The host of The Tonight Show brought McGregor on as a guest to discuss his return to UFC.
This comes two years after the fighter was found liable by 12 jurors in a civil case after Nikita Hand accused him of raping her in a Dublin hotel back in 2018.
He was ordered to pay £206,000 in damages, though McGregor denies that he raped Hand, saying they had “fully consensual sex”.
Before the civil case, Ireland’s Director of Public Prosecutions made the decision not to bring criminal charges to McGregor due to insufficient evidence. Two later appeals weredismissed.
Now, fans have noticed that no clips of the McGregor interview have appeared on Fallon’s Instagram page, even though it took place days ago.
A comment under the talk show host’s Instagram clip, which showed his interview with Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney, reads: “Don’t want to post McGregor @jimmyfallon? Why not?”
In fact, the entire comment section under the McCartney video is filled with references to the McGregor appearance.
“Rehabilitating McGregor. I hope you’re proud of yourself,” a comment reads.
“Jimmy Fallon supports [grape emoji]ists [calling someone a “grapist” is a way of alluding to rapists online] and then hides behind other guests when called out,” another said.
“I’m struggling to find the clips of the predator on @jimmyfallon Was it deleted? It should be acknowledged and there should be an apology!” an Instagram user opined under his most recent Instagram upload.
Others say they used to be fans but have changed their mind since the McGregor interview.
“We loved you. We thought you were one of the good ones,” a former fan said.
Comments also included the mention of tampons – “Tampon. Surgically. Removed,” one reads.
During the 2024 trial, gynaecologist and forensic examiner, Dr Daniel Kane, said he had had to remove Hand’s “wedged” tampon with forceps.
HuffPost UK has reached out to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for comment.
Not only did he work on the 1994 classic, but he actually won an Academy Award for Best Original Score (alongside two Grammies and a Golden Globe) for his contribution.

Still, he shared on Classic FM that he had been reluctant to take the role at first.
“I didn’t want to do Lion King, you know, cartoons – why am I doing cartoons?” he recalled.
“And, oh my God, they might turn [the songs] into musicals. I don’t really like musicals,” the film legend said he thought at the time.

However, Zimmer changed his mind because his daughter, who was six at the time, had never been able to go with him to the premiere of any of the movies he’d worked on, because “all the movies with Ridley Scott are not necessarily child-friendly”.
So he agreed to make the film – but when he sat down to write, more family matters came up for Zimmer.

“My dad died when I was six years old, and here I am sitting in front of this cartoon, and it’s about the death of a father – with fart jokes, admittedly,” he revealed.
“And I realise… it’s a complete lie that children get over this stuff. They don’t get over it, they just find out really clever ways of hiding this stuff.”
The composer shared he couldn’t “hide” his feelings anymore, and “I basically wrote a requiem for my dad, and it became a really serious piece.”

That made it “deeper than your normal cartoon,” both for him and The Lion King’s viewers.
Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has weighed in on the ongoing discourse around Hollywood’s so-called “nepo babies”.
Debates about nepotism in the entertainment industry are nothing new, but the conversation has become much more prominent in the 2020s, thanks in part to a piece in New York magazine about the new generation of A-listers whose parents are already established figures in the entertainment industry.

The “nepo baby” label is one that has repeatedly been levelled against Gracie since her emergence on the pop scene, as her dad is Star Wars filmmaker JJ Abrams.
During a recent appearance on the New York Times’ Popcast, Gracie shared her take on the subject, admitting she thinks it’s “appropriate” that people are aware of the privilege she grew up around.

“The nepo stuff is obviously in the discourse appropriately,” she claimed. “I think about the privilege there and… it’s like, I had a safety net, and that allowed me the ability to experiment and to concentrate.”
She continued: “I had the gift of time to dedicate to doing this thing I loved. I wasn’t growing up afraid financially, and that’s the biggest deal.”

Discussing her relationship during her latest interview, Gracie claimed that being with Paul was “a part of my life that brings me so much peace and joy”.
“I’m not going to pretend like that’s not true, but I also think it’s not like an open-door policy,” she said of the media attention the two have received since they began dating.
And as ScreenRant pointed out, the movie should satisfy long-standing viewers on another front too: it addressed a decades-long plot hole.
Buzz Lightyear doesn’t know he’s a toy for much of the first 1995 Toy Story movie. He truly believes he’s a Space Ranger and tries to contact his Space Command.

But that leaves a problem fans have previously pointed out on sites like Reddit: if Buzz doesn’t think he’s a toy, why does he freeze when Andy (the human owner of the toys) enters a room he’s also in?
All the other toys stop moving and talking whenever a person can see them, presumably so they can keep up their secret activity unnoticed.
But, some fans have argued, if Buzz saw himself as another human, it didn’t make sense for him to maintain the illusion of inanimacy.
The new movie begins with a batch of Buzz Lightyear toys, all of which (though they’d probably prefer “of whom”) think they’re real Rangers.
Like Andy’s Buzz Lightyear, they try to contact their Space Command and can’t get through. Instead, they end up in a shipping crate in a shipyard.

When a worker gets close to them, all of the toys freeze.
And once they come back to life, one of them asks: “Why did we freeeze?”
Nobody has an answer, though one Buzz muses: “fascinating”.
It doesn’t fully explain the plot hole. But it does address it, and it shows that freezing isn’t a conscious choice for the toys – meaning Buzz probably froxe because he didn’t have any other option.
77-year-old musician Lionel Richie cut the first concert of his 26-date Sing A Song All Night Long tour short last night after saying he was “dizzy” on stage, Minnesota publication Bring Me The News has reported.
The iconic Endless Love star, who was headlining alongside Earth, Wind & Fire, was playing at the Grand Casino Arena in St Paul, Minnesota, the publication shared.

But about an hour into his set, after playing beloved hit Three Times A Lady, he apparently called for an unexpected break.
Afterwards, Deadline said, saxophonist Dino Soldo came on stage and announced Lionel wouldn’t be coming back as he was unwell.
“Unfortunately, Lionel is not feeling well,” the musician announced, adding, “Additional information will be available”.

The Minnesota Star Tribute added that he said he’d never sat down while performing energetic hit Dancing On The Ceiling before, and joked: “When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your ass down”.

An outpouring of well wishes has appeared on social media since. “Hope he’s OK”, one fan said on X after praising the “teriffic” show.
“Wishing him all the best! It was a great concert up to that point. EWF [Earth Wind & Fire] was at the top of their game,” another added.

Before the show, Lionel had shared an excited post to his Instagram, which read: “Opening night. Rehearsals. Sound check. Showtime tonight. Saint Paul, you’re up!!!”
Fans have since replied to the post: “Hope you are feeling better. Take care of yourself! We love you and enjoyed every minute of the show tonight. Your fans will always support you!”

More comments read, “hope you’re okay after the break!! what we heard was amazing! best of luck to future tour dates,” and thanking him for his performance.
The group, whose eligible members decide who’s the Academy Awards winners and nominees at the Oscars, boasts thousands of members who are divided into 19 branches.

If all the invitees take the Academy up on their offer, its voting members will rise to 10,338, The Guardian said.
Not all of these members are actors, either. Some are executives or PRs, while others work in the film industry in roles like writing and producing.

That, the Academy explained, means they “have been invited to join the Academy by multiple branches. These individuals must select one branch upon accepting membership”.
During 2024′s Oscars ceremony, Janet Yang, then-president of the Academy, said: “Actors vote for actors; film editors vote for film editors; costume designers for costume designers; and so on… Best Picture nominations, however, are determined by all Academy members.”

The Academy’s site said that “Most categories are voted on by eligible voting members of the corresponding branch; however, certain categories may be open to members across all voting branches. Entries are voted on by a secret online ballot.”
In the finals voting process, meanwhile, “all eligible Academy members may participate… Members may vote in all 24 award categories.”

Another of the Romanian movie series is set to leave on the same day. This comedy is a sequel to #Seflie, with some familiar names in the cast list. It focuses on “a trio of party-loving friends [who] make a bet: who can get married in three days” after a breakup?

Based on a true story, this drama has a pretty juicy description: “A dentist and a Sunday school teacher begin a torrid extramarital affair that leads them to make a murderous pact.” Stars include James Nesbitt (Cold Feet), Genevieve O’Reilly (Andor), and Laura Pyper (Emma).

This 16-episode Korean school drama involves “a bullied high school orphan [who] finds herself in the place of an identical-looking girl who’s gone missing” after losing her memory. Cast members include Yook Sung-jae (The Golden Spoon) and Nam Joo-hyuk (The Great Battle).
It might have seemed like an impossible feat to top the award-winning Baby Reindeer, but Richard Gadd believes he’s done it with Half Man.
Speaking to the Radio Times in the lead-up to the release of his latest TV offering earlier this year, Richard was asked what he thought was the best scene he’d ever written.

Initially, he admitted that due to his “self flagellating” personality, his instinct is to praise the “scenes that had to be cut”.
“I sometimes go to them because I think I’ve convinced myself that they were sort of ‘the one’,” he claimed.
But, out of everything that did make the final cut, he settled on one scene in particular as his favourite.

“Potentially the best one I’ve ever written, although it’s so hard to say that, because it’s all kind of speculative and contextual, is maybe the final scene between the two of them when they’re talking face to face,” he explained.
In Half Man, Richard plays the violent yet loyal Ruben, a man who has a toxic relationship with his “brother”, the meek and mild-mannered Niall, played by Jamie Bell.
In a brutal final scene between the two pseudo-brothers, Niall visits Ruben in jail, and finally comes out to him.

Ruben is surprisingly accepting of the revelation, admitting he had been anticipating the conversation.
“You’ve wasted your whole life dancing to other people’s tunes, but you’ve never had the rhythm,” Richard’s character says.

The moment is notable because it finally lets Niall see Ruben for who he really is, beneath his anger, and helps Niall realise that much of the homophobia in his life had been internal, and not due to his surroundings.
Last month, Richard broke the scene down to Time magazine, claiming: “What Ruben essentially says to him there is, ‘you’ve always been an individual, and you should have been proud of that. You’ve wasted your whole life trying to be a sheep, trying to blend in with the nine-to-fivers, the straight guys, and the heterosexual couples, but you’ve never had the rhythm. You’ve always been separate from that’.”
During that emotional final showdown between the two men, Ruben also discloses that he had been sexually abused as a child by his father, telling Niall that “in a lot of ways, it’s the closest I’ve ever been with someone”.

Richard told Time: “That line speaks to the way he felt he was too innocent to know any better, and ever since that moment, he’s built this kind of prison of defensiveness around himself.
“There was a freedom taken from him in that moment, and his life changed.”
He added: “Until he breaks down with Niall, he’d never allowed himself to feel vulnerable. His best form of defence is always attack. He’s built a life around trying to make up for this thing that happened to him, which he sees, wrongly, as a dent to his character.”
Elsewhere in his Radio Times interview, Richard also revealed he came up with the idea for Half Man before making Baby Reindeer, admitting he couldn’t “shake” off the concept.

“It stayed with me,” he recalled. “And it stayed with me all the way through Baby Reindeer and I would always be, ‘Oh, please, can it still be there the other side?’ Because I knew the BBC was interested, and I really wanted to do it with the Beeb. And I just would always hope and pray it was still there. And, luckily, it was.”

The former Top Gear host said: “the prostate, 10% of it’s dead… the 10% where the cancer is”. He said that the cancer had been caught early.
The episodes also revealed Jeremy sitting on a hospital bed, stating some of the treatment had gone “awry”. In the footage, he added, “I’m going to be here for a little while. I don’t know what’s going to happen.

“What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I’ll see you in season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t… Take care, everyone.”
Since then, Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper has given fans an update.
Speaking to the Daily Mail in an exclusive, he said: “The spirits are high, which is good”.
He added, “If anything like this happens to any of your friends and you just said to my best mate, you’ve gotta be supported through that whole journey.

“And that’s where I’ve been, I’ve been right by his side and his spirits are really good, so thank you… He’s strong-minded, he’s got a strong mind on him, which is good.”
The 66-year-old has received a lot of well wishes, including from Piers Morgan, with whom he has shared a tumultuous relationship.
In an X post, Piers said: “I was surprised when Jeremy Clarkson texted me on Boxing Day to say how much he liked my… ad urging men to get tested for prostate cancer. Now I understand. I wish my old sparring partner all the best with his treatment. Guys, have a PSA [Prostate-Specific Antigen] test, it may save your life.”

In the past, Clarkson told The Times, that he regularly gets checked for the disease. He said he’d seen “too many friends go down with prostate cancer”, adding, “all it takes is a moment or two” to see how you’re doing.
Kaleb had a similar message in the Daily Mail interview.
“Catching anything early is quite important,” he said.
“That’s the main thing, but you’ve gotta keep checking. People can sit there and say I’m busy, busy, busy,” the farmer and author continued.

“But actually sometimes you’ve gotta go, I’m gonna just have to check and see if I’m okay.”
Peter Capaldi, who was the 12th Doctor on BBC hit Doctor Who, has spoken out about his exit from the show.
The Thick Of It Star left the franchise in 2017. In a recent appearance on YouTube series 100 Questions with John Simmons, he claimed that he decided to leave the role because “I just wasn’t sure that it was going to go in the direction that I… everybody was leaving that I’d worked with.”
He added, “Everybody was leaving. Jenna [presumably Jenna Louise-Coleman, who played the Doctor’s companion Clara Oswald] had gone, and Steven [probably former head writer Steven Moffat, who also left in 2017] was going, and Brian [likely Brian Minchin], the producer, was going, and those are the people that make it work for you.

“We’d had some talks about the direction. I wasn’t sure that that was where I wanted to go with the show. And I also thought, I’m not sure I could come up with anything new.”

Peter continued to say that while his regeneration, which saw the actor replaced by Jodie Whittaker, was “very sad”, he thinks that the biological process the Doctor uses to survive serious damage has become “diminished”.

Calling the concept “a very, very powerful death motif,” he said, “To be perfectly honest, I think there are too many regenerations.
“I love all the Doctors, but I’ve lost count now of how many of them there are, so the weight of this kind of regeneration is diminished. Whereas when I grew up as a kid, the first time it happened it was: ‘What just happened there?’ It was mysterious and strange. It holds the mystery of the show, the regeneration.”
On the Half Of The Picture podcast this year, he claimed: “The show became very, very big. And it was never like that when I loved it. So it became a different thing.
“I think the show is a little bit of a victim of its success. You know, the show that I loved was a tiny thing, a little small thing that survived. It just survived, but nobody knew that it was warming its way into the culture in such a deep way. And I think that’s what I have an affinity with.”
