Piers Morgan’s Wife Admits She Used To ‘Bitch’ About Him With Susanna Reid Behind His Back

Piers Morgan’s wife Celia Walden has admitted that she used to “bitch” about her husband with his former Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid.

Celia also revealed that she thinks Susanna – who was often described as Piers’ ‘long-suffering on-screen wife’ – did “the whole wife thing” better than her because she knew how to “manage” the divisive presenter.

Speaking to The Sun, Celia revealed: “We used to bitch about him behind his back together. In fact, I always felt she was better at the whole ‘wife’ thing than me. She was very good at managing him.”

Celia, who married Piers in 2010, also revealed what it was like living with Piers since he was axed from his job on GMB.

“Well, I always think of that famous quote, ‘Behind every great man, there’s a woman rolling her eyes’ — I am that woman,” she said.

“Being married to Piers is basically one very long eye roll. But what people don’t realise about Piers is that he’s usually very quiet at home because he’s exhausted himself on whatever interview he’s been doing.

“This is the only reason I am sad about him leaving GMB — well, that and the fact I wake up and there he is, staring back at me morning after morning.

“But really, he used to come back and by 9am was absolutely flattened, lying there on the sofa, catatonic, not bothering anyone.”

She added: “Unfortunately he’s got all his energy back now. Please, someone, just give him a job!

“But what’s extraordinary is that before it really was that Marmite thing with him — a split between those who loved or loathed him.

“But recently the attention has been 99.9 per cent positive. It’s been like walking around with a national treasure. Very odd.”

Patsy Palmer Takes On Her Critics With Sweary Statement After Shutting Down Good Morning Britain Interview

ITV

Patsy Palmer cut short an interview on Wednesday’s GMB

Revealing she was appearing to discuss her company, Good and Proper Hair, Patsy wrote under a previous Insta post: “My apologies to anyone that wants to hear good news as I have great faith that considering what is going on in the world right now there are still some people that do.

“I keep seeing people saying ‘get over yourself’, I have gotten over my old self years ago and no longer wish to discuss it when I only have 5 minutes air time

“I have been a people pleaser my whole life. I am not going to waste those precious 5 minutes talking about things that are 20 years old or about Meghan and Harry.

“If I do post things on social media in reaction to a TV show or an article I’ve read about something that’s my platform.

“I have always been very open and honest at certain times in my life as many people are forced to be in the public eye…

“I was supposed to be on there to talk about a new business that I created that couldn’t be more opposite to that headline.”

Patsy took offence to the strap line that appeared on screen

The former Bianca Jackson actor then hit out at “trolls and haters” who had criticised her actions.

“Go fuck yourselves,” she wrote. “I’ve worked hard on myself to remove negativity from my life and the lives of my children so if anyone has a problem with that you need to go and take a look at your lives and wonder what drives you to jump on here to attack me for standing my ground.

“If you are parents doing that then shame on you. I hope you find some joy amidst all the madness.”

Patsy had been speaking on GMB from her home in Malibu via video link, with Susanna asking about her life out in the US as her opening question.

After noticing the offending strap line, she said: “You know what, actually, I don’t even want to do this interview because I don’t even want to look at what it says at the bottom of the screen,” she said.

“So I’m going to switch off, do a real Piers Morgan, and just say that it’s not okay to have ‘addict to wellness guru’ at the bottom of the screen.

“My issues I had years ago, that were talked about by me many, many years ago and it’s over so I’m not going to talk about it.

“I don’t really want to talk to you,” she said, as she pulled down the lid of her laptop.

Susanna and Ben tried to apologise, before throwing to a weather forecast.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.

Alex Beresford Addresses Piers Morgan’s Good Morning Britain Exit

Good Morning Britain presenter Alex Beresford has spoken out following former co-host Piers Morgan’s departure from the show.

On Tuesday morning, the two GMB stars were involved in a heated exchange live on air about Meghan Markle, in which Alex called out Piers’ comments about the Duchess of Sussex made the previous day.

This ended in Piers storming out of the studio, which Alex branded “pathetic” and “diabololical behaviour”.

Following the news that Piers has now left the show permanently, Alex has shared his thoughts on Twitter.

“There is so much that could be said,” he wrote, insisting that “Piers’ departure sincerely wasn’t the conclusion I was hoping for”.

Alex explained: “Over the lat few years, Piers and I have had a lively, cheeky on-air relationship.

“We both wanted to be on the show on Tuesday morning, and from our very public conversations on Twitter, we both knew how strongly our opinions differed on the treatment of Harry and Meghan pre and post the interview that has split the world.

“I hoped we could reach a place of understanding. It’s sad that we weren’t able to get there, but challenging this opinion was not an outrage. On this occasion, we have to agree to disagree.”

He added: “I didn’t want him to quit, but I did want him to listen. Personally, Piers has always supported my growth. He’s given me advice on several occasions and for that I am grateful. I wish him well!”

Alex previously tweeted, after his on-air exchange with Piers: “I wish I had the privilege to sit on the fence. In order for me to do that I would have to strip myself of my identity and that’s not something I can do.

“It’s not any of our places to pick apart claims of racism in order to make us to feel more comfortable.”

ITV faced calls to reprimand Piers Morgan after Monday’s show, when he cast doubt on Meghan Markle’s recent claims about her mental health and her experiences of racism after joining the Royal Family.

“I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she says,” Piers said. “I wouldn’t believe her if she read me a weather report, and the fact that she’s fired up this onslaught against our royal family, I think is contemptible.”

It was later revealed Piers had sparked more than 40,000 complaints to Ofcom, after which it was announced he was leaving GMB effective immediately.

Since the news of his departure was confirmed, the divisive presenter doubled down on his views on Twitter, later telling reporters: “I believe in freedom of speech, I believe in the right to be allowed to have an opinion. If people want to believe Meghan Markle, that’s entirely their right.

“I don’t believe almost anything that comes out of her mouth and I think the damage she’s done to the British monarchy and to the Queen at a time when Prince Philip is lying in hospital is enormous and frankly contemptible.

“If I have to fall on my sword for expressing an honestly-held opinion about Meghan Markle and that diatribe of bilge that she came out with in that interview, so be it.”
