Jennifer Lawrence Admits She Was An ‘Accidental Bully’ In High School

Jennifer Lawrence admitted she was an “accidental bully” to someone in school and still keeps track of the person.

“I was an accidental bully because I pantsed this kid named Tyler,” the star said in an interview with E! News last week while promoting her new movie, No Hard Feelings.

“We were, like, pantsing people at a football game and I accidentally grabbed his underwear and he got really embarrassed,” Lawrence explained.

“I feel really bad, I like sometimes Google him,” she continued. “Just to be like, ‘You all right?’”

No hard feelings, Tyler? We’ll have to see.

The Hunger Games actor also said she was bullied herself by one girl, who she named with no remorse.

“This one girl named Meredith handed me a stack of invitations to her birthday party, but I was not invited,” she said, as her co-star Andrew Feldman gasped and exclaimed, “Oh my god!”

“She asked me to hand them out. Isn’t that so mean?” Lawrence said, adding: “It’s fine, I spit on them and threw them in the trash.”

While Lawrence may or may not be drawing on her past school experiences for her new movie, she told Vogue last year “so many of my films in the past have been about my mother, my childhood”.

And now that she’s a new mom, she told the outlet, she wonders “what will happen now that I’ll be witnessing somebody else’s childhood”.

“And I wonder what he’s going to be talking about with his therapist,” she said. “She wouldn’t put me down. She kisses me on the mouth. She asked me not to go to college.”

Dominic Raab Says He Will Quit If Bullying Allegations Are Upheld

Dominic Raab has vowed to quit Rishi Sunak’s Cabinet if he is found guilty of bullying staff.

The deputy prime minister is facing an ongoing investigation into how he treated a number of government officials.

However, he refused to step down ahead of the investigation into his behaviour, saying “innocent until proven guilty”.

Staff from multiple departments he has led have made complaints about his behaviour – including at the Brexit department, foreign office and ministry of justice.

He is being investigated by senior lawyer Adam Tolley KC, with dozens of officials thought to be involved in eight formal complaints.

Raab told Sky’s Sophy Ridge On Sunday programme: “I’m not going to start speculating on what the outcome might be. Again, you’re asking me to comment on the subject matter.”

The justice secretary dismissed calls to stand aside while the probe is carried out but added: “Allow me to respond in the right way at the right time, of course. Look, if an allegation of bullying is upheld, I will resign.”

Former Tory chair Jake Berry has called on Raab to step aside from his ministerial roles while he is investigated over the claims.

Rishi Sunak has resisted calls for Raab to be suspended or to step aside while he is investigated, with the prime minister instead waiting for the inquiry to conclude.

The PM has faced questions over what he knew about the allegations before appointing Raab as his deputy and justice secretary, with Downing Street only ruling out Sunak being aware of “formal complaints”.

Raab has previously said he is not a bully and always “behaved professionally” towards staff.

Asked on the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg if he was a bully, Raab replied: “No.”

Dave Penman, general secretary of the FDA union, which represents senior Whitehall officials, previously suggested whistleblowers working at the ministry of justice are going through a continuing ordeal.

“I can’t imagine what it’s like to be one of those complainants working in a department where Dominic Raab is still the secretary of state,” he told GB News.

Allies of Raab have suggested civil servants are trying to push him out. However, Penman hit back at claims that he is the victim of a smear campaign, saying it is “really difficult” to accuse one of “the most powerful people in the country” of bullying.

Lib Dem chief whip Wendy Chamberlain said Sunak must “come clean” about what he knew when.

“Rishi Sunak should finally show some backbone and suspend Raab while this investigation is ongoing,” she said.

“That is what would happen to someone facing such serious allegations in any other workplace.

“The current position is completely unsustainable, how can crime victims expect justice when the minister responsible is busy trying to clear his own name?”

Raheem Bailey GoFundMe Reaches £100k After Schoolboy Loses Finger Fleeing Bullies

Raheem Bailey is a name you would have seen all over your social feeds over the weekend. Devastatingly, the 11-year-old had a finger amputated after he suffered an injury trying to flee bullies at school.

The young Black student was attacked, beaten and pushed to the ground in his school in Abertillery, Wales, based on racist bullying, said his mother Shantal.

Doctors worked six hours to save Raheem’s fingers but ultimately could not save it.

Since she shared the news, the story has gained worldwide attention, with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Jadon Sancho and US basketball player Gerald Green speaking out.

The mum also started a GoFundMe page with the intention of raising £10k for Raheem’s medical costs, including a prosthetic finger. But since the story broke out, donations have poured in, far exceeding the family’s expectations.

Currently, the donations stand at £101,847.

Shantal Bailey wrote on the donations page: “Raheem has faced racial and physical abuse, as well as more generic bullying about his height and other things, since he started secondary school in September 2021.”

Though she had been aware of some comments, she was not aware of the extent of her son’s bullying, she said.

“Raheem was attacked by a group of children and beaten (mainly kicked) after being pushed to the ground. Consequently, Raheem made a desperate attempt to leave the school grounds in order to escape the situation.

“Whilst climbing the fence, his finger got caught and attached to it, causing the skin to strip and the finger to break in half it.”

The mother said she had contacted the school about the incident and was assured it would be dealt with.

The school, Abertillery Learning Community, announced yesterday that it would be closed today as it work with police to investigate the issue.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council said that all campuses would be closed on Monday, saying: “Abertillery Learning Community is working with Gwent Police in relation to an ongoing investigation into an alleged assault on the secondary campus.

“All campuses at Abertillery Learning Community will be closed tomorrow on health and safety grounds.

“Learners will access blended learning for Monday, 23rd May. The safety and well-being of learners and staff remains of paramount importance to the Learning Community and the Local Authority at all times.”
