mum was to me.

“Jake knows how important it is to me. Like, of course I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally.”

Millie shot to fame around a decade ago as a child actor in the Netflix series Stranger Things, which is coming to an end later this year.

Since then, she’s made a name for herself as both an actor and producer, most notably in Netflix’s Enola Holmes movies and the films Damsel and The Electric State, both made in connection with the streaming giant.

Jake, meanwhile, is a model and actor, whose father is the musician Jon Bon Jovi.

Millie Bobby Brown’s Wedding Had A Surprise Stranger Things Connection

Over four months after Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi tied the knot, new details about the couple’s nuptials are coming to light.

On Wednesday, the couole shared photos of the lavish, three-day celebration ― which took place at Villa Cetinale near Siena, Italy, in May ― for the first time publicly on their social media platforms.

“Forever and always, your wife,” Millie wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, which included a carousel of images showing the pair in their stunning wedding attire.

Jake’s Instagram post included a similar series of photos, with the final image confirming that the ceremony had been officiated by Matthew Modine, who plays Dr. Martin Brenner on Stranger Things. The

two-time Golden Globe nominee can be spotted standing beneath a floral archway as Jake reads his vows.

The post drew a cheeky comment from Matthew Modine himself, who commented: “Amazing. Who’s the old guy with a beard?”

Other images highlighted Millie’s stunning Galia Lahav gown, which she paired with a sheer Monvieve veil. It was the first of four custom looks she wore over the course of the celebration.

The groom, meanwhile, opted for an ivory tuxedo jacket and black pants.

Specifics of Millie and Jake’s wedding have remained scarce until now, but People magazine reported in May that they were married in what was then described as a “low-key, romantic” ceremony.

Among those in attendance was Bongiovi’s father, rock singer Jon Bon Jovi.

The young couple got engaged in April 2023 after about two years of dating. Given the couple’s ages, their relationship quickly came under intense media scrutiny.

In a 2023 interview with Andy Cohen, however, Jake’s famous dad came to the pair’s defence.

“I don’t know if age matters,” he said at the time. “If you find the right partner and you grow together, I think that would be my advice really: Growing together is wise.”

He went on to note: “I think that all of my kids have found the people that they think they can grow together with, and we like them all.”

Millie Bobby Brown’s Fiancé Gave Her ‘The Ick’ By Doing 1 Thing She’s Famous For

Frankly, we’re surprised Millie Bobby Brown didn’t just dump his ass.

In a recent BBC Radio 1 interview that went viral this week, the British star shared that she just discovered a brand new “ick” — or a turnoff — thanks to her fiancé, model Jake Bongiovi.

“This morning I was on a flight with my fiancé, and he got a nosebleed,” she said. “And I got the ick.”

While explaining why she found this so unappealing, she cleverly referred to her famous Stranger Things character, Eleven, who gets nosebleeds when she uses her telekinetic and telepathic abilities.

“Do you know why? One, because he just got a nosebleed at the most inconvenient time,” she said. “We just landed. The seat belt sign was still on. ’He’s doing an Eleven’. I’m like, ‘Calm down.’

“Two, he’s acting as if it’s painful, and I’m like, ‘It’s not painful’.”

This is not the first time that Millie has discussed her personal icks — and there seem to be quite a few things that she finds unsavoury.

Earlier in the BBC Radio 1 interview, she said that men holding umbrellas give her the ick.

“There’s something about it that just feels really pathetic,” she explained. “I tried to get on board with it. I did try.”

Millie also told Glamour last year that she finds the act of taking photos of food “cringe.”

“I do not take pictures of my meals. That is where I draw the line,” she told the magazine at the time.

“My camera does not eat first. I think it’s just ridiculous. Put your phone down, eat your meal. … Never have I ever taken a picture of my food or drink. Cringe!”

Millie Bobby Brown Explains Why Future Father-In-Law Jon Bon Jovi Won’t Be Performing At Her Wedding

The Stranger Things star announced her engagement to Jake Bongiovi, who is the son of Jon Bon Jovi, in April. Following this, many people put two and two together and assumed the rock singer would perform some of his hits at the couple’s reception.

However, during an interview on the morning show Today With Hoda & Jenna, Millie explained why this would not be the case.

TV host Hoda Kotb asked: “Jon Bon Jovi, his son, won’t be singing, will he?”. In response, the two-time Emmy nominee jokingly said that it would be like asking her to “do full-on play for everyone.”

Speaking of her soon-to-be father-in-law, she said: “I think the man needs a break. He doesn’t stop.” Jon Bon Jovi has been the frontman for Bon Jovi since 1983.

Millie isn’t short of musical friends. When she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she revealed that she is pals with singer-songwriter Mariah Carey. In addition, the Netflix star and rapper Megan Thee Stallion have spoken of their admiration for one another.

On April 11, Millie announced her engagement to Jake on Instagram. Referencing the Taylor Swift song Lover, she captioned the post: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”

Commenting on the upcoming wedding, Millie told Today that she and Jake are both “very excited” and it will be a “very intimate day for the both of us”.
