Reynolds expertly called out Lively, who attended the Super Bowl with Taylor Swift on Sunday, during the big game.
“Has everyone seen the #Deadpool trailer?” he wrote on Instagram on Sunday, as the trailer for his new film, Deadpool 3, dropped during the game.

“Also, has anyone seen my wife?” Reynolds quipped, referencing his wife’s high-profile attendance at the game alongside Swift.
Of course, Lively had the perfect retort ready for her husband of over 10 years.
“Honey, I’m home,” the Gossip Girl actor posted to her Instagram story after watching the Super Bowl and celebrating at the after-party in Las Vegas.
“My day was good. Yours?” she added, posing in front of the exact same spot Reynolds did, with Deadpool on in the background.

Earlier this year, both Lively and Reynolds attended a Kansas City Chiefs game with Swift to help cheer on her beau, Travis Kelce.
The Spirited actor later told “Extra” that he had “a lot of fun” at the game ― and seemingly referenced the effect Swift’s relationship with Kelce had on the NFL.
“The NFL right now is reaching a kind of fever pitch, you know, that’s usually only reserved for the Super Bowl,” Reynolds said back in October. “But, you know, here we are at the fourth or fifth game of the year and it’s already happening.”

Swift’s appearance at the Super Bowl marked the 13th time the singer has attended one of Kelce’s games. Given that 13 is her lucky number, some Swifties thought the significant milestone would bring good luck to the Chiefs.
Amid all of the conversation about Netflix’s new retelling of One Day, many of us might well be reminiscing about the 2011 film adaptation of the much-loved book.
While this new TV series has received mostly glowing reviews, the 2011 movie was a little more on the divisive side, thanks in no small part to Anne Hathaway’s attempts to speak in a Leeds accent.

And if you’re wondering – yes that meant that Ambika Mod, who plays Emma in this new version of the story, was “absolutely” feeling the pressure when she was getting ready for the role.

Speaking to HuffPost UK ahead of the show’s launch, Ambika admitted she’d previously “never” managed to perfect the Northern accent required for the character.
“If you see my audition tapes, I can’t do the Yorkshire accent,” she revealed. “I couldn’t do it.”
For those who’ve already seen One Day, you’ll know that Ambika did make it in the end, which she credits to the “amazing” dialect coach Natalie Grady.

“We were militant – we met, like, three times a week, hour-and-a-half sessions, we went through every single sound,” she revealed.
“I learned a really, really strong, authentic Leeds accent, and then we pared it down and found an accent that felt really truthful to Emma and where she was in episode one, and then we tapered it from then on.
“But yeah, it took a village, for sure. I definitely didn’t just do it on my own. But I’m very glad that people think it’s OK.”

Ambika also said that once she was cast as Emma, she made the decision not to revisit the film version of One Day, out of concern “it would throw me”.

“Me neither,” her co-star Leo Woodall agreed. “I watched it before the first audition, because I hadn’t read the book. But that was it.”
Before One Day began streaming, Ambika was best known for her performance in the BBC medical comedy-drama This Is Going To Hurt, as well as roles in I Hate Suzie and Trying.
Leo also had a key role in the most recent series of The White Lotus, earning himself and his co-stars a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Performance By An Ensemble In A TV Drama.
The film has won over hearts and critics with its ethereal, strange plot and performances from Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo but now, Poor Things has been rated by the most important person of all: Olivia Colman.
Of course, Olivia has worked with Poor Things director Yorgos Lanthimos previously on The Favourite, along with Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz: a film that the British Film Institute rated as one of the best released that year.

Speaking about Olivia, Emma said: “Olivia is like a marshmallow of a human being — like the most warm, gooey, lovey person you know. She’s just an absolute heart of a person.”
So, when it came to her opinion of Poor Things — a very personal project for Emma —, we reckon it was incredibly important to the actress.
Now, in a clip shared on TikTok by production company Searchlight Pictures, we learn exactly how Colman feels.

“You make me want to cry”
In the clip, Olivia starts by telling Emma that she knows compliments are awkward for her and tells her to channel her character from Poor Things and just say “thank you” in response to praise.
Olivia then says: “I think what you did was exquisite, and beautiful and brave.” She adds that everything Emma does always blows her mind but, “this whole thing was creative filmmaking that you just never see that Yorgos did and you were part of that.”
As well as starring in the lead role, Emma was also a producer on the film, and, in fact, her fellow producers stated that the film could not have gone ahead without her.
Continuing in her lavishing praise as Emma was clearly moved, Olivia said, “you go at things, you know, head first, and you blew me away. I do mean that. I can’t lie.”
Emma tearily responded saying: “I love you Colman. I LOVE YA.”
This year’s star-studded Grammys guestlist allowed for plenty of iconic interactions, but when it comes to A-list meetings, they don’t come any bigger than Meryl Streep and Beyoncé.
Meryl was one of the guest presenters at the biggest night in music on Sunday, where she presented Record Of The Year with her son-in-law Mark Ronson, while Beyoncé was in attendance to support her husband Jay-Z on the night of his Global Impact Award win.
During the ceremony, the two-time Oscar winner paid a quick visit to Bey’s table, where it’s fair to say the Mamma Mia! actor looked like she was engaged in some very enthusiastic chat.
After being shared on the Grammys’ social pages, the photo of Meryl and Beyoncé’s meeting quickly began doing the rounds online, where fans began imagining exactly how things went down between the pair in their conversation:
Both Prue and Sandi were new additions to the Bake Off family when the show made the jump to Channel 4 in 2017, and while the former still remains a judge on the show, the latter stepped down as a presenter after three seasons.

Last month, the QI host made headlines when she claimed that her time on Bake Off came to an end because she “stopped having fun”.
“I was literally standing there watching meringues dry and thinking, ‘Oh my God, my brain is atrophying’,” she claimed.
During an interview on Times Radio on Tuesday, Prue was asked what she thought of Sandi’s comments, to which she admitted they didn’t correspond to her memories of working with the comedian.
“I don’t think Sandi was [that] bored,” Prue said. “She and I shared a wonderful green room in this posh house, which was where we filmed Bake Off, which was in the library.

“And so we had this wonderful selection of books, and she would [knit] little figures. So she made lots of those. She wrote a few scripts. She did a lot of other things.”

Prue added: “I mean, I can see that for some people as clever as Sandy watching meringue dry is perhaps a bit heavy, but I think she just liked the joke. I don’t think she was really bored.”
Sandi previously told Radio Times: “After three years, I thought, ‘That’ll do, go and do something else!’” I’m in love enough with the business to think, ‘OK, that’s a nice pay cheque, but it doesn’t work for me. I’ll move on and do something else’.”
“I’m very fond of Sandi. She was never too busy to sit down, have a chat and put the world to rights. We shared a couple of drinks and had some good times together,” he said at the time.
Sandi was replaced by Matt Lucas, who fronted three seasons before announcing he, too, was leaving. Daytime favourite Alison Hammond then made her debut at the helm of Bake Off last year, and is set to return in 2024.
Grammys night got off to an exciting start on Sunday, with Kylie Minogue picking up her second award from the Recording Academy of her career, almost 20 years to the day after her first win.
And clearly, that momentum is showing no signs of slowing down, as Kylie has now been awarded the second Grammy of her career.
Before Sunday night’s main broadcast got underway, it was revealed that Padam Padam had been awarded Best Pop Dance Recording, beating stiff competition from David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Troye Sivan.
Kylie did not attend the pre-ceremony, with music producer Lostboy instead accepting the award.
However, she did share a clip of herself celebrating the news on Instagram shortly after her win was announced.
The chart-topping singer previously scooped her first Grammy win in 2004, when her hit Come Into My World secured the Best Dance Recording prize.
Following its release last summer, Padam Padam peaked at number eight in the UK singles chart, her first top 10 since 2010’s All The Lovers, after the song garnered a following on TikTok. Follow-up album Tension hit number one in both the UK and her native Australia.
In the coming weeks, Kylie is due to receive the Icon prize at the Billboard Music Awards, and has also been recognised in the Best International Artist category at this year’s Brits, which will take place next month.

What’s it about? Based on David Nicholls’ much-loved book (which itself inspired a hit film in 2011, starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess), One Day tells the story of a pair of best friends with undeniable chemistry, checking in with them on the same day over a period of 18 years and checking in with their personal highs and lows.

What’s it about? After achieving huge success with their live-action remake of One Piece last year, Netflix is no doubt hoping it can work similar magic with this new spin on the animated fantasy drama Avatar: The Last Airbender.
This new take on the classic series features teen actor Gordon Cormier as the titular Avatar Aang, with Lost star Daniel Dae Kim playing Fire Lord Ozai.
Netflix says: “Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The four nations once lived in harmony, with the Avatar, master of all four elements, keeping peace between them. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out the Air Nomads, the first step taken by the firebenders towards conquering the world.
“With the current incarnation of the Avatar yet to emerge, the world has lost hope. But like a light in the darkness, hope springs forth when Aang, a young Air Nomad — and the last of his kind — reawakens to take his rightful place as the next Avatar.
“Alongside his newfound friends Sokka and Katara, siblings and members of the Southern Water Tribe, Aang embarks on a fantastical, action-packed quest to save the world and fight back against the fearsome onslaught of Fire Lord Ozai . But with a driven Crown Prince Zuko determined to capture them, it won’t be an easy task.”

What’s it about? Yep, Netflix has even got in on the awards season fun now.
The last “big one” before the Oscars, the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards recognises the best individual and ensemble acting performances from the past 12 months from both the world of TV and film – with actors themselves doing the voting.
And given what an eventful year the Screen Actors’ Guild has had, this could be one to keep an eye on. For the first time, the SAG Awards will be streaming live worldwide on Netflix – but set your alarm, because the fun gets going in the early hours of Monday 25 February.
Netflix says: “The award show for actors, by actors, celebrates its 30th year.”
NEW YORK (AP) — Carl Weathers, a former NFL linebacker who became a Hollywood action movie and comedy star, playing nemesis-turned-ally Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies, facing off against Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator and teaching golf in Happy Gilmore, has died. He was 76.
Matt Luber, his manager, said Weathers died on Thursday. His family issued a statement saying he died “peacefully in his sleep”.

Comfortable flexing his muscles on the big screen in Action Jackson as he was joking around on the small screen in such shows as Arrested Development, Weathers was perhaps most closely associated with Creed, who made his first appearance as the cocky, undisputed heavyweight world champion in 1976’s Rocky, starring Sylvester Stallone.
“It puts you on the map and makes your career, so to speak. But that’s a one-off, so you’ve got to follow it up with something. Fortunately those movies kept coming, and Apollo Creed became more and more in people’s consciousness and welcome in their lives, and it was just the right guy at the right time,” he told The Daily Beast in 2017.
Creed, who appeared in the first four Rocky movies, memorably died in the ring of 1984’s Rocky IV, going toe-to-toe with the hulking, steroided-using Soviet Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren. Before he entered the ring, James Brown sang Living in America with showgirls and Creed popped up on a balcony in a Star-Spangled Banner shorts and waistcoat combo and an Uncle Sam hat, dancing and taunting Drago.

A bloodied Creed collapses in the ring after taking a vicious beating, twitches and is cradled by Rocky as he dies, inevitably setting up a fight between Drago and Rocky. But while Creed is gone, his character’s son, Michael B Jordan’s Adonis Creed, would lead his own boxing trilogy starting in 2015.
Weathers went on to 1987’s Predator, where he flexed his pecs alongside Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura and a host of others, and 1988’s nouveau blaxploitation flick Action Jackson, where he trains his flamethrower on a bad guy and asks, “How do you like your ribs?” before broiling him.
He later added a false wooden hand to play a golf pro for the 1996 comedy classic Happy Gilmore opposite Adam Sandler and starred in Dick Wolf’s short-lived spin-off series Chicago Justice in 2017 and in Disney’s The Mandalorian, earning an Emmy Award nomination in 2021. He also voiced Combat Carl in the Toy Story franchise.
Weathers grew up admiring actors such as Woody Strode, whose combination of physique and acting prowess in Spartacus made an early impression. Others he idolised included actors Sidney Poitier and Harry Belafonte and athletes Jim Brown and Muhammad Ali, stars who broke the mold and the colour barrier.
“There are so many people that came before me who I admired and whose success I wanted to emulate, and just kind of hit the benchmarks they hit in terms of success, who created a pathway that I’ve been able to walk and find success as a result. And hopefully I can inspire someone else to do good work as well,” he told the Detroit News 2023. “I guess I’m just a lucky guy.”

Growing up in New Orleans, Weathers started performing in plays as early as grade school. In high school, athletics took him down another path but he would reunite with his first love later in life.
Weathers played college football at San Diego State University — he majored in theater — and went on to play for one season in the NFL, for the Oakland Raiders, in 1970.
“When I found football, it was a completely different outlet,” says Weathers told the Detroit News. “It was more about the physicality, although one does feed the other. You needed some smarts because there were playbooks to study and film to study, to learn about the opposition on any given week.”
After the Raiders, he joined the Canadian Football League, playing for two years while finishing up his studies during the offseason at San Francisco State University. He graduated with a BA in drama in 1974.
After appearing in several films and TV shows, including Good Times, The Six Million Dollar Man, In the Heat of the Night and Starsky & Hutch, as well as fighting Nazis alongside Harrison Ford in Force 10 From Navarone, Weathers landed his knockout role — Creed. He told The Hollywood Reporter that his start in the iconic franchise was not auspicious.

He was asked to read with the writer, Stallone, then unknown. Weathers read the scene but felt it didn’t land and so he blurted out: “I could do a lot better if you got me a real actor to work with,” he recalled. “So I just insulted the star of the movie without really knowing it and not intending to.” He also lied that he had any boxing experience.
Later in life, Weathers developed a passion for directing, helming episodes of Silk Stalking and and the Lorenzo Lamas vehicle Renegade. He directed a season three episode of The Mandalorian.
Weathers introduced himself to another generation when he portrayed himself as an opportunistic and extremely thrifty actor who becomes involved with the dysfunctional clan at the heart of Arrested Development.
The Weathers character likes to save money by making broth from discarded food — ’There’s still plenty of meat on that bone” and “Baby, you got a stew going!” — and, for the right price, agrees to become an acting coach for delusional and talent-free thespian Tobias Funke, played by David Cross.
TV personality Jonnie Irwin has died aged 50, his family has said.
The presenter, who fronted Channel 4’s A Place In The Sun and the BBC’s Escape To The Country, revealed in 2022 that he had two years earlier been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer which had spread to his brain.
A statement on his Instagram account announcing his death said he touched “the lives of so many with his kindness, warmth and infectious spirit”.

Alongside a photograph of the late TV host and his wife, Jessica Holmes, with whom he has three young sons – Rex, and twins Rafa and Cormac – thetribute read: “In Loving Memory. It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Jonnie’s passing.
“A truly remarkable soul, he fought bravely against cancer with unwavering strength and courage. Jonnie touched the lives of so many with his kindness, warmth and infectious spirit.”
It continued: “At this time, we kindly ask for the privacy of Jonnie’s family as they navigate through this profound loss. Their grief is immeasurable, and your thoughts, prayers and support are deeply appreciated.

“As we remember the beautiful moments shared with Jonnie, let us celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will for ever be etched in our hearts. Jonnie may be gone from our sight, but his love, laughter and memories will live on.
“Rest in peace, dear Jonnie. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.”
Since going public with his diagnosis, Jonnie has been documenting his experience of living with cancer on social media. He had been open about his illness in the hope of inspiring others to “make the most of every day”.
Jonnie said the first warning sign of his illness came while he was filming A Place In The Sun in August 2020 in Italy, when his vision became blurry while driving. “Within a week of flying back from filming, I was being given six months to live,” he told Hello! magazine
Jasmine Harman, his long-time co-presenter on A Place In The Sun, wrote on Instagram: “I have never admired you more than over the last few years as you’ve faced life with cancer with positivity, determination and bloody mindedness. The world is a little darker today without you, but I will always smile when I think of you.”
While the Scotsman had already starred in notable films when Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace (1999) began production, McGregor’s casting as Obi-Wan Kenobi raised his profile overnight. The critical backlash, however, ultimately proved just as memorable.
“I am happy that I am this character for a lot of people, but when these films came out, they were so disliked,” McGregor told Variety in an interview published on Wednesday. “That was hard. The first one was panned, and we still had to make another two!”

He continued, “It was weird to be in a film that was hammered.”
George Lucas built an empire out of Star Wars (1977) and its sequels, which introduced whole generations to lightsabers, handsome rogues and a digestible notion of good vs. evil. The fandom certainly hadn’t gone dormant after but powerfully reawakened in 1998.
While the Menace teaser attached to Meet Joe Black at the time spawned massive enthusiasm, the $115 million film itself was critically trounced for its childish humor, narrative flaws and overwhelming use of CGI. It maintains a 52% Rotten Tomatoes rating to this day.
McGregor had signed on for two more sequels, which were received only marginally better. The actor clearly survived the backlash and went on to have an impressive career, which arguably began years before Menace under the direction of Danny Boyle.
McGregor recently reprised his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a titular Disney+ series.

Boyle had cast McGregor in Shallow Grave (1994) and Trainspotting (1996), but made Leonardo DiCaprio the lead of his 2000 follow-up The Beach. McGregor felt famously slighted by this, as he was far more interested in that role than he was in any Star Wars.
“It wasn’t a done deal for me,” he told Variety about playing Obi-Wan Kenobi. “I didn’t think it was at all who I was. I believed, at that point, I was a Danny Boyle actor. The Beach was more important and I meant it, it wasn’t flippant. I did ask a lot of people for advice.”
The actor ultimately returned to the role in 2022 for a Disney+ miniseries, which not only spawned massive enthusiasm from fans — but a positive Rotten Tomatoes score. Whether McGregor will return to the show remains to be seen, though he certainly wouldn’t mind.
He told Variety, “I would love to do the second season, but there’s no talk of it yet.”
